I seriously need to rant. If you disagree with me, that’s great, good for you, but I don’t need a paragraph response about why I’m a terrible human.

I’m not going to get the vaccine right now. It’s not that I dont believe that COVID is real, and it’s not because I’m trying to be stubborn. I will be stubborn, but here’s why. I do not feel comfortable getting the vaccine so early after the release, especially not on anyone else’s terms.

I totally respect the decision to get vaccinated for COVID. More power to you. But I should not have to be shunned publicly nor kept from living my life just because I’m not going to put a brand new vaccine in my body. The Vaccine makes me a bit scared for my health at the moment.

Here’s a little bit of my reasoning. In the 1950’s and 60’s, Thalidomide was widely used as treatment for nausea during pregnancy. It worked like a dream, and it helped so many women to overcome feeling ill. However it wasn’t until many years later that we discovered Thalidomide was causing severe birth defects in babies, and caused some delayed effects in the women that used the treatment. We can’t truly know the effects the vaccine will have on us yet, and so much more research will be needed, so many more people studied in order for us to know for sure.

I also think it is wrong on so many levels that I am not allowed many places simply because I am not ready. I know it can be hard to go against the majority. Many of my friends and family have been forced to get the vaccine for work, just so they can feed their families. I also know many who have simply been bullied into it. They have been called murderers, and have been told that they are selfish.

I completely understand getting vaccinated. These are scary times. However, I implore you to speak up, and to stand firm in your beliefs, no matter what they are. Being forced into vaccines and masks is just the first small step to the cliff that is losing our freedom.

I am totally open to having a civil discussion about anything I’ve mentioned here, I’d love to hear your side, even if we disagree.

Hi there! I don't know if you're still taking any Tolkien (LOTR/Hobbit) shipping request but if you are, here's a little bit about me:

I'm a 22 year old girl with long straight/wavy blonde hair, very pale skin (I can't even tan), and greenish looking eyes.

I prefer guys who are tall. I'm average height, like 5'5"

I love taking hikes and walks through my local forest and trails. I also love traveling to far and distant places.

I also love singing and dancing. I used to be an Irish dancer, so I've done it semi-professionally.

I love telling stories, both fictional and historical stories. I also love sharing things about my very old and long family tree.

I love being around my family, especially my extended family. Like I would usually spend time or babysit my cousin's small toddler children.

Speaking of children, I adore them to the ends of the earth.

For personality, I tend to be quiet when I'm in large crowds. But when I'm with a small group, I'm pretty talkative. I deeply care about people and I do my best to be a good friend.

I can be super stubborn at times and a bit irritable, but if I have enough space and time - I tend to warm up and let go of my frustrations. If I ever hurt anyone's feelings, I'm super apologetic. I really try my best not to hurt anyone.

I firmly believe that while the fellowship was on the journey to Mordor, Legolas taught them all how to make an elven quality flower crown.

Aragorn’s was purple.

Boromir’s was red with a single yellow rose he found, (he’s quite proud of it)

Gimli protested for about an hour before finally agreeing to sport a simple crown of daisies.

Legolas always goes to his default pink and white crown.

Gandalf somehow found bright blue tulips and made a wreath of them around his hat.

The hobbits all created crowns of every color, flower, and leafy item imaginable, but they are quite tasteful.

And at this moment I am extremely mad that I don’t know how to do any form of art, because I would draw the heck out of the procession of flower crown wearing friends.

I kind of nerded out on flower language stuff so some of that below

Aragorn has crocus flowers, which mean hope after darkness.

Boromir's yellow rose symbolizes betrayal, while the red poppies represent sacrifice. I dont know whether OP knew what the rose can mean and wrote about it on purpose, but either way it lines up perfectly with his character.

Frodo has dandelions, which represent overcoming hardship, lily of the valley, which represents trust, and a few other random flowers added because they looked pretty. He also has a green carnation which, according to oscarwildetours.com, "hints at homosexuality"

Pippin has baby's breath flowers which mean pure of heart, and shamrock, which means luck, though whether his is good or bad is up to you.

Sam has sunflowers because they mean loyalty.
