The way Harry's solo deal was announced and the way Liam's was fits their personalities so well how come people can't see that? Harry is way more lowkey look how many times he denied movie rumors and hey! Our baby is a movie star now!! And I love and admire that about him, the way he conducts his business. I love that him and Jeff make moves on the sly and then kill us with a small byline in a trade paper as the announcement I'm so here for the way my fave goes about his career ☺️
He’s so calculating when it comes to his career, and it’s definitely not a bad thing. He’s got so much control over how he presents himself, such a firm grasp on his public image and how much of it he’s willing to share, and when, and through which channels. While the other boys were busy throwing pinky promises around and comforting ot4 stans, Harry tried to keep to himself as much as possible, offered little more than a bunch of non-committal answers and half-assed nods. He knew what his plans were back then, Dunkirk and Full Stop and a solo career, yet he chose to keep it under wraps until the moment was right, and when that moment finally arrived he didn’t feel the need to spell it out in the sky or get a last minute spot in the Late Late Show, he let his people handle the press, let the headlines speak for themselves, and meanwhile he directed his focus to where it presently belongs: Dunkirk. It’s this misplaced sense of ownership over him that has people believing that if Harry were to go solo surely he’d send us each a postcard and a copy of his contract, right? He’s got an $80M record deal and a role in a Christopher Nolan film and the Azoffs on his side; insisting that none of it is happening just because of some ridiculously entitled notion that he wouldn’t dare move on with his life without asking for our permission first is ludicrous at best, flat out ignorant & needlessly possessive at worst.
