ホトケノザ。顔みたいじゃない？

宮島のロープウェイ発着駅までの遊歩道には、この花が沢山咲いていました。帰ってきて調べた所、アセビだそうです。毒のある植物なので、棲んでいる鹿が食べないそうでして、観光用の歩道には適しているのでしょうね。

A kind of flowers were blooming on the promenade to the ropeway station in Miyajima. I examined in book, these are Japanese "asebi". Because it is a poisonous plant, deers living this island does not eat. So it may be suitable plants  for sightseeing roads.

厳島神社の大鳥居を間近で見たら、自然の恵みを頂いていることを強く実感しました。 インターネットで調べた所、これはクスノキだそうです。 

人間の文化を継承していくためには、持続可能な森を残していかなくてはいけません。 When I watched closely the Otorii of Itsukushima Shrine, I realized strong that I received the blessings of nature.  As I checked on the Internet, this is a camphor tree. In order to inherit human culture, we must treasure a sustainable forest.

宮島に行ったとき、ロープウェイに偶々同乗した地元の方によると、白くてツンツンしている枯木が松だと聞きました。もっとも原始的な時代にも生えていたのが、この松。枯れて倒木となったものの上に、高等な樹が育つという原生林の話。

The dead white trees were pine. When I went to Miyajima, I heard that. According to the local who rode on the ropeway,  these pines had grown  in the most primitive times. A story of a native forest where  advanced  trees grow up thanks of dead and fallen trees.

こちらの松は、厳島神社へ向かう道で観た。光が綺麗だった。

狛江の五本松。夕暮れ時で帰りを急いでいたので、5本確認できず。

Five pine trees which are called “Komae no Gohonmatsu.” At the Tama river. I recognised just two, rushed to go back home.

ラクウショウという初めて知る樹。

ヒメガマ？　ヨシ？　マコモ？？ 素人には見分け出来ませんでした。水元公園にて。 Which are common cattails? reeds? 　I can not identify any. A desolate but beautiful wintery scene at Mizumoto park.

メタセコイア なんだろう、あの水の向こうに生えている木々は！ と景色に誘われ辿り着いた、水元公園のメタセコイアの森。 Dawn redwood

アオギリ

日比谷公園を散歩。幹の色もうっすらと青。 a parasol tree I felt color blue, looking at this trunk.

シダレヤナギ 大きな木でした。まな板の材にもなるんだね。 Take a walk under a big willow.

珪化木 日比谷公園を散歩しているうちに発見。そこにあった案内によると「昭和初期、福岡市外亀山炭坑の地下300mのところから長い木のまま発見されたものの一部」とのこと。「北九州の炭田では、炭層中に 珪化木が含まれ、これを松石または松炭と呼ぶ」そうです。長いままの姿も見てみたかった。 Hibiya park, I took a walk and found petrified wood. They are brought from a coal mine in Fukuoka prefecture.These age are Thirty million years to fifty million years old.
