Hello and welcome! I’m Mars/Wombat (any pronouns are fine) and this is a roleplay blog for the character Zelos Wilder from Tales of Symphonia by Bandai Namco! I’d really appreciate it if you could read my rules before interacting with me but here’s a little pinned post to give you some quick details on my blog and quick access to any links!

Canon-divergent and game / manga based. First established December 2015.
Prefers multi-para or novella. Short stuff is welcome but likely to be dropped.

Not duplicate friendly unfortunately due to past experiences. Please don’t follow me if you have Zelos as a muse in any capacity, including on multimuses.
You don’t need to know about Tales of Symphonia to interact with me but I am willing to help guide you if you want to know more! We can work something out and there’s always AUs!
- My ‘main’ verse is very flexible. Though the game is set in a typical sword and sorcery setting, I can very easily adapt to a more modern/urban fantasy sort of thing. Basically, I consider it my main verse if no major character details are changed so I can fit in whatever setting you like!
- A note that I don’t take Dawn of the New World as canon due to heavily disliking how it handled the Symphonia crew but that doesn’t mean I’m not willing to interact with muses from that game! We can do AUs or maybe even having a meeting take place after the worlds are united etc.
Multiship, but selective! Only accepts slow burns. Please see the guidelines linked at the top if you’re interested in shipping romantically.
All triggers are tagged with ‘tw trigger’. To fully make sure you don’t miss a trigger, I recommend looking at the wildcard option in xkits blacklist which you can find more information on under ‘tips’, right above the blacklisted words list.
Please be advised that there is a warning for heavy themes such as racism, genocide, blasphemy/religious themes and especially mental health related triggers, including dealing with suicide/suicidal thoughts and self-harm, all tagged as best I can. My muse is mentally ill and I do not make any attempts to soften as such.

A memory such as this is probably meant to evoke feelings of nostalgia, of warmth, of love and other such things. It is likely that whoever had planted this photo had good intentions. Likely meant to just remind him of what was, that there was a time where he was happy and she was too. A time where things weren't complicated and the hurt that always remained was lesser.
But to believe that, is foolish. Such is the lesson Zelos had learned over and over again. To trust in the goodness of others is to set yourself up for pain. While he had no qualms about putting himself at risk (it happens so often, every day he lives is another risk taken and despite his wants, the risk never is his last), when it comes to his sister however, there is a very thick line drawn in the sand.
He would burn the world to ashes if it meant her safety.
"Hey Seb, did you happen to see who left this photo?"
His butler glanced up from his cleaning.
"I'm afraid not, Master Zelos."
Ready to await orders, Sebastian had put down his duster and had already begun to walk over, coming to a stop at Zelos' side, one arm crossed in front and the other behind his back in typical servant manners.
Zelos remained quiet as he stared at the picture, his expression giving nothing away to hint at the building rage bubbling in his chest.
I want to believe this is simply someone trying to remind me of better days. But there are too many unknowns.
Who was it? Why did they bring this to me?
But most importantly... How did they obtain this?
The Chosen and his baby sister, young and naive to the ways of the world. Yet the times they spent together, short as they were, were always in the seclusion of his home. Whether it be in the garden or within the halls. After all, society would not approve of their beloved Chosen mingling with a child born out of wedlock, who was the daughter of a half-elf that did not know her place and who had seduced the previous Chosen.
Seles was a reminder that the Chosen was not untouchable.
Seles was a weakness to be used against him.
But Zelos, despite his apparent disinterest, would not let them use her.
Seles must remain safe. She must remain happy.
And she must remain as far from him as possible for this to be true.
"What do you wish to do, Master?"
Finally he met the loyal gaze of his butler, the one person he felt he could trust completely (or as completely as someone who suspects everyone could).
"...Find out who it was, obviously. Find them and learn how and why they had this."
The photo was handed over and the butler gave a bow.
"Of course, sire."
As Sebastian wandered off to make arrangements, Zelos turned his attention out the window and onto the street, watching the various nobles going about their day and gossiping among themselves.
Maybe I should pay her a visit. Just to make sure.
The Chosen sighed, a hand running through his hair.
Her disdain is a small price to pay for ensuring she's safe...
Seems he was about to have a busy few days yet again.
