Her mum had always told them not to talk to strangers, but the question, though rather perplexing, seemed harmless, besides, how could someone make friends if they never talked to anyone?
Dakarai looked up from his perch on her shoulders, the fur of his red panda form catching the sun’s rays.
Jenn tilted her head at the blonde lady
“Dakarai? he’s my daemon, of course!”
She answered, as though it was a silly question one would ask in the first place.
as if to prove their point the daemon jumped from his perch, shifting mid-air to take the form of a hummingbird and fluttered around his human’s head
A confused expression fell over the blonde’s face as she stared at
the animal upon the girl’s shoulder. As the child spoke, it was almost
as if the creature upon her shoulder was listening, responding to her
words, in a way.
“A... daemon? I’ve never heard of such a cre-” She cut herself
off, gasping in amazement as this... Dakarai changed from this raccoon
like creature to a tiny hummingbird. “Did he just... change his form?”
Whatever this daemon was, it was certainly magical!
And this little girl... who was she and how on earth did she manage
to get her hands on such a magical creature as this? So many questions
echoed throughout the fairy’s mind, but she was too distracted by the
tiny bird flitting about the other’s head, she couldn’t put them all into
words. Instead, she simply watched, waiting to see if it would change
it’s form once again.
