When it comes to mental health in mothers, I think we are supremely unrepresented. Like, i have crippling ADHD and autism, so that already puts my executive functions in the toilet. Now put me in charge of two toddlers just learning things for the first time. I'm literally on the edge every day, and I feel like it's taboo to talk about because moms are supposed to be superhuman or something. But I've never been treated for any of my disorders because they would ask questions about my parenting abilities at the office. its not good alone, but i can do it fine with a buddy or "body double". i hate it

A really sweet mentally disabled guy came into my work the other day. I’m a cashier. He gave me two beers and a pack of gum. I asked him politely if he needed a bag and he held his fannypack close to his chest and said “No, I have this, its mine and I really like it”. I thought that was sweet and said back to him “Oh thats a really cool bag, I wish I had one like that too”. He looks at me and said “wow, thanks youre cool too” And then he blushed so hard his eyes looked like they were going to pop out of his face. I think thats really sweet. <3
