Just realised I have to be straight about this but in terms of art… I am not doing good.
I’ll be trying to focus on doing studies and rebuilding what I know for the foreseeable future.

The other night husband and I were watching a documentary about the yeti where they were doing DNA analysis of samples of supposed yeti fur, and every one of them came back as bears.
Anyway, the next night we watched a thing about some pig man who is supposed to live in Vermont. People said it had claws and a pig nose but walked upright like a man. Now, I happen to know that sideshows used to shave bears and present them as pig men. So every piece of evidence they gave of this monster sounds to me like a bear with mange.
So now the running joke in our house is that everything is bears. Aliens? Bears. Loch Ness monster? Bear. Every cryptozoological mystery is just a very crafty bear.
Bears. They’re everywhere. Be wary. Anyone or anything could be a bear.
oh shit
As the OP of this post, I’m going to threaten that if this gets to one million notes by the 10 year anniversary on 1 June 2026, one year from today, I will get a lower back tattoo of the loch ness bear monster.

People are talking about how reading Dungeon Meshi gives them an internal monologue Senshi for eating properly I think we all need to adopt an internal monologue Chilchuck at work. Like the boat is literally sinking and he's just watching it happen because he's on his lunch break.
#remember chilchuk would tell you to always put ur own needs and rights first in the workplace 🧡 (@clowniconography)
This is the Union Chilchuck, reblog him to affirm your own worth as a worker and entitlement to regular breaks
#keep senshi in your heart to eat well #chilchuck in your heart to maintain boundaries #laios in your heart to stay passionate #marcille in your heart to speak your mind #and izutsumi to be kbity [X]

Words cannot describe what I’ve been feeling since that video came out
It's everywhere
There's also it's more 'diverse' fandom twin
[ID 1: drawing of four non-descript characters smiling lined up, three of them have pale skin while one has brown skin and a more mischievous expression, the characters has text pointed to them reading “that one character that gets the melanin because they’re angry/agressive” End ID]
[ID 2: drawing of four non-descript characters lined up, three of them have varied brown skin and expressions while one has pale skin and a more calm smile, the characters has text pointed to them reading “that one character that gets less of the melanin because they’re passive/calm/fancier” End ID]
This and "that one character that gets darker skin because they are masculine"
Just because I don't want to be solely negative here's a long stream of advice from Twitter about drawing Darker skin and stuff
When I was a kid, I lived on a farm, and once a year the adults would go duck hunting and bring home a few ducks. One year, it was me and my brother's job to pluck those ducks. We were, like, maybe eight or nine? Plenty old enough to pluck a duck, but with zero experience.
And that zero experience turned out to be a problem, because we hadn't had much to do with birds and the thing about a bird's feathers, right, is that you've got a feather that sits in a little sheath thing that's rooted in the body. So what you want to do is pull the feather and sheath both out. But if you're a little kid who's never done this before, all too often, the feather comes out and leaves the sheath in the body. So we'd be doing our best but the ducks would come out maybe a quarter plucked properly and otherwise still full of these feather sheaths, and then it's a matter of going back and pulling all these little sheaths out.
I remember quite clearly, my mother and aunt helping us with this part, because it's fiddly and we were taking forever. They'd take the plucked ducks and re-pluck them properly. And I remember my mum making a remark to my aunt (not maliciously, she didn't know I could hear and was just making conversation), "You know, it would've been easier for us to just do it from the start and not have to deal with all these fiddly little bits." And she was absolutely right -- my brother and I were involved for our benefit in the same way you get a young kid to "help" wash the dishes, we were learning a life skill. But even though we'd done most of the work, we'd removed most of the unwanted mass from the duck's skin, we'd actually made things harder. We'd removed all the feathers and a quarter of the sheaths, but the sheaths are much easier to remove with the feathers attached, so working on a "mostly plucked" duck was a lot more work for the adults than just doing the whole duck from scratch would have been.
Anyway, I vividly remember this incident every time someone suggests saving time by writing with AI and then just editing it into something good.

Just saw the latest version announcement.
This is it. This literally proves Wanderer is Hoyo’s favourite idec anymore he’s their star.
Jokes aside, it’s crazy bc he really seemed to have reached the pinnacle of his character arc when he refused his chance to take revenge on Dottore by when he gave his core over to Sandrone.
I meant to make a post bout it at the time I played since, to me, it was genuinely crazy that the devs would actually care to show his growth after literal years since he became Wanderer.
I’ve mentioned this in the last analysis post I made, but I’ve been pleasantly surprised seeing Hoyoverse making storytelling choices in their Genshin that make sense for the world and characters they’ve built, instead of going the cool and simple route. For example, since this was the quest for a new region, they could have kept Wanderer off the story and made up a new character to fit his role out of thin air. It would have been passable, considering the public’s expectations of gacha games, plus, that would create more sales for them. Right?
But they didn’t choose to do that, instead, they let Wanderer play a big role, which is what makes more sense story-wise. Furthermore, they could have easily taken out the core stuff and gone straight to one cool fight between Wanderer and Dottore. After all, that’s something we players have been looking forward to this entire time. But once again, they didn’t go the easy route.
What I didn’t realise prior to that quest was that revenge simply did a disservice to Wanderer’s character. His whole life prior to his erasure from Irminsul was about revenge on the god that discarded him as useless and all the others that betrayed him. Fighting and having revenge on the man that ruined his life as the climax of his second chance in Teyvat shows a lot less growth than him sacrificing his life source for his companions, for a nation that isn’t his own. He showed he’s learnt to put the greater good over his own desires and I loved seeing it on-screen.
Who would have guessed that the very unsatisfying conclusion to his Scaramouche era back in 3.3 was actually just the set up for a new character arc with a worthy pay-off lmao. I know I’d sound crazy if I told that to myself from three (almost four) years ago.
So yeah, once more, I am falling in love with Genshin a bit more lately (or maybe I am simply in too deep, or both).
Now that my thoughts about his role in Nod-Krai are over, let’s get to the spoilers that were leaked a couple weeks ago:
Feeling like this rn for real
