In have some things to fix on my previous fanfics so I'm gonna note them down here kinda like patch notes for when I upload them to AO3 lol
Radiance Done and updated on AO3
- During the confrontation, Ashkariel can try to transform Zealothia into a marimomie, just for Zeal to transform back to their current self's shape/form.
- During their apologies, Ash can offer one of his feathers to Zeal, as a peacemaking gesture.
Hottub
- I forgot to mention Zeal was also wearing underwear oops lol who cares about it tho it's non sexual nudity, not a crime
- I want to make a more polished ending, extendidng their makeout session until they get out of the bath together, making a passerby marimomie gasp and blush, I think that would be a cute and funny ending.
Yandere
- I'm not done with this one but I am mentioning this here to hold myself accountable to finish it even tho it's been kinda hard to do so for some reason. I think the difficulty is in having a non descript idol since I don't want to name my previous kamioshi.
After These three I want to make more POV tumeship fics but they're not going to be as long.
Ashkariel (Vtuber, FSP) x Zealothia (Vtuber, Indie), yumekariel, yumeship/self ship, one shot, one scene, I still don't know how to tag these, angst/fluff, isekai
CW: Violence, slavery, offscreen death. Don't worry I didn't make him THAT evil, but I also didn't censor myself. Believe it if you want there's greater evil out there than an evil angel.
"One day, I met a fallen angel, who would then become my new god. I was just bored walking around my lake when I saw him, strolling amidst the trees, golden hair floating in the wind, black and red feathers fluttering like leaves, his gray coat making him a beautiful yet terrifying presence to find while alone in the woods. Though my footsteps make no sound, my curiosity got the best of me and I wanted to see him closer. No sooner had I decided that, he vanished from my sight and showed up behind me. My heart nearly came out of my throat but his voice sounded almost.....gentle? He told me he came to my city through a rift from another plane. His piercing green eyes seemed to follow me even when his curious and inquisitive expression softened to friendliness. I could feel he was someone really powerful so I wondered why he would gain by my ...help? guidance? I'm not sure.... But if he needs a friend in a new world I'll be more than glad to be his! God knows I didn't have that when I first got here..... "
Some time has passed and he has taken me as a helper for him. I wasn't really doing much on my own other than living and wandering around, so it's a good thing! At least now I'm doing something. He sometimes tell me he has business to attend to, people to see. Sometimes, he asks me to accompany him, and I'm always glad to do so. But my god knows all sorts of characters the likes I have never seen before.
One day, through my god, I met a scientist. He looked like he worked every single day of his human life towards something, and his mind seemed to take the biggest toll. He spoke of crystals and rifts, and goals and missions... The details are lost to me. His soft voice and polite yet not quite sane demeanor caught my attention... but deep within something in me yelled "run". Maybe it was something in the way he looked at me, that threatening glint of curiosity in his eyes. Yet I dare not tell my god, for he seems to trust this man, so I should too. ...Right?
One day, through my god, I met a police dog. He looked uptight and proper, like he believes that justice actually works. They bickered about laws of man and god, and it was incredibly amusing, though it was hard trying not to laugh. I thought he looked gullible, but something tells me it would be stupid to underestimate him... he looks like he's been through things he didn't deserve. Maybe in another life we could've been friends.
One day, through my god, I met a wanted man. He looked insanely fun, like he lived his life escaping and partying, honestly I hope we meet him again! They spoke of so many things, it was hard to keep track! Though I think even they lost track of their topics, so much so the man roped me into their conversations. He's so different yet I felt at home with him just like I do with my thief friend! God, I hope you invite the prisoner over more often, he is so much fun! Besides, any man that likes cats that much is a good man in my book.
One day, through my god, I met a.... paper spirit? another god? A shikigami. He looked incredibly regal, his purple and flowing robes left me mesmerized, I could not look away from him. I hope my God didn't notice, I don't want to make him jealous for my moment of weakness, even though this is a bit expected of me. They bickered like an old married human couple, but also spoke so quietly I could barely hear. I could feel the shikigami glancing back at me, I think he might not trust me. Or perhaps he doesn't want to deal with his friend's worshippers? I don't know.
One day, through my god, I met a cyborg man. He looked strong, yet smiled bright like the sun. His clothes reminded me of a friend from back where I live. Though he traded a few words with my god, I could tell he went through so much, as if he was world weary. His city also looks a lot like the one I live in now. He was mysterious and polite, yet something in his voice made me think we have much in common.
One day, through my god, I met an alien. His luminous hair, dark tendrils and purple parts amazed me, I hope I didn't embarrass him with my staring. He seemed mildly annoyed with my god's teasing, yet their conversations ended amicably. Since His starship often passed through his fallen grace's space temple, it seems I'll meet him often.... I even made friends with one of his crew, I believe their name was Nebbie? We shared few words, so I didn't tell him I too am not of this world... Yet I had never seen someone quite like him.
One day, through my god, I met a dinosaur. Like my beloved angel he liked to expose his chest, but the rest of his outfit was stylish and flashy, as was his laugh. They spoke like old friends for hours, like time moved at their pace. Dear lord forgive me but I have been weak once more. I thought I was stronger than this but when he smiled and patted me goodbye.... I'll be dreaming about his eyes for the rest of my days.
One day, through my god, I met an oni. I'd be scared of him if I wasn't accompanied by my darling angel, his strong aura, long dark hair and wine red horns looked imposing and majestic. They spoke of things I could barely understand, so I was happy to only accompany them. My first impression of him is he's like the ocean, blue, scary, beautiful and powerful in equal measure.
One day, through my god, I met a fire genie. His veil floated as if carried by flame, and his eyes had the same fire to them. His talk with my god seemed amicable, but I feel like they were trying to outwit one another. I had never met a genie before, but he was as gorgeous as the stories I have read. I wonder if he's the kind of genie that would grant a wish, but take away something else..... What would I even wish for?
One day, through my god, I met a zombie. His outfit was SO COOL it almost made me feel underdressed. They talked for so long but I feel like they spent most of the time joking around. He made a point to include me in the conversation even though my role there was just to accompany my god. He's a kind soul, maybe that's why he's undead, maybe he deserved a second try at...life? at dreams? I don't know, but I hope we see each other again! I want to go shopping with him!
One day, through my god, I met an incubus. He was poised and cheeky and alluring, and had a wing very similar to the ones I used to have! Him and my angel talked and flirted for hours, and I swear I saw them kiss at some point, but I didn't mean to intrude, so I pretended I didn't see anything. But the succubus was very kind for a demon, and beckoned me closer into their seats too. He saw in me things I never expressed, I hated it. I hate how easily he could read me, but it amused my god.... so I allowed myself to have fun too. I loved that night, though it reminded me of other friends that moved out of my town. I asked him if he knew a certain pink haired incubus but sadly he did not. After that I might've gotten too deep into my cups because I don't remember much else, except for my lipstick staining something, and I think I wrote my number on someone's leg?......And here I promised to myself I would never party this hard again. I just hope my god can forgive me for letting it lose while technically on the job.
Ps: "Of course he punished me, just not as hard as I expected....I'll be sore for days tho :( .......he can't know this but I kinda love it"
One day, through my god, I met a vampire. He was elegant and well mannered, and I could tell he lived a long time. His eyes remind me of strawberries. I can't tell if the conversations they had ended up amicably or not, since my dear god seemed to leave a bit frustrated. Maybe the way ancient beings communicate has nuances I can't tell, though I don't know my own age... I don't remember much from before the train that took me to my city. But if my own instincts serve me, that vampire has simple desires, like living in peace or retrieving something he lost maybe? I'm not sure, but he seems like a pleasant person. He was wildly different from my vampire friend though, so I wonder if he's much older than her? As we left I could swear I heard music coming from the halls of his castle.
One day, through my god, I met an elf. I could feel his magic aura flowing around him, which only accentuated his beauty to me. The way their dialogue started I thought they would be at each other's throats at any moment, but they seemed to understand one another well? I'm still confused. I feel like they have so much in common... He only looked at me once, but he gave me a puzzled look. I don't know what that was about, but maybe he just recognizes I have some magic skill too? Not sure. ....I'll never admit it to my dark angel but oh I hope we get to see him again, he is oh so handsome.
One day, through my god, I met a pirate. I thought I'd be ready to step on a ship again. All the while we were flying there I was steeled by my god's presence yet as soon as we stepped on deck and I could feel the ocean under us, my stomach sank and all my strength left me..... as the memories came flooding back. The captain wore a giant overcoat, so much gold and an eyepatch. I think he was handsome, but I can't remember, I was too busy trying to keep my last meal from resurfacing. I think they might've bantered or negotiated, but I just whimpered an apology and disembarked to port. I sat there and watched the ocean while humming a song to calm me down. The world was still spinning when my god met me there, my face wet with tears. His voice and reassuring pats on the back helped me back to my feet, but I felt so humiliated. My god was so kind but I could hear the amusement in his voice too, though I can't blame him, I'd rather someone be happy in this situation. All I can remember is the wild and hearty laugh of that pirate captain. If we ever meet again I hope it's not on a ship.
The sun started to set as the fallen angel and his monster follower went through the rift, arriving back at the temple upon the asteroid. Upon their arrival, a swarm of marimos with angel wings surrounded the angel, who greeted them with smiles and kisses. Zeal greeted the other worshippers at the temple, informing them the mission was concluded normally, as they walked towards the desk by the left of the altar, placing their notebook unto it. A few moments later, Ashkariel joined Zeal, putting on his round green glasses, and being served a cup of tea by another of his worshippers. They worked in silence for a while, the sound of quill and pencil and papers shuffling barely interrupted by a few words in between them. As he grabbed one of the new sheets of paper, he paused and without looking up, asked:
— Zeal. Would you like to explain what happened during our time at that pirate bay? — His tone was neutral, yet the question still filled the chimera with dread.
— Uhm I think I got seasick, my god. I apologize for that. — They dared not look at Ash, as if looking in his eyes could kill them.
— You "think", you don't know? You, who retrieves things out of the black hole for me, you who shows off your flight skills at any point, you who often hangs from my chandeliers?? Seasick?? Why do you lie to me? — His tone got angrier to a hiss as he finished his sentence, putting his quill down, his gaze weighing heavy upon Zeal.
The chimera could not look up, frozen in fear. Their mind scrambled, they dreaded this conversation more than anything.
— This is about your previous employer, isn't it?
His words felt like needles on their skin, the shock plain on their face. All the memories came rushing back. Rowdy drunk patrons disrespecting them, working endless nights while their body was wounded, falling asleep on top of piles of papers, constantly chasing after a captain pirate and trying to cater to his whims, only to be thrown overboard overnight. The tears poured over Zeal's face as they could barely breathe, Ashkariel's voice snapping them out of it.
—Your reaction confirms my suspicion, and yet I would hear the whole story.
With a shaky voice, Zealothia told him everything. From the fateful night they boarded a ship having a party on the shore of their city, to voyaging with them, to all the ways that turned sour, to how they became a slave to a captain that took their honest work for granted. To how that endangered their life for having to deal with the worst type of pirates, and sustaining injuries for months during each voyage. To the day they got thrown out and forbidden to enter again, and how they sneaked back on board, retrieved any important info and maps they had ever brought in, and set fire to said papers, left limping out, and never looking back not even when the ship eventually left for good.
All the other worshippers had slowly and discreetly left the room, out of respect and empathy. Zeal's face had dry and new tears when their story was over, their hands shaking as their body had sunk into the chair.
— Pathetic. You really let yourself be used for this long?
Time seemed to stop as Zealothia let his words register.
— Ex.cuse. me.? — the words fell out of their mouth like weight being dropped.
— You could've fled at any point, you could've raised hell in that place, you allowed that to happen. You were naive and let yourself remain in that situation until he was done using you. Discarded like a broken toy. And you didn't even set the ship on fire, how weak of a revenge. Ah, if only I wish I had met you before that, it's no good you wasted your servitude on one less deserving than me.... hahah oh but it's too late now, isn't it? You're not that manipulable anymore, are you? — He laughed, letting the poison in his words sting his worshipper, deeming them deserving of the verbal punishment.
— How. FUCKING. DARE YOU. — Zealothia roared the words, slamming their fists on the table.
Ashkariel let out an amused but slightly offended chuckle.
— What? Can you tell me I'm wrong? How dare YOU talk to me like that? I am your God. You just got here, don't think you're allowed to yell at me. — he got up, the amusement in his face turning into an impatient taunt. — Just because you're useful to me don't think I won't kill you.
— DEATH?? OHH so GOD wants to talk to ME about DEATH. — The chimera slapped the papers out of the desk, mockery and outrage on their voice as they got up, and staring fire into the angel's eyes. — I HAVE DIED BEFORE, AND WOULD GLADLY LEAVE THIS BROKEN WORLD! I WELCOME DEATH, YOU CAN'T SCARE ME, YOU PUNY GOD.
Zealothia raised their fists above their head, but Ashkariel pushed the desk out to the side abruptling, making it slide across the marble floors, paper and objects falling from it. The furious chimera missed their slam, but locked back into the angels eyes, their fangs and claws growing as they lunged for his neck. He deflected their hand with his arms, but couldn't avoid a gash on his chest, gold pouring from it and staining his jacket. The chimera screeeched, mere inches from his face, and with a grunt Ash tried to shake his arms off the monster's grasp, kicking them in the stomach. Zeal got launched out of their grapple, the pain at their core making them gasp, drool falling to the floor. Ash rubbed his wrists, he knew of the monster's strenght but had never been it's target before. He was midly suprised, but extremely annoyed, the cut on his chest stinging as it bled. Another roar shook the room and recentered his attention, as the monster leaped towards him. With a wave of his hand several iron chains spawned, lashing and restraining the angered beast to the ground again. They squirmed and thrashed wildly, trying to break free, yet Ash grabbed and tugged at them, breaking the creature's balance.
— See? — His breath ragged, he smiled triumphantly. — You should fear me, monster. I'll always bring you to your knees.
The creature shook as it laughed, first contained, then cackling, a crazed look on their eyes. The angel couldn't help but be taken aback by the creepy sight as the monster shook the chains partially off, grabbing onto two of them and whipping them on the ground, sending electricity through the links. Shock burned through the Angel's body, searing the edge of his clothes and feathers, making a scream escape his mouth, as he stammered back and dropped the chains. Zeal grabbed some of the chains, lumbering towards him under the weight and restraint of the metal, trying to lash them wildly towards the man.
— You can bring me to my knees but I won't pray for mercy, O God. There ain't nothing you could do that ain't already been done to me.....
The monster shifted its shape, ripping the seams of their clothes as they grew their hands and legs into a hulking shape. They broke some of their chains around their neck with one hand, sending the warped links clinking into the ground. With one swing, several chains hit the angel, who got smashed onto a pillar. He regained his senses and took flight, trying to think of a fast way to shut the monster down. Flying and dodging swings he could see the bruises on their body, though they barely showed signs of being tired. Ash reached one hand to the chandelier at the center of the room, gathering its fire in this hand, and hurled it at the monster on the ground. Zeal dodged it barely, getting part of their leg burned, as the fire blasted a wooden bench by them and spread to the others. With a scream they whipped another chain angrily, tears streaming down their face. The beast screamed and tumbled, in a frenzy. The links wrapped themselves around Ashkariel's leg and brought him down, slamming him on the ground as he got pulled by the shimera running from the fire. He braced and groaned as his body got dragged around the floor, his wings barely avoiding the flaming furniture. "This is pointless...... how do I stop this..." He thought, as he tried to grab a pillar, and shake off the chain wrapped around his leg.
— Zealothia!! Stop this!! — He looked from the ground, breath ragged, body bruised, cut and dirty.
He saw the creature trying to free its own wings, breaking and warping the chains still around their form. Tears poured from their eyes, as they paid no mind to the angel's words.
— Come on now, that's quite enough of th- — He continued.
— SHUT UP!!! ......You can't do anything for me.... you don't deserve me! — They yanked at the chains, caught on their hair and clothes, ripping them off in parts along with the chains. — I'm going home myself!! I'm going .... I'm... *sob*
The angel leaned on a pillar to bring himself back up again, approached cautiously, ready to fight or take flight if needed. He dusted himself off as his body ached.
— Home where, Zeal? — his tone was firm, but this time clear of snark or cruelty.
— DON’T CALL ME!!!!!!!...... Don’t talk to me…… I’ll go die and restart somewhere else…. until I find someone …t—that… someone….. t— They fell to their knees, finally getting rid of their restraints, their body battered and bruised. They buried their face in their hands as they cried, their body reverting back to it’s original humanoid shape.
Ashkariel took a deep breath, observing Zealothia, crying on the ground before him. The room destroyed, some furniture still on fire, scratches of chains and links, feathers and hair and blood littered the ground. He looked at the monster person before them, thinking back to the first shy smile they gave him, and all they’ve been through in just a couple months. He thought of all the times the chimera was ready to serve him, eagerly prostrating before him, all the times they put themself at his feet, accepting praise and punishment with satisfaction, their undeniable devotion. The sound of fire and their sobs for interrupted by Zeal’s anguished screech.
— AAAAAAAAAAhhhhh……… no… I don’t want to die again…. I don’t know why, I don’t know… I don’t want to…… — they trembled, clutching their head as they sat on the floor.
Ash stepped closer, his boots finding footing in between the broken chainlinks on the floor. He slowly crouched and touched Zeal’s shoulder, unsure of what to say, but trying to bring them back to the present.
The monster flinched at his touch, whipping their head at him, their eyes wet, face covered in soot and bruises. Their voice sounded grave and tired when they spoke.
— God Ashkariel…. please… let me find a place here by your side……. — They reached for his wrists, their touch soft as they placed his hands around their neck. — Or send me home. Please?
The silence was unbearable as Ashkariel looked into Zealothia’s eyes, his fingertips touching their neck at the weak guidance of their claws. Memories flashed behind his eyes, and his wings shivered. He let out a breath as his hands slowly moved to cup their face instead. He leaned forward and kissed their lips softly, tasting their salty tears. He helped them up to their feet, holding them close.
— No Zeal, live. You have to live. That's an order. — He kissed them again, feeling more warm tears rolling down their face, gently holding the monster’s head as their lips embraced. — Make your home by my side. Our handmade heaven.
As Zeal pulled back, they tried to open their mouth, but could barely look at the angel in his eyes, stammering and stuttering apologies. They sniffles and let their forehead fall on his chest, wrapping their arms around his waist. Ash held them for a while, until their sobs and shivers stopped. Their tiny hoarse voice came out eventually.
— I am sorry. I didn’t mean to lose my cool. I’m s-sorry I broke the room. I…. can try to fix.
Ash pulled their head back, their forehead now stained with his golden blood, as they looked up to him, an incredibly guilty pout on their lips.
— I am sorry too. I thought you liked it when I punish you but clearly I went too far and disrespected you….. or your past. — He patted their head, even though he was growing mildly concerned at the furniture still in embers at the corner of the room.
— W-well, but I do…. just…. that was too much. I don’t mind when uhm…. I don’t mind when you beat me up…. but sometimes when you call me certain things it reminds me of those painful things….. and it stops being fun. I’m sorry. I should leave the past in the past, you have nothing to do with that. — They grabbed at his leather coat, struggling to express themself after all this.
— Ah, I understand. We can promise to be clearer with one another now, okay? — He grabbed them gently by the shoulders and placed them so he could look Zeal straight in the eyes. — But for now we should probably put out this fire. Right??
Zeal’s eyes grew big at his words and they turned their head to see the flaming furniture. With a tiny gasp they ran to it, trying to find the one part of the flaming rubble, grabbed it and wobbly flew out of the bounds of the air, into space. They looked back from the expanse into the room, with Ashkariel looking back at them, finally moving to tidy up the room, tossing the smaller pieces of embers into the void. When the embers seemed to cool down from the inside of the wood, Zeal flew back into the room, only now realising how tired and battered their body was after the conflict.
— Say you…. never told me how you can just breathe in space…. do you wanna tell me what you really are? — Ash asked them, in a casual tone that sounded a tinge apologetical, while looking back at Zeal expectantly.
Zeal placed the retrieved wood into a pile, then helped him lift the heavy desk and place it back in it’s place.
— So… I thought I was a human that died and transformed into this shapeshifting creature, right?
— Right. — He said, vaguely recalling something like so when they were first introduced.
— I think I was wrong. I might’ve been a monster o-or alien maybe, all along! …..Just diguised as a human maybe? I don’t know… I have all these dreams that tell me a bit about myself but it’s hard to understand everything… — Zeal picked up a few papers, many of them ruined by their combat.
— I see. Well, you have all the time in the world to figure it out. And I’ll be glad to have you around, since not many I know can just survive in the void. — Ash offered them a smile, as he fixed his desk candelabra.
Zeal smiled back at him, letting out a surprised gasp when their hands touched by accident as both fixed the table’s contents. The monster retrieved their hand, blushing, but the angel chuckled, and grabbed their hand again, intentionally this time. He gave it a reassuring squeeze, before letting it go and moving on to assessing the scratches and chips at the room’s stonework. Zealothia gathered as much wood as they could and told the angel they’d bring it to the kitchen’s furnace. He nodded back, thanking his worshipper for the effort. In his moment alone he wondered about the future alongside Zeal. It was clear to him he enjoyed his subject’s suffering, but he meant it when he wanted to see them live. He tried to bring his thoughts to the intel they gathered together after their many visits, but a certain monster's smile now haunts his mind.
Ashkariel (Vtuber, FSP) x Zealothia (Vtuber, Indie), yumeship/self ship, fluff, making out, i don’t know how to tag these things I’m just going off of what I learned from my friend Necro reading their ffxiv fics help, one shot, one scene, I wrote all of this in one sitting because the deeeemons in my brain made me do it, Enjoy~
Upon the mysterious meteor that glides dangerously close to a black hole, a new god's base sits. And yet, even god needs their rest, and has a preference for soaking in thermal waters.
Upon the mysterious meteor that glides dangerously close to a black hole, a new god's base sits. And yet, even god needs their rest, and has a preference for soaking in thermal waters.
Ashkariel the Risen let out a sigh as the warmth and steam melted the tension on his shoulder muscles, calmly splashing water on his toned body as he sat on the massive bathtub carved out of a piece of quartz about the size of a bus. A small keepsake from his planet of origin, he turned the carved the stone with his own powers, for the God loved nature as much as he loved his comforts.
Watching the water ripples as his hair hung outside of it, it's great length almost touching the ground as it draped by the side of the bathtub. His wings already half submerged, feathers black, red and shiny under the dim lights of the steamy room.
Ah! — A quiet voice gasped from the door. — I-I'm so sorry I didn- I thought it was empty-
The angel turned back to the door, where one of his worshippers stood, bathrobes and a basket in hand. They were bowing and turning to leave nervously when his own voice echoed through the room.
Zeal. — his tone neutral, as he gazed at the intruder.
Zealothia slowly turned to face the god again, gaze shyly trying to meet his, but darting back to the ground. As as recalled it, Zeal simply described themselves as a monster. Their head had a massive bun of purple hair, adorned with green translucent horns and bat ears, and sure they had claws and fangs and their bare feet were more paw than foot but otherwise, they looked pretty human shaped.
Uhm... Yes, m- uh... dear god? — Their question snapped Ash out of analyzing his new companion. — Do you need anything? ...I didn't mean to intrude you see I thought the room was empty. — They blushed, but slowly regained their composure.
I recall you keep requesting to braid or play with my hair.... It just so happens I feel like I could use some of that right about now. — As he smiled and finished speaking, Zeal's eyes were already shining with barely contained excitement. — And who knows I might even allow you to join me... what do you say? — He winkes and leans on the hottub's edge.
OH MY ASH OKAY THANKYOU SO MUCH I won't disappoint, I promise! — They squealed, their messy hair almost unfurling as they clutched the basket to their chest. They started taking steps forward until a realisation halted them on their tracks. — O-oh uhm. Are you..... okay with me seeing you nude.... or sh-should I give you some space for ... or uhh bring s-
It's okay, Zeal. I'm not actually naked. There were some marimomies with me but the room got too hot for them, so I sent them on their way. You know how I take good care of my marimomies...... including you. — His voice smooth as silk made the monster blush, and yet Zeal's intuition told them he wasn't quite done — And why are YOU.... not in your jar?? Do I need to hydrate you forcefully again?
N-no! I was uhh on cobweb duty, and taking care of archives and s-stuf you see so I uhm — The purple haired creature stepped closer, stammering.
I'm just messing with you. It's just truly confounding you're one of the few marimomies that can transform back to your form at will.... — Ash reached out and gently grabbed Zeal by their chin, his emerald eyes gazing deep into their own green eyes.
Zeal let out a mischievous chuckle, even though Ash's touch and stares made them blush bright. As they smiled, the triangles under their eyes squished, Ash then noticing they were more like tattoos than makeup. He loved torturing Zeal, loved even more when they begged for it, but something stirred deep within his broken heart when he would hear their laugh.
Alright hop to it, darling — He said, and tossed his long golden locks out for his worshipper, and relaxed back on his seat.
Zeal placed the basket on the hot tub's edge, and from it took a small vial of herbal oil, and spread it on their hands. The aroma filled the room, Ash's vast knowledge about plants easily telling him: Rosemary and lavender.
I'm gonna start with a scalp massage, okay? — The chimera quietly inquired, to which the God simply hummed back in agreement.
Their small claws and fingers softly brushed his hair back, and with a bit more pressure, started the repetitive and slow motions, circular at the hairline, then back and forth at the top of his head, and upwards with their thumbs at the back of his head and nape. "His muscles are so tense.... or is he that strong?.... we never fought with only fists, so I wonder...." The chimera's thoughts wandered as they slowly brushed and pressed his roots. "So much hair.... so so beautiful.... he smells so nice too.... Oh gods I hope he doesn't have telepathy..." they glided their claws back, as if loosely brushing his hair, carefully around his ears, now without his usual earrings, chains and cuffs. They carefully held his head, parting the hair away expertly to make way for their fingers to spread the oils. His thorny halo floated above, barely missing Zeal's horns as they got closer.
Ash's eyes grew heavy and he closed them, though his body did not surrender so easily to the soft caresses. He could feel the steam wrapping around his skin, Zeal's claws brushing and combing his hair gently, and the tension slowly releasing from his hands and wings. Suddenly catching his attention a small hum, coming from right behind him.
Are you.... singing? — His low voice almost a hum too. His eyes opened as his head leaned forward, his sight only capturing the clear rippling water, the steam and his own swimming trunks.
Oh... I think I zoned out, my bad....I-i guess you can tell I'm enjoying this a lot right? haha — Zealothia apologized, as they finished with the massage and let go of Ash's head.
Well, you deserve my divine affections.... So I'll allow it. — He smiled back at them, as the monster reached for the basket again.
Can I ask you to please wet your hair now? It's time to cleanse it! — They smiled back at him, this time picking up a small stone that smelled of paperbark.
Of course, my darling. — He smirked, as he saw the smile turn to flustered surprise before submerging himself, allowing hair and halo to soak.
As he pulled his hair into the water to make sure it all got properly damp, he heard a "pop" within the room. He surfaced and looked at Zeal, who had a weary expression, rubbing the back of their right hip, purple hair now fully disheveled out of the bun.
...What was that noise? — He enquired with a raised eyebrow, staring at Zeal
O-oh um I just ...It's just my back haha that's uhh normal... — The chimera explained sheepishly, somewhat jumbled by the sight of Ashkariel dripping water. They thought that seeing the angel shirtless often would've made them less flustered in his presence, but they thought wrong.
Truly?? But that was so loud! — He protested, shuffling closer to his previous seat.
Y-yeah.... I guess I was just a bit tired, you know how it is.... after the uh... Incident.... that brought me here, and uh, working today without sitting I guess I'm a little bit crumpled, I'm sor- — Zeal tried to explain, still rubbing their back, before getting interrupted by the angel again.
Zeal, are you in pain right now?? — He stared at them, sounding almost angry.
W-well I am, almost all of the time a bit.... Dear God... — They could barely bring themself to look into his eyes.
Without a word he offered a dripping hand to them, face still stern. — Come on now, you know you don't need to suffer unless I want you to!! It's not fun this way!! Besides, I need you to be okay to do a proper job on my hair!!
Stunned silent, Zeal accepted his hand and got pulled into the bathtub too, carefully stepping over the thick sculpted quartz border. They had a humble smile when they looked up to Ash, their head around the height of his shoulders as they stood side by side. The god smirked back to them, and brushed some curls out of their face, brushing his thumb slowly on their face, which sent chills down Zeal's sore spine.
Now, sit on the edge there and let's get back to it, shall we? — He motioned to the spot, patting the chimera on their shoulder.
They took their seats, Zeal making space for Ash to sit in front of them, his wet hair twice as heavy now. The monster dampened the small paperbark shampoo bar and rubbed it agains their hands, then placed it by their side, foam covering their hands. Ashkariel sat patiently as he felt Zeal's dextrous fingers brush and lather his scalp, the fresh sweet smell of the shampoo filling the room. He once more closed his eyes, and heard Zeal's quiet hummings, though he could not recognize the song. Their voice was calming like a lullaby, even though some of Zeal's weariness still could be heard in their tone. The soft rubbing on his head and their little song lulled Ash's whole body into finally relaxing, and visions of places he's been before started to pop back into his mind. A beautiful and vast meadow of lavender, a lush jungle with chattering rivulets, windy heights, mesmerizing canyons, warm rooms, with chatter and laughter, candles, drinks, and song.... and outside..... snow..... so frosty. So empty. Piercingly cold. Crushingly Desolate.
Zeal worked their techniques as they hummed old songs that sounded calm, almost meditative to them. Songs of beautiful places people once want to return to, places they wouldn't want to die far from. Places that feel like home. And a song about two people in a field, dancing. Slowly but surely they felt their finger straining more than they should, and then they noticed "His head got so heavy........ wait..... am I ....hoding it?? Did he fall asleep?" Zeal held his foamy head in place as they tried to figure out what to do, trying to figure out if he really was asleep. They noticed the small twitch of his wings, folded to give Zeal space to work with the long length of his hair. The monster stood there, kinda unsure of what to do, but tiredness won and they sat back, allowing Ash's head to be lowered gently onto their lap. Though Zeal saw then he was indeed asleep, he didn't seem that relaxed anymore, his expression somewhat furrowed. The monster examined his perfect face, as if truly sculpted in heaven. They felt tempted to give him a forehead kiss, but decided against it, for they know they would feel conflicted if someone did this to them. But no soon as he got gently placed on their lap, Ashkariel jolted awake. He raised his head back up swiftly, not looking at Zeal.
Uhm... Did I hurt you? — Zeal patiently asked, looking worriedly at him.
No. — His answer was sharp, but without anger. Almost without feeling.
....You can rinse your hair if you want. I'm almost done. O-only.... two more steps. I'll be fast. — The monster shyly said, fidgeting with their hands.
Without another word, Ashkariel submerged himself again, washing off the shampoo. He surfaced, and with eyes closed he slowly breathed to calm down his heart again, as best as he could. He was sitting back down when Zeal interrupted him.
Ah- uhm... You can... sit a bit further that way now.... so I can apply all this hair mask..... oh god i hope I have enough.... and then I'll braid it and put it up so you can let it work for a couple minutes... then maybe I can start working on my hair too.... — Zeal told him, muttering the last sentence more to themself.
Ash leaned forward, mere inches away from their face, which immediately flustered the chubby monster, his wet hair sliding like waterfalls off his shoulders.
What is that? You don't want your new god next to you? Got shy out of sudden? — He teased, a wicked grin on his face.
Ohhh you know it's not that! — Zeal blushed, turning their face away from his, playfully tapping his shoulder. — Y-you know I ...always want you next to me.... it's just that you have like two kilometers of really silky golden hair.... I can't do a good job if I'm glued to you, My Fallen Grace....
Hm hm. Oh I do know how much you looove to be close to me... you can't get enough of me, can you? — He said in a honeyed tone, sliding one finger on Zeal's cheek, softly beckoning them to look into his eyes again.
Blushing furiously, Zeal stammered, their diamond shaped pupils locked into his bright green eyes, as they felt his warm breath on their skin. All they could do was bite their lip, hands trembling under so much of Ash's attention. They could only manage to nod back to him, as no words were coming out. The Angel laughed and stood back up.
Oh you so look adorable when you're squirming and stuttering. What a good marimomie you are. — He said, sitting back to where Zeal instructed.
Zeal felt as if they could melt at any point and yet continued their work. Yet as soon as they grabbed the shampoo bar of the ledge with their trembling hands, it slipped fast like a bullet, into the depths of the bathtub.
Oh no! Uhm I'm gonna get it! I p-promise I'm not trying anything funny! — Zeal explained, and slowly submerged to retrieve the shampoo. They scrambled but eventually found the now half melted bar and brought it back to their basket sheepishly. Ash just watched it all with a smirk, very much enjoying his effect on his worshipper, and trying to bury the thought of his dream and memories with the present. Zeal grabbed a pot of cream the size of a soccer ball, placed it on the edge of the bathtub by Ash and resumed their work: gently sectioning his hair, applying and spreading the sweet smelling cream, braiding it, and giving it for him to hold out of the water. All the while Ash would steal glances, observing Zeal working with a smile, seeming truly content of caring for him thusly. He watched as their now loose and wet purple hair draped and clinged around their body, long like his own, but to Zeal's much shorter proportions. As Zeal handed him the braids, they eventually noticed his staring.
What? — They asked with a smile, without skipping a beat on their process.
You just look adorable serving your God so happily. Would that everyone served me so.... eagerly. — He smirked, his usual smug expression
I believe one day a lot more marimos will, my lord. — The chimera replied, already one fourth done with the veritable blanket of Ashkariel's hair.
...Why do you trust me so openly? Naturally I am perfect and deserving of such worship, but even those stronger than you aren't always as ......brave. Or as tauntingly bratty as you. — The angel bundled his braids in his hand, as some of them tried to unravel.
Well, like I told you before, I'm a monster from another plane of existence! Just like your friends all came through the right, "my city" got connected to yours once a rift appeared there too! Also it's because I know there is nothing you can do that hasn't already been done to me. — They said, as they handed him another braid. — You're evil, but not that kind of evil.
Hm... You pay attention... And you've been through a hell of your own, then. — He received yet another braid from them, now with a pensive expression, long golden lashes still full of droplets.
Sure have! I also think I might've died somehow before taking this form... but that I don't know for certain, since there was no one there when I woke up in that train crash. So I'm probably not even from "my city". But it's okay! If it pleases you to hear my god, the truth is you're the best master I've ever served since then! — they chuckled, fast fingers handing him yet another braid.
Of course I am the best! You do well to recognize it. — He said, chest puffed full of confidence, wings fluttering with drippy feathers.
.....God, can you kill my previous masters please? — Zeal leaned into his vision, grinning ear to ear.
...No. — He answered curtly.
Awww mannn... — Zeal complained, now working on the other half of his hair.
Ashkariel allowed himself to zone out once more, and eventually heard another of Zeal's hummings, this time a song he recognized:
"They're soakin'
Caught in a dream
Her skin shines like
Crystalline"
He just allows himself to enjoy the moment, being handed his braids, soaking in the sweet herbal aroma, the soft humming of their companion filling the room. Bit by bit his body relaxed again, he could feel the tension melt, so much so even his halo seemed to tilt and droop.
Aaaand done! Now give me all of them I'm going to uhh... find a way..... to tie them all. — Zeal happily exclaimed, extending hands to receive that hefty amount of hair again.
Ash slipped all of his hair back to them, who tied it all into a heavy low bun, securing it with a shower cap.
Alright! Not too shabby if you ask me.... that was a bit more of an arm workout than I was expecting! — Zealothia slid closer to Ashkariel, brushing away a few hair strands that clung to their face. — Uh... is it okay if I remove my robe? I kinda got it soaked...
The angel looked back to them, their fluffy towel bathrobe fully drenched. He nodded to the chimera, who removed their garment, still wearing their boxers, leaving the robe to dry at the edge of the quartz.
Zealothia sat down with a satisfied but tired sigh, closing their eyes for a moment while the water was covering up to their chest scars. As soon as they opened it, Ash was sitting right by them, which made them jump, letting out a tiny squeal. He laughed, amused at the monster's skittishness.
Thank you Zeal~ Such a good marimomie! I even feel like rewarding you.... but only if you beg for it. — He smirked as he leaned close to them, who were already blushing bright.
But that's not fair! Then you get two things, the treatment and the begging! It's not a reward if I have to beg for it! — The monster pouted, still blushing a bit, arms crossed in protest.
But you do want it, do you not? — Ashkariel just laughed devilishly.
Hmpfff.... Can you please reward me for a job well done, Ashkariel? Pretty please? I deserve it, right? — They pouted, looking deep into his eyes, but their tone softened.
But their hand reached his under the water, their pinky finger caressing his, betraying all the yearning Zealothia had been suppressing. The fallen angel felt touched and amused by their plea, allowing his left hand to interlock fingers with theirs under the water. He reached and cupped their face with his right hand, gently pulling their face closer.
Alright alright... you win. One for the begging — he sweetly pressed his warm lips against their forehead, making them stop like a deer in headlights. — And another, for treating me very very well.
His lips slowly met theirs, and Zeal reciprocated his touch, melting into his embrace. They slid their left hand up his bicep, as their lips pressed together, the softness of the angel's touch making the monster's heart flutter with joy. But monsters are greedy, and they teased Ash as their lips moved, licking his lip a bit, stealing a taste.
The angel hummed in surprise, but wouldn't be outdone. His tongue slowly parted their lips, meeting theirs. Zealothia's hands were trembling as they caressed his skin, resting at his chest. Ashkariel pulled them closer to him, his left hand on the back of their neck, tangled on their wet hair, his right on the small of their back. The monster allowed themselves to be squeezed tighter, eagerly. Ash reveled in how readily Zeal gave themself to him, his lips brushing against their soft lips, his tongue brushing against their fangs. As their lips part, Zeal feels his breath against their skin.
So, how’s that for a reward? — The angel asks playfully, caressing his worshipper’s nape lovingly with a smirk.
…wow, I-i… I’m…. — The monster was too flustered to speak, their face fully red.
I guess that’s a yes?~ — He chuckled, admiring the flush of his companion’s cheeks.
I mean…. I can never get enough of you, Ash…. You know that~ — Zealothia gave him a cheeky smile, bringing their hands down to his hips.
You’re too greedy, you know that right, Zeal? — he laughed, and planted another kiss on their neck. — I might have to punish you… Kiss you as much as I want….
The monster bit their lip to suppress a gasp, but the amusement was plain on their face, as the god continued to kiss their neck. “Maybe I should misbehave forever…” they thought. The sound of kisses and rippling water filled the room as the night grew late, a monster and a god sharing in each other’s affections to their heart’s content.

Oh nooo I hadn’t noticed that my cat’s automatic feeder was getting low on food so as usual she dashed off when she heard the machine start but I couldn’t hear the usual sound of her food falling into the bowl so I went to look and my poor cat was just. Sitting there. Staring at her empty food bowl. Then for a second she glanced up at me then right back to her bowl with the biggest, saddest, most bewildered eyes you could ever imagine on such a small creature. I filled her bowl and the machine right away ofc but I still feel a little guilty 😭
