*PS sorry I was gone for so long
I am in a sad mood. I have decided to torture you guys, too! 🫶 (don’t worry, it’s a happy ending)
Drst angst of Chrome! Our ray of sunshine! So, we all know, during the Stone War arc, when everyone was fighting for the revival fluid. Imagine if, after they conclude the fight, someone from the village were hurt a lot. And it was Reader. The context would be kind of like the Chrome Ruri situation (Chrome would love Reader, but not fully realize it.)
“We did it! We can begin progress in the Tsukasa empire!” Chrome gleamed.
“That’s correct.” Gen let out a sigh of relief, leaning against the cave wall as everyone began to calm down.
“Don’t start celebrating yet. We need to treat the injured.” Senku stretched, making his way towards Ukyo, who was wobbling from blood loss.
“That would be preferable.” Ukyo let out a breath he didn’t know he was holding. Tsukasa made his way over and supported Ukyo, and Senku began checking his injuries. Luckily, they weren’t detrimental.
The actual damage was limited. Other than Ukyo, most had only cuts or scrapes. Tsukasa Empire citizens had already begun work disarming the anti-vehicle traps so that no one could fall in and get hurt. Though one face seemed to be missing.
“Where is [Reader]?” Chrome reviewed the landscape, double-checking faces. She wasn’t amongst the crowd. Neither was Kohaku. But then he heard Kohaku’s strong voice ring out from the foliage.
“I am going to need some help over here!”
His heart dropped. Kohaku, carrying a bloodied limp [Reader] in her arms. He rushed over, and so did Senku. Though Senku was clearly more composed than the panicked Chrome.
“What happened?” Senku was the first to respond.
Chrome was still panicking with worry. His eyes rushed over her. A million questions running through his mind. Why was she bleeding so much? Where was she bleeding? How could he stop it? Why was she so pale? The smell of iron was strong; this was bad.
“She got stabbed! In the abdomen!” Kohaku quickly set her stable on the ground. Senku knelt carefully. Quick calculations running through his mind. Chrome dropped beside him.
“What can I do?!”
“Get me bandages, the powder we used when Kinro was stabbed, and Yuzuriha.”
The rest went in a blur. Chrome barely remembered what happened. His mind still felt blurry. Now he sat by her bedside. Senku said she might wake up soon and that the wound had not hit anything vital. Even with the assurance of science, worry still plagued him. They stayed in one of the caves of the Tsukasa Empire, surprisingly comfortable. Though he still would have preferred to be in the familiar huts of Ishigami village. It was warmer there. He pulled the blanket more over her. [Reader] looked as if she were just sleeping. As if it were another night, when he sat up and watched her sleep in the moonlight. That always calmed his mind, which was usually kept up by ideas. If only that were the situation right now. It was quiet except for the few sounds the forest made. The brushing of trees in the wind, or the chirp of crickets making their nightly commute just to disappear the next morning. He looked out at the calm night, despite the usual soothing, it did nothing to calm his nerves. That was until he heard her stir.
“[Reader]!” He quickly looked back. She had sat up, groggily rubbing one of her eyes.
“Hm?” He scooted closer at a fast pace, and immediately, he hugged her close. Though surprisingly gentle as not to hurt her injury.
“I-I really thought I lost you there.” His voice wavered as his body shook slightly with silent tears. He hid his face in her shoulder.
“Chrome, it’s alright. I am okay.” She soothed him, patting his back.
He retracted, though not fully. Still keeping her in an embrace, but this time letting her see his face. It was slightly stained by tears and was trying to look upset, though it looked more worried than actually angry.
“But it's not alright! You really scared me!” He then returned to the full embrace. The rest of the night, he refused to release.
“Chrome, I am not dying anymore, you can let go if you want.”
“No.” He pouted, shutting his eyes.
She sighed.
“Then let's get comfortable.”
“Fine.” He peeped one eye open as she lay down and tucked him under the blanket too, holding him close. The exhaustion of staying up late after the battle finally caught up almost instantaneously as he passed out asleep next to her. Still clinging, of course. She didn’t mind.
Time for the promised Sai fic. I know I already did one, so I will be writing a kind of part two for that one <3
WHERE SAI FINALLY CONFESSES! Obviously, this took FOREVER! They both had graduated, and both worked as university teachers together. I would think everyone saw this coming, though it took literal YEARS with how shy Sai is. LETS GOOOO!
-Sorry if it’s kind of short
Sai paced back and forth in the hallway. It was late afternoon, bordering on evening with the setting sun. Come on, he had rehearsed over and over again. There was no backing out. Practice made perfect, so why was he so nervous? God, nothing felt right. He knew he would never be fully prepared, but he had to eventually. He could no longer just be her really close friend. For the first time in his life, he desired more, and unlike previous times, his heart wouldn’t allow him to settle. Warm orange rays streamed from the horizon, through the window, to the hallway outside the library where he paced. She would be here any minute, the girl who had somehow programmed his heart to race every time she smiled. [Reader]. His shining light. The only one who somehow seemed better than being alone with his laptop. The exception to his usual solitude. Though he could no longer classify his “usual” as being alone. Ever since she had come into his life, he had never felt alone. Everything reminded him of her, in a good way. Like a flower in bloom or a program functioning without a syntax error on the first try. And she would cheer on these accomplishments like they were big, like he mattered. How did it get to this point?
When he had first met her, he had assumed she wouldn’t even help him with their group project. Let alone talk to him.
“Hey! You must be Sai Nanami! I am [Reader]! Your study partner!” She smiled warmly, holding out her hand for a shake. It had been a hot afternoon, yet she had jogged up to him with excitement.
“O-Oh yeah, that's me.” She was very pretty. Especially that smile. That smile that had made his heart race since the beginning. So warm and exciting as if joy had become a person.
Ever since that day, she had become a permanent fixture in his everyday. Remembering things about him he had supposed didn’t matter. Taking care of him even when he thought himself useless. Assuring him with compliments that he had never thought would be directed at him. She had changed him. For the better. Even though he didn’t ask for it, even though he never wanted it. But now, he had this new ember in his heart that he could no longer smother because of her attentiveness that kindled it. Now, it consumed his heart. It made his heart race with her simplest actions. From handing him food to brushing hair out of his face. It made him feel warm and comforted with only a need for her presence. He had always wanted her, but now he felt like he needed her.
“You called for me?”
He looked up from his thoughts, stopping his pacing, and turned around. [Reader] stood with that same warm smile she had presented on the first day they ever met; now though, it had not just beauty but comfort that warmed his soul.
“Y-Yeah.” He twiddled his thumbs, struggling to make eye contact. His voice wavered.
“Do you need anything?” She tilted her head, still maintaining that smile, now with a teasing glint. Despite being 3 feet apart, he felt as if it were centimeters. Hopefully, she couldn't feel the heat radiating from his blush or hear his heart pounding in his chest.
“I-I need to tell you something!” He braced himself. There was no going back now.
“I like you! As more than just friends! And I want to be more!” A moment of silence stretched after his confession. He thought it would feel nerve-racking; yet it felt comforting, like a pressure releasing from his chest. But the nerves quickly returned.
“W-Well, that's it! That's what I wanted to say, and it's okay if you don’t want to! I just love you, and I want to be close, but if you don’t want to, we can stay friends and-” He did his usual quick hand motions, still quite flushed. But when he finally met her eyes, his sentence drowned in his throat. She was so beautiful in the sunset, warm rays dancing across her skin. She didn’t look shocked nor upset nor anything negative. In fact, she looked happy. Tears formed in her eyes.
“A-Are you okay?!” He was about to walk over, but instead she hugged him, burying her face in his neck. The happy tears warmed his skin.
“I accept. It took you long enough.” He could practically feel her smile against him. Hesitantly, his arms finally wrapped around her waist, hugging her back tightly, pent-up longing finally expressing itself. He was sure now, this was it. This was heaven. Only if he could bottle this feeling into lasting forever. This weightless happiness made all his worries, fears, problems, and pressure dissipate.
Next Fic is Tsukasa! Don’t worry, I will be doing another Sai fic as well! But first Tsukasa, since I had not done him yet! It took a while for me to come up with a ship idea. I just don’t know a lot about his character. But I think I finally got a good one! We all know Tsukasa is like a knight, think about it. Strong, tall, and stoic. And every knight needs their princess! Though he had already said he doesn’t really like rich people, or at least people who abuse their wealth. So imagine if he had a lover who gave off girly girl vibes but was also super rich in the old world! But instead of using their wealth to be greedy, they mainly donated it to the hospital where Mirai was cared for. Even better if they had funded Mirai’s care before Tsukasa became famous! See the vision? A super energetic girl who is spoiled but not spoiled rotten! Think of Charlotte! (The girl who always wore pink from The Princess and the Frog, who was super nice!!)
This will be set in the stone world, but the context is reader spent her time with Tsukasa even before then. Mainly cheering him on and funding anything he needed! (I think I cooked with this ship idea.)
“Hey Tsuki!” [Reader] jumped into Tsukasa’s arms.
It was late into the night, yet her energy still prevailed. The moonlight shone across her features. She still shone like a ray of sunlight even on the calm beach. Tsukasa balanced himself with ease, using the momentum to spin around with her in his arms a couple of times before holding her close. Cool sand cushioning his feet.
“[Reader],” He smiled softly, his voice affectionate. The stone really had no effect on her except for new revival marks; other than that, she had not changed since he last saw her. Still the happy smile, still the radiance, still the same relaxing warmth that melted his heart. She wrapped her arms around his neck as he carried her bridal style, satisfied to be back in her Tsuki’s arms.
“Did you grow taller since I was stone? That’s cheating, Tsuki! How am I ever to catch up?” She teased, pinching his cheek gently. Her “scolding” was obviously unserious with how much she was giggling. Filling up the sound space where the cool ocean waves once loomed. [Reader] was the only person who had been revived and was not even slightly intimidated by Tsukasa’s physique nor his stoic calm. Hell, when she had been revived, the first thing she did was tease him.
“We both knew you weren't catching up [Reader].” She was also the only one who could get him to join in on the teasing.
“Hey!” She pouted, though clearly not actually upset, since she was barely maintaining the expression with a smile breaking through.
It reminded him of when they were little. He remembered when they first met, like it was yesterday, he had felt so small and weak back then.
Tsukasa sniffled at his sister's bedside, crushed shells forming a pile on her bedside table. What was he going to do? His entire body still felt sore and bruised from his last fight, but he had to keep going. He was improving, but it wasn't good enough. It was quiet in the room, only the beep of the monitor filled the void of silence. The only sign that little Mirai was still alive. That she was still there, even if the doctors told him she would never wake up. His dismal thoughts were interrupted though.
“Hey!” He looked up to see a girl around his age, she wore a pink dress practically dripping in jewels.
“What’s wrong?” She tilted her head. He stared up at her, still kneeling by his sister’s bedside, tears still staining his cheeks. Who was this? Why were they here?!
“What do you mean, what's wrong!! My little sister is in the hospital, and I can’t do anything to wake her up! Leave me alone!” He lashed out and then buried his face back into his hands. Scrunching blankets in his fists as he leaned into the bed’s side, tears dotting parts of the mattress.
Anyone else would have gotten the hint, anyone else would have apologized and left in a hurry. She instead sat down right beside him, and stayed. She let him cry, didn’t comment on it, didn’t comfort him with useless words of empathy, but she stayed kneeling next to him by his sister’s bedside. Eventually, his tears ran out. He didn’t have anything left; he was exhausted.
“Why are you still here?” His words were shaky, still disturbed by sniffles.
“You shouldn’t be alone. That’s why.” She sounded so sure, like it was a simple, undeniable fact. Surprisingly certain for a 9-year-old.
A long time stretched in this silence. Her presence was somehow soothing. A break from suffocation. Later, they left the hospital room. Her father had no clue where she had been and ran up to her, but she simply sat down and refused to go to any business party until he promised to pay for Mirai’s daily care. After that day, she had stayed with Tsukasa nearly 24/7, taking care of him and his sister. Keeping that same smile, he still admired.
“Heyyyy Tsukiiiiii your zoning out!”
He blinked, returning to the present.
“Apoligies.”
“It’s okay!” She smiled warmly again, pressing a soft kiss to his cheek.
“Also, I have a gift! Close your eyes!” He complied easily. He felt her brush something into his hair. He touched it tentatively, a pink flower. His eyes opened.
“You're so pretty, I thought you might enjoy an accessory!”
“I love it,” he returned with a kiss to her forehead.
“Awesome!” Her smile somehow brightened. Filling the cool night air with her warm presence, she was truly a ray of sunshine.
“Now it’s time to go to bed! It’s late, and a leader like you needs their rest!”
“Of course. And I suppose you want me to carry you the whole way?”
“Yes!”
“Then I have no choice but to oblige.” He carried her, taking quiet footsteps through the sand back towards the forest leading to camp. It wasn’t long until she fell asleep, comfortable and cozy in his arms.
Time for a Joel Gear fic! I was trying to come up with ideas of characters I haven’t done yet, and Joel came up in my mind. He is so shy and such a cutie patootie, even when he tries to act tough! I imagine if he ever found a partner, it would have to be someone very soft as well. The reason I think he would need someone gentle is that he gets so shy around girls, and he would need someone who could be gentle with him. Let’s be honest, he would definitely need someone to be a nice middleman when he is acting rude to guys, too. NOW TIME FOR THE FIC! >:D
A gentle reader who is in an official unofficial relationship with Joel. Because Joel is completely denying his emotions while Reader is just nonchalantly saying they're in a relationship and treating it as such. We're talking wifie behavior, affection, and all!!!
JUST IMAGINE!
-This fic will be going over Joel denying his feelings and eventually coming around to them! Just imagine him being all shy and confessing only for reader to be like
“Weren’t we already dating???”
-Set after the second petrification, and everything has finally been chilling down with no enemies except Why-Man
“So, how long have you two been together?”
“What are you talking about?” Joel glared at Yo. They both had been attempting to twindle copper wire around their “donuts,” though one had been more successful.
“Y’know you and [reader].”
Joel choked, nearly fumbling the delicate equipment.
“WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT! I AM IN NO SUCH RELATIONSHIP!” He was accustomed to his usual flush. Completely panicking now.
“Bro, chill out, I was only asking. Plus, you two are in a relationship. Aren’t you? I thought you two had been married.” He picked at his donut, fumbling with his equipment.
“NO WAY! I AM NOT MARRIED!”
Yo tilted his head.
“Then why does she make you meals and take care of you and sleep next to you?”
“THAT’S NORMAL STUFF! NOW GET BACK TO YOUR WORK!”
Yo mumbled something but did return to his donut. Now that Joel thought about it, they were especially close.
“Joel, I made you some dinner.” [Reader] walked over; her footsteps light, even against the medal.
“You should eat, I’d hate to see you prioritize work over your own health.” She wrapped her arms around him, setting a bowl beside his work. Warm, very warm, and very close.
“O-Oh, thank you.”
“Let’s eat together! Come on!” [Reader] smiled sweetly, directing Joel to a proper eating area.
Now that Joel thought about it, they were especially close.
“Relax, why are you so stiff?” She soothed his hair, holding him close. It was early morning, sunlight filtering through the windows. He was snuggled close, his face buried in her chest. Where he had stayed cozy all night.
“I am just tired.” In truth, his thoughts were racing. Were they really that close to one another to appear that they were married? All he could remember was being shy around her ever since the beginning, when she first started as his assistant.
“You’re flushing again, darling.” She cooed.
“Hmmm.” Were they close?
“Dear, you’re so tense.” She massaged his back. It was steamy in the bath. Her knuckles soothed his shoulders in a circular motion.
“Just relax.”
“Hmm.” Maybe they were close. They bathed together, ate together, and slept beside each other. Maybe they were close.
“I can hear your heart pounding through your chest. What’s wrong?”
“N-Nothing!”
[Reader] tilted her head, water droplets glittering across her skin.
“Oh?”
Joel choked up. It was hot enough in the steam; now his heart was pumping blood to his cheeks.
“You’re so jumpy right now.” She soothed.
Okay, maybe they were more than just close.
What fic should I do next?

Time for PART 3 OF GEN FIC!!! >:D
Gen sat there, dumbfounded
“W-What are you asking me, Ishigami?”
“You are going to confess your feelings or whatever. All lovey dovey and such. Tomorrow.” Senku was as calm as usual, more inconvenienced than upset.
“WHAT DO YOU MEAN THAT’S AZY-CRAY! SHE DOESN’T EVEN LIKE ME BACK!” Gen quickly sat up, fully alert, horrified by what Senku was implying.
“Stop yelling, mentalist, just use your charm if you're so worried. Plus, even if she rejects you, then you can get over this nonsense.” Senku simply tilted his head left, picking his ear in his usual fashion; completely calm despite Gen’s obvious panic.
“You don’t understand! She has no care for my charm! You know how she is!” Gen turned back around, returning to a childish pout which masked his panic.
“If you don’t, I will.”
“You. Wouldn’t. Dare.”
Senku smirked.
“You think I won’t?”
Gen turned his head slightly. Glimpsing Senku’s unbothered expression from the corner of his eye. The scientist’s honesty was worrying.
“You have until tomorrow at noon.” Senku stood up.
“Then it will either be me informing her of your crush or yourself.” He made his way outside the observatory, leaving Gen to himself. The comforting warmth of the light filtering through the observatory window now felt suffocating, or maybe it was just the internal panic. Oh God, what was he going to do?
Meanwhile, Senku was already forming a plan. Making his way towards Nikki and Minami.
The next morning, he had not slept well, for obvious reasons. Gen sat up. He was still wearing the shirt she had gifted him. It wasn’t a dream. This was it. He couldn’t slither or sneak his way out of this. Senku was going to tell her! Or he would have to. He couldn’t quite decide which was more dreadful. A cool breeze tickled the back of his neck, still early morning, it seemed. If it were anyone else, it would be easy. If this were any other lady or even a man, he would easily stride up to them and seduce them. Easy. But with her. It was different. Not only could he never decipher her mask, but she never had any reactions, no matter the ploy. In fact, every attempt had the inverse effect. No matter if it were a simple pick-up line or a slight brush, he felt his own heart race. And [Reader]... Would show no reaction. No slight blush, nor coy smile. No interest. Complete stoicism. It hurt every time. It would have been better if she looked at least annoyed. If she acknowledged his existence as more than just anyone else. If she treated him like more than an acquaintance. Why did he have to fall for the one person who didn’t like him? Now he was facing the consequences of his stupid heart’s decision.
“You good man?” Chrome peered over the edge of the ladder to the observatory. He had only gone up to look through the telescope at the village, only to find the mentalist looking dejected. The rosy facade slipped back on like second nature.
“Of course I am! Do you need help with something?”
“No, nothing.” He noticed the switch-up, but it was likely that Gen didn’t want to talk about it. And he wouldn’t push it.
The hours ticked by painfully slow yet terrifyingly fast. He had breakfast, gotten changed, and even freshened up with a river bath. Senku wasn’t assigning him any tasks. It was nerve-wracking. He had nothing to keep his mind off the confession except the ticking seconds. Quite torturous. Everyone had noticed his pacing but decided not to mention anything. He rehearsed in a grassy field, imagining possibilities of the confession, yet no matter what he did, he imagined only one reaction from her. Dead silence. No positives nor negatives, only an empty void. Why couldn’t he spare himself even in his imagination? No matter what he did or how he acted, he could only see her reaction as indifference. This was bad.
Before he knew it, the sun was overhead. WHAT WAS HE GOING TO DO?! He rushed through camp searching for her. WHY WAS HE PUTTING HIMSELF THROUGH THIS?! Even if he saw her, he had no true plan. Not even a rough sketch! He was being so stupid! He shouldn’t have gone through with this at all! Why didn’t he just isolate Senku from approaching her?! Or maybe isolate himself from her when he caught these stupid feelings! Hell, he could just wait until Senku told her and completely deny Senku’s claims! All three would be easier than what he was doing right now! But he knew why. He knew why all other options except confession felt impossible. This was the first time he had ever caught true feelings for another. Not just lust nor a supplement to prevent loneliness, but true love. A happiness just formed through proximity. Without even the need for touch nor discussion. But.. If he confessed… It might ruin it all. What if she left? Left him when he was so vulnerable? Because she didn’t like him. And she never would. Yet, despite these dim thoughts that seemed real, the second he saw her, his heart pounded with joy. Though the second jump in his heart rate came when he spotted Senku already talking to her.
“W-Wait!” He quickly rushed over, already slightly disheveled from his sprint around camp. Gen jumped between the two, though he faced Senku.
“Don’t! I am here!”
“I can see that mentalist.”
“You didn’t tell her, right?” Gen stood up, clearing his throat and adjusting his collar. Attempting to appear more composed than he internally was.
“Nope, only told her not to panic. You shouldn’t either.”
“P-Panic over what?”
Senku tilted his head.
“Over what I am about to do.”
Before Gen could question what Senku was about to do, he called out.
“Nikki!”
Then Gen and [Reader] were shoved into a tight closet, which was locked from the outside.
“W-What do you think you are doing?! Guys! Come on now!”
There was no reply except for the footsteps of them walking away.
Oh my god, he was so close. The closet was in a shadowy area. But despite this shade, her body felt overheated. That was more of her own fault than the weather’s, though. Gen looked adorable, all squirmy and so close.
“Be careful.” She held his waist, steadying him as he wobbled.
What was he going to do?! She was so close, and there was nowhere else to go or look! The wood rubbed against his hands as he desperately tried to touch anywhere but her. [Reader] was as calm as usual. Even as he couldn’t hold himself up anymore and fell onto her, practically pinning her to the closet wall.
“Are you alright?”
“O-Of course! Just fine!” Gen was not fine. The opposite, actually. His heart might burst out of his chest.
“What do you have to tell me?”
He looked up from his panic. OH SHE WAS CLOSE! A droplet of sweat slid down his jaw, congregating at his chin. Why did she have to be so close? He was most definitely going to demand Cola from Senku after this stunt.
“I.. I.. Well..” She was so hot, looking up at him. Just as overheated as he was.
“I love you!” He closed his eyes, bracing himself.
[Reader] froze. He looked so cute, all flustered with his eyes closed. So, that was the emotion she had been feeling for months. Love. Gen, he should know by now not to leave himself so tempting so close to her. Her hands slid across his jaw, cupping his face. Then, before he could react, she leaned in, her lips pressing against his.
Senku returned 2 hours later to unlock the closet. Minami accompanied him. Nikki had been too nervous for [Reader] to come along.
“What do you think happened?”
“I think our local mentalist confessed his feelings.”
“We both know [Reader] accepted them then.”
“10 billion points.” The closet was surprisingly quiet. Senku slid out the bar that had locked the handles. Immediately, the doors burst open. Both tumbling out. [Reader] was the first to recover, standing up in her usual calm.
“Oh, you're back.”
Gen’s appearance was more jaw-dropping. His shirt was half undone, and free space on his skin was taken up with not only hickeys but even bite marks. The culprit was obvious.
“Asagiri, let me take care of that for you.” She pulled the flushed and dazed mentalist close, helping retie his shirt.
“[Reader] Already?!” Minami looked unsurprised but still slightly scandalized.
“Oh, I just remembered that Asagiri has important business with me that must be attended to right now, don’t we?” She pretended to close her eyes as if she were remembering something distant; she was not a good actor.
Gen quickly understood the assignment, though with surprising enthusiasm. Probably because he had quite the reward at stake.
“YES!”
Before Senku or Minami could ask about this “business,” both lovers had already scurried off into the woods.

:0 dr stone fanfics in this economy? IM WINNING!!! im not super sure if you do headcannons or not but it have a silly idea if you do :P
what about sai/senku/Stanley and/or anyone else you want (Yay for free will) when you revive your parents after the world is back up and running and you go 'oh BTW im engaged now this is my partner' (❍ᴥ❍ʋ)... because they dont understand you spent so much time together pre reviving the world you have to explain this isnt some over night decision
im always here for chaos and your writing is pretty yummy so I thought id request you X3
I did it
I have never done headcanons, so please forgive me if I am doing them wrong! Anyway, I will be doing as requested (how would reader parents react to finding their child engaged while they were petrified) with Senku, Sai, and Stanley. Thanks for the idea, I love the concept! >:D
Senku
>I am sorry, but this man will scare your parents when they first hear of your engagement. He looks insane! White hair with green tips standing up on his head with a full scientist get-up! No way their child is marrying this guy!
>It only gets worse after they hear about his previous activities.
“WHAT DO YOU MEAN HE GOT A DIVORCE BEFORE?!” Your mother would look absolutely horrified.
>I do imagine the first weeks would be hell. Your parents would be trying desperately to persuade you out of it, while Senku is indifferent and just stating the plain facts (and we know he would rage bait)
>Eventually, I think your parents would watch the chemistry (yes, that was a pun) and understand they couldn’t persuade you out of it.
>I still don’t think they would accept it, though, until they see he does actually care about you and he isn’t a bad guy.
>They might even be happy after they see you chose a brilliant man like Senku.
It’s just going to take a while.
Sai
>Okay, Sai seems like a more normal person, so I doubt they would freak out immediately.
>He would be nervous, stuttering, and stammering while fiddling with his fingers during the introduction.
>I feel your parents would just be skeptical at first
“You sure this guy is the one?”
Your father studied the man standing before him. Sai looked like he was going through multiple heart attacks.
“DAD! I made my decision.”
>It would probably take a while to win your parents over. But after seeing you genuinely happy with Sai (and him not looking like a nervous wreck with you around), they would allow the relationship.
>They would be happy you found someone who makes you happy and can take care of you. Plus, he is a programmer and a world-renowned mathematician! That’s a smart thing, ain’t it? (And he just so happens to be related to a rich conglomerate that could take care of you)
Stanley
>Oh my god, where do I even begin?
>Your parents will most definitely freak out. It could even go worse than Senku’s intro.
>Imagine, your parents open their eyes out of the stone and find you have been engaged to some nicotine-addicted, tall guy who is a shooter and wears purple lipstick.
>And let's be real. His history is NOT helping.
“What do you mean he shot at people and killed multiple of them?!” Your mother’s tone was horrified.
“Mom, please, I promise he is a better person!”
“YOU'RE NOT DENYING IT?!”
>At least, Stanley has his southern hospitality going for him.
>I imagine he wouldn’t marry you unless he got your parents' permission.
>He has at least some things going for him, like being a soldier, which has to get him some marriage points!
>Eventually, your parents will accept the engagement after seeing how much Stanley cares for and protects you, but it will definitely be a while. I doubt they will trust him for a year or two.
Time for Part two of my crack fic >:) !!!!
It was still late into the night. Moonlight filtered through the window. Here she lay, Stanley smothering her from behind. [Reader] had struggled for a while but had given up after the first 3 hours; Stanley had shown no intention of ever letting go. Even as Xeno had attempted to question her, though Xeno had eventually given in and allowed Stanley to carry her to bed.
“You're still sniffling.” She rolled her eyes. It had been 15 minutes since lying down, and obviously, Stanley was not going to loosen his snuggle.
“You're really back.” He mumbled into her neck.
“Yeah, you mentioned that. About 50 times, actually.”
He still couldn’t believe she was really here, his heart still might burst from relief and gratitude. She felt comforting back in his arms; he would fall asleep if he weren’t so worried she might disappear if he closed his eyes for too long. The bed was comfortable; the blanket lay light ontop of the two. Despite its light thinness, she was plenty warm with Stanley so close. Now that there weren’t any distractions, she did notice a few more slight changes that had happened while she was gone. For example, his hands had grown much rougher, and despite a slender appearance, his muscles were denser.
“I don't understand why you're being so clingy.” She scoffed. But despite this obvious dislike, Stanley didn’t even flinch, let alone care about her animosity.
“Because I love you, and I won’t be letting you go again.” He stated it as if it were an undeniable fact. With such certainty, she had never heard from him before. She wanted to believe him. To turn right around and hug him back and cry. It made her heart ache. How could he say such things after what he had done? After he left.
“Yeah, sure.”
He snuggled deeper into her neck, her familiar scent engulfing him with a sense of home.
“Can you snuggle me back, pleaseeee, baby? I missed you so much.” Her eye twitched. Though very tempting, how could he ask such things after everything he had done?
“No way.”
“Come on,” He pleaded, letting out a teasing breath, prickling the skin of her neck.
“Wow! I wonder why! Maybe it’s because you shot at my friends when we first arrived, or maybe because you kidnapped Gen, or could it possibly be the fact that you walked away as I got the blow torch treatment!”
He finally looked up from her neck, both surprised and confused.
“What?”
“You heard me! You-”
“I didn’t turn away.”
[Reader] stared at him blankly. He looked so genuine.
“What?”
“I was behind you. I saw you get scorched in front of me.”
They both stared at each other for a long while. Now that she recalled it, a lot had been going on, and being burned alive was quite distracting. She could believe that she might have been wrong.
“Stanley,” She cupped his face.
“Look me dead in the eyes and tell me you were actually behind me.”
He smiled warmly, letting out a soft chuckle.
“I would never turn my back on you.” She studied deep into his eyes. Despite his warm smile of relief at her return, he still had this deep look of sorrowful longing.
“I believe you. Sorry, I got mixed up, and I should have just talked with you.”
“Then hug me now.”
She sighed but practically leaped into his arms, finally hugging him back. Tears ran silently down her cheeks. Stanley ended up hugging [reader] all night. Without sleeping even a wink. Though she had fallen asleep for maybe 4 hours. He didn’t dare wake her. Other soldiers understood the memo and took precautions to be extra quiet and not disturb his quarters. But eventually [Reader] did awaken again and realized he hadn’t denied shooting at her friends nor kidnapping.
-Thanks again please enjoy this part 2! specifically to: nvmthebollocks04 and hellobios
(Thank god I was working on this before I saw the comments so I finished it up faster)
This is probably a crack idea for a Dr. Stone fic, especially in the dramatic angst, but let me cook. So, we all know the petrification can revive anyone as long as their tissue has been preserved, even if they are dead. We also know this revival can heal any wounds (including scars). Corpses can also be preserved in special muds especially if their flash heated. Now comes the crazy angst. Stanley probably made friends in the military, and also likely lost a few. Specifically in foreign lands on missions. Now imagine, Stanley watched his dear lover and friend reader, literally get set fully on fire, shot multiple times, and then get sunk in mud and chars. Let's say, in Japan. Her body was never retrieved, but the trauma of seeing someone so close to him literally burn alive infront of him while trying to gasp for air as they drowned in mud “slightly” scarred him for life (I imagine he is NEVER going to get over it.) So sad. Let's make it worse! Imagine if Reader had thought Stanley had betrayed them! Due to a misconception of angles or something of the nature. Now 3700 years later, she infiltrated the factory to rescue Gen and runs into Stanley.
Stanley walked through the medal corridors; it was a fall late night. As usual he hadn’t been able to sleep. Nothing a cigarette couldn’t fix. His footsteps were quiet, he wasn’t wearing his usual heavy boots, instead a lighter, quieter version made of leather instead of metal. Smoke drifted from the tip of a cigarette, a light orange and red glow emitting with the passage of air. He would have to make his way outside. He didn't want Xeno scolding him now, did he? That’s when he saw a figure in the darkness of the night, and then he froze. Moonlight through a window illuminated the woman who had been haunting his dreams in screams of pain. She stood in the hallway. [Reader] looked just as he had remembered, before that incident. Before everything went to shit. What was wrong with his head right now? Usually, his mind never ever saw her so vividly. It was as if she were actually standing there. But that wasn’t possible, and it sadly never would be. But his heart still raced, and his mind still paused. Looking at his lover.
[Reader] stared back. He looked older, but she could still recognize him. He must be around 26 now; she was still 23. He was taller, more slender, but still well built. His lips had turned purple from chain-smoking. It was one of the habits she discouraged. It seemed he never quit it, even after her death. That was to be expected. He left her; she saw it. He had turned away when she caught fire. Now here he was, facing her again. Oh, how stupid she felt, loving a man with all her heart, just for him to turn away when she was set on fire.
“[reader]?” His voice wavered. He knew it wasn’t possible. But who cared? He didn’t mind talking to an illusion if he could pretend she was really back for a few seconds.
“Oh wow! If it isn’t my old pal Stan!” She plastered on a fake smile.
He took a few steps forward, keeping his eyes open to make sure she wouldn’t disappear.
“[Reader],”
“Yep! It’s me! I know you know me.” She sneared.
“I missed you,” his words were soft.
“Oh? You did now?”
Usually the hallucinations didn't respond. This version seemed upset at him, that was a first.
That's when he noticed her petrification marks, and his heart stopped. She had the marks; she had marks of revival. She was revived from the stone. This wasn’t an illusion. The world froze, suddenly it was just the two of them. His heart felt like it might burst through his chest, his breathing quickening, then tears formed at the corner of his eyes. Before she could react, he literally tackled her to the ground in an embrace.
“W-What the hell are you doing?!” She attempted to shove him off, even pounding her fists on his back.
It didn’t even register. He began sobbing full-on into her shoulder. His cigarette lay discarded, put out on the floor. Oh my god, she was here. She was really here. His heart wrenched as he clung to her, burying his face into her neck. It felt so familiar, her scent had even stayed the same. The cold floor did not deter him. He cradled her close. “I thought you were gone, I thought I would never see you again,” were the words he wanted to say, but he couldn’t get them out of his throat between crying. She was truly returned into his arms. Whatever god allowed this miracle, he didn't care which, it had his life.
The first to arrive at the commotion was Xeno. Despite his scheduled sleep, he had recognized the sobbing as Stanley, which was worryingly unusual, so he had rushed down first. He was accompanied by Charlotte who had joined him with haste. They stumbled upon a scene of Stanley clinging to [Reader] as she tried to shove the sobbing man off to no avail. Charlotte had never seen [Reader] before nor witnessed Stanley so distraught. Meanwhile, Xeno had recognized her from photographs Stanley had shown him in the old world and was visibly perplexed. The next was Maya, who popped in carrying Gen like a potato sack.
“[Reader]?!” Gen looked horrified. First, the fact that she was here and not at the base. Secondly, that she was being hugged to death by Xeno’s number one soldier.
“Oh? You know who this lady is then?” Maya tilted her head at their captive, curiousity over coming her usual.
After a few minutes, Stanley finally regained slightly more composure. At least, compared to before. Though he still refused to release her. He lifted her up bridal style, even as she struggled. He was stronger than she remembered.
“Release me!”
“No. I refuse.”
“Come along, we have much to discuss with this new development. Everyone else is dismissed.” Xeno beckoned Stanley to follow, which he complied with. Gen stared worryingly as she disappeared past the metal doors with the evil scientist and the soldier. Did she have a history with Stanley?
So after fulfilling those requests, I am back to trying to do fics on all Dr. Stone characters! So, it’s time for the Mc, specifically Senku! I bet Senku would be in full denial even if he showed every possible sign of love. I swear he would most definitely be looking at the reader with the most adoring look, and one person would comment on it, and he would say something like “10 billion percent no way.” It’s kind of like that one audio from Gumball where Darwin asks why does Gumball have hearts in his eyes, and he says it's just allergies 😭. Now imagine Senku’s realization. It’s just some quiet night of star gazing with reader, then he turns his head and sees her looking up at the constellations, smiling, and all his emotions just flood out. I think it would be so adorable and funny just to see Senku yapping about the science of the cosmos, just to turn his head and become speechless at a beautiful girl. Then, in his head, he is just like, " Oh, crap.” Remember, this is like months of buildup, too.
The cool night air breezed past the two as they lay in the grassy field of the forest. The stars glittered overhead in beautiful formations.
“That’s the milky way, since we live more center to it’s mass we get to observe the tips of it despite being located in it.” Senku pointed upwards to a particularly shiny area.
“We live on the Orion arm of the Milky Way. It’s similar to a disk and we so happen to live on one of its tentacles.” Trees’ branches blew overhead, creating a harmonious frame around this glowing presentation.
“How intriguing, and how does it shine so brightly?”
“It’s a concentration of billions of stars that creates a bright highlight effect that appears especially in the darkness of night.” He lazed back, positioning his arm back behind his head as a cushion.
“You’re quite the genius, y’know that Ishigami? I mean, if you weren’t here, I am 10 billion percent sure humanity would be impossible to revive.”
“Oh come on, I am not..” He turned his head only for his words to get caught in his throat.
She stared up at the stars, their beautiful blue illuminating her warm smile. Admiration shown in her eyes, not only at the constellation's glamour but at his intelligence. He was awestruck. She looked happy and also something else.
“Don’t try to deny it, Senku.” Her voice was soft yet assured, as if these words were second nature.
“You are truly one of a kind.”
Oh god, his heart was racing abnormally fast. He could also sense blood rushing to his face, specifically his cheeks. Was he ill? No, these were different symptoms from when he was infected. This was something else, something new. She finally turned her head towards him, the admiration specifically concentrated towards him in a smile he would never be able to describe through observation.
“You are a genius; you should be more proud of that fact. You are logical, yet kind, and you always seem to aim for a happy ending. I would think such characteristics would make a man such as yourself more prideful, yet you keep acting so humbly. It’s admirable.”
Senku was completely speechless. Her face, facing towards his, illuminated through stars and moonlight, surrounded by forestry, alone, with him. This was the most beautiful frame of his entire life. That was saying something since he remembered everything with photographic memory. Her hair flowed slightly with the drift of the breeze, and before he knew it, he had been staring longer than a minute. Just mesmorized but her appearance.
“Is something the matter Ishigami?” She curiously watched his stunned silence.
His jaw was still slack, his face still dusted rosy. Senku cleared his throat, fixing his appearance.
“Y-Yeah, all good.” Oh. My. God. His heart felt like it was about to burst through his chest with how loud it beat. Though physically impossible, it felt so loud he thought the entire woods might hear it. She was just so beautiful in the moonlight, and it was giving him a heart attack.
“Are you sure? You seem to be having a stroke.”
“Y-Yeah, quite sure, just feeling tired. I actually immediately need to head off to bed.”
She seemed not to fully buy this excuse but shrugged off his sudden departure. As soon as he was out of sight, he practically sprinted home. What was he doing?! What was the matter with him?! Why was he even running?! He halted at the front of the door; still midstride. With unusual haste, he skipped past his usual dialogue with Chrome and went straight to bed. Still in outdoor clothes.
“Uhm, what’s the matter with you? Didn’t you tell Chrome and me moments ago you wouldn’t be going to bed until the late hours of the night since you had plans?” Gen peaked over Senku after a few moments, noting the usually composed scientist was quite distraught.
“I am fine mentalist, I might answer your questions in the morning, but for now, I require silence.”
Gen studied Senku. The scientist was wrapped like a burrito in his sleeping bag and was clearly flustered. He kept mumbling and grumbling and stirring in his sack. Only one suspect came to mind. [Reader]. Though Senku usually never projected his emotions so obviously. Did something finally happen between the two? The quiet “courting” had been going on for nearly 2 months. Though this “courting” was more like Senku spouting facts while [reader] applauded, and then the scientist would hang on every word of his listener. It seemed his questions would have to wait til morning though, for Senku was too busy mumbling.
PART 2 FOR THE GEN FIC! WE LOVE CONFUSION IN RELATIONSHIPS! Anyway, just imagined part 2, so I am fulfilling the request for part two! (That's my excuse for coming up with fluff for this nymph)
The morning light filtered through the window of the observatory. God, his head was pounding. Gen turned, burying his face in the warmth of someone else. Wait, someone else? He quickly sat up. It was [reader]! A-And he was wearing one of their shirts. W-Wait, did he… Last night….
“Well, good morning.” She sat up, rubbing her eyes.
“Did we?” His voice was slightly shaky, his heart pounding through his chest.
She rubbed her eyes and opened them to be blessed by Gen’s flushed expression. She malfunctioned for a few seconds, slightly distracted. Though this reaction didn’t show across her expressionless mask.
“Did we what?”
“Y’know,” His face flushed even more, he fumbled with his hands.
“Oh, no, we didn’t sleep together. Though I changed your shirt, I hope you don’t mind. You were very drunk, and I found you rambling in a field. I thought you wouldn’t want to accidentally dirty your outfit.” She nodded her head.
He looked almost disappointed by this explanation, but hid this under his own mask. Though his was a sweet smile, unlike her stoicism.
“Well, thank you for returning me to my place of residence. I owe you a dinner, call it a date.” Gen winked.
“You don’t owe me anything, Asagiri. Just stay safe next time and don’t drink as much.” She stood up.
“I folded your clothes, they're under your pillow. I will go get some water for your hangover.”
He was sad to see her leave, and even more so that she hadn’t even considered his offer.
“Oh, okay.” He tried not to show this disappointment. But it was quite apparent. Apparent to anyone else. [Reader] simply went downstairs and returned a few minutes later with the supplies; he hadn’t re-dressed yet in his usual attire.
“Senku said this herbal tea would also aid you.” She set the water next to a cup of tea.
“Oh my, why thank you. Did you request such medication? How dutiful. Quite the charming trait.” He tilted his head, brushing his hand against hers as he picked up the tea. Gen sipped it slowly, maintaining eye contact.
“Senku noticed you were drunk when I carried you in. He gave me the blend this morning.” She didn’t even notice his obvious flirtation, maintaining her normal cold tone with 0 reactions.
“I am off to work, don’t drink so much next time.”
“Leaving already? I’d love it if you’d stay.”
She was already at the doorway, and she tilted her head back.
“Don’t worry, I don’t mean to overstay my welcome.” Then [reader] disappeared around the corner.
She must dislike him; why else would she ignore him so?
God, he looked so adorable. Her heart felt like it might explode through her chest. She had to leave. He looked too cute, all flustered and blushing. Especially when he looked up at her. No one else noticed this change in her; she seemed as cold and stoic as usual. Though unusually distracted.
“Are you okay?” Nikki studied [reader] with a questioning look.
“Yeah, I am good.” It was lunchtime, and she spent her lunch with Nikki and Minami.
“Are you sure?” Minami watched [Reader] carefully.
“Yeah.” She still stared off into space, the image of Gen, all flustered, wearing her shirt. It had still been carved into her mind. It would likely never leave, for the better.
“You have been stabbing the table beside your plate of food instead of your actual meal.”
[Reader] looked down to see that Minami was indeed right; in fact, she had gotten out a pretty big chunk of wood.
“Oh, my mistake.” She returned to her actual meal.
“You're even more distant than usual. What’s on your mind?” Nikki picked at her meal.
“Gen was drunk last night.”
“Oh? Going to tell me how pretty he is again.” Nikki returned to her own meal. It was usual for [Reader] to go talk about Gen on a daily basis by now.
“He was really pretty, and he kept clinging to me.”
Nikki choked on her food while Minami spat out her drink on the ground.
“W-What!?” Both girls said in unison.
“Yeah, asked me if I liked him.”
Minami recovered first, leaning in excitedly.
“Did you finally tell him!?”
“I said I didn’t dislike him.”
All hope left her eyes as soon as it came. A groan escaping her.
“Ohhh Myyyy Godddd, just tell him already!”
“He was really pretty in the moonlight.”
Nikki sighed, finally lowering from her own heat.
Meanwhile, Gen faced a similar dilemma.
“Mentalist, I am sick of this courtship with [reader].”
Gen looked up to see an annoyed spring onion, looming over him with crossed arms.
“It’s impacting efficiency.”
Gen stirred; he had recovered now. Though he wouldn't let Senku know. Instead, he would take a day of rest.
“Huh?” Gen murmured.
“I am getting sick of your courting of [Reader]. You are going to finish it tomorrow, before it diminishes work potential any further.”
“What do you mean?” Gen sat up, paying slightly more attention.
“You are asking her out tomorrow and resolving this.”
“W-What?!”
-Author's note: this is for the dear who kindly requested a part two for the Gen fic. The darling known as slepymango.
Sooo, someone requested a part three to the Xeno and Stan one, so I thought about post-petrification! Imagine after 3700 years she joins the American colonies b/c she was at the meeting! Obviously, she got some weird looks for the still pink get-up and the unlimited positivity, but no one questioned it b/c she was special forces with Stanley and friends with Xeno! I imagine she kept this mentality even after 3700 years and helped the colony with her brute strength and never-ending optimism; no one questioned the smiles and glitter b/c she was “besties” with Xeno and Stanley. After the usual plot, she ended up hunting down the kidnapped Xeno with the help of Stan. This entire time keeping her joyous smile, (mostly because the realization of Xeno in danger hadn’t quite sunk in yet.) She would keep this positivity until she saw Xeno tied up and “slightly” crashed out and shot nearly everyone apart of the kingdom of science in vital areas like idk.. The heart 😭. Especially after they tried holding down Stan. But since no one technically saw her being the shooter, it was dark out, they would make the mistake of reviving her 7 years later. Obviously, she is still “slightly” upset at the Kingdom of Science for taking Xeno. That is the main focus for this part three!
The revival fluid poured over [reader’s] statue. Luckily, Tsukasa was the one doing this task. The reason why this is lucky would later become apparent. Most had already been revived, including Xeno. The treaty had been established, but Xeno had not been informed of her soon revival. A mistake. The stone cracked. Then, out of nowhere, stone went flying off her. Before anyone could react, she rushed at Tsukasa. A solid punch straight to the throat. He choked on the sudden force, but luckily blocked her next attack to his ribs with his forearm. It still makes a sickening crack. Any other person might have died from the collapsed airways.
“You Bastards! How dare you take Xeno!” [Reader] was practically radiating animosity. Who cared that they had been petrified again! They took Xeno! Her next attacks were interrupted by Hyoga, who attempted to diffuse the fight, which ended with him flying after one big blow straight to the gut. [Reader] had nearly broken his spine. It didn’t take long for her to get Tsukasa in a chokehold. He had never experienced such a fighter before, even in his matches in the rink. She utilized all her limbs to kill.
Obviously, she wasn’t holding back her hits, not even the slightest. She was going for the kill.
He didn’t have a chance. He struggled in her grasp, desperately grasping to throw her off, but she wouldn’t budge. Her muscles were solid. Muay Tai, he recognized it now. Though this move was illegal. Tears welled up due to a lack of oxygen. He might not actually make it out of this. Hyoga was knocked out; there was no possibility of him returning in time. Her attacks had been mostly quiet; he doubted anyone had heard with all the construction going on. But then, as suddenly as [reader] had pinned him, she released. Tsukasa choked for air.
“Xeno!” She ran up to him, jumping up and pouncing on Xeno from behind in a embrace.
“[Reader]? I see you have been awakened.” Xeno turned his head, only to see Tsukasa still crumpled on the floor behind a sobbing [reader] who was snuggling into his shoulder.
His eyes darkened. This would be a lot of explaining.
“You didn’t kill him, did you?”
“Oh! Them! No, I don’t think I did.” Like a flip of a coin, she had returned to her usual. Now that Xeno was safe, there was no reason to be so upset.
The Kingdom of Science had unknowingly revived one of the strongest people on Xeno’s side. After everyone was finally situated (Tsukasa needed a cast, and Hyoga was very bruised), Xeno explained her antics. Of course, [Reader] was doting the entire time and helping out around camp.
“Oh come on! I ain’t that strong! I love how that X is still on your face cause your like a little treasure Xen Xen!” She poked his cheek with a sweet smile. Surprisingly, he let her.
“Let's spar later!” Kohaku was enthusiastic. This would be a new opportunity to sharpen her skills.
“Omg! I would love to! But first, where is Stan?”
“Not revived yet, dear. Patience is key.” Xeno leaned back, crossing his legs on his seat.
[Reader] pouted but went along with it. Over the next weeks, she weaved into the socials like a missing piece. The switch was insane. Their first introduction had been violent, but almost overnight, she became the sweetest person around camp. Often helping François bake!
“Uh, you sure we can trust her?” Chrome watched her, suspicious of her surprising friendliness. She was on the other side of the river, helping carry crates of minerals.
“Though I can’t be certain. She seems satisfied with the current situation. Since we have Stanley hidden away, I doubt she will kill.” Senku sipped his drink; it was in the late evening. Dinner time had long since passed, but the two scientists were still awake.
“Her maliciousness has diminished; she seems actually quite friendly-tay. Even in my observations.” Gen chimed in, joining the two on their night meeting.
“Were you listening in again, mentalist?” Senku turned his head, watching Gen’s approach.
“I prefer the term stopping by. I also bring news, Luna says Tsukasa has finally healed fully.”
“That’s good.” Chrome looked up. The stars were in different positions than they were in Japan. Senku had told him that with the Earth’s rotation, they were the actual ones moving, not the stars.
“So, you think she is good?”
Gen nodded.
“Pretty sure, though, she still seems to be missing ol’ Stanley but doesn’t radiate the same killing intent as before. Ask me, and I think she knows Stanley is safe and sound.”
Senku tilted his head.
“Oh? And how do you suppose she knows with such certainty?”
“Love, of course!” Gen smiled, spreading his arms, releasing a magical display of flower petals.
“Ew.” Chrome scoffed.
Gen could only return with a sigh. It seems everything would keep the peace for now.
-Side note from the author: Idk what I should do with this concept anymore. So I am open to any ideas you guys might like! This was for Iliakos-of-azuria, the commenter who requested another part.
Time for a Hyoga Akatsuki fic! I noticed there seemed to be a lack of fluff Hyoga fics (WE all know why), so I thought, why not? This will be one of my few that's AFTER the petrification. I just got this idea of a Hyoga trying to eat the meat at the camp (because let's be real, that's probably the only food they had, along with maybe some of the native plants that were actually recognizable) and disliking the unrefined taste. It’s not like it has any seasoning except salt, and that's gotta get boring as hell after the first week. But one day, he discovers a resident has been hiding their cooking skills and decides to get some of the good stuff, and just so happens to fall in love on the way.
He was beginning to get sick of meat every single day. Hyoga Akatsuki, the right-hand man to Tsukasa Shishio, sat by the fire. Brutes sat around him chowing down on skewers. Occasionally, just meat cooked on a bone. The night was still young, with the only light sources being the glow of the embers and the moonlight with stars. Yuzuriha fueled the fire, Taiju carrying the wood as she placed it in. They both seemed like “interesting” individuals. They apparently had both been a part of the scientist Senku’s team before his death. Such a shame, really. Hyoga stood up; he might as well go wash up before bed. He didn’t have an appetite at the moment.
The walk to the stream was quiet; he preferred that over those brutes talking about irrelevant information. The foliage was dense, so he had to lower his spear on his back so it wouldn’t catch on branches above. Eventually, he made it to the stream. It was crystal clear water with moonlight dancing over its ripples. Also very cold, he rinsed his face. Even with the blurry water reflection, he could tell his petrification scars on his face were still prominent. They felt rough under his fingertips; he still had to get used to that. He doubted they would fade. That’s when he smelled it, this rich scent. Not just the basic meat amenities the camp provides. No, this was the smell of something different, something familiar. Was that? Clams?
Meanwhile, [reader] was just finishing the last perfection of her meal. She had made steamed clams, ones she had personally had to scrub. Using chili oil she had made personally for a dipping sauce. Thank god, even after 3700 years, some of the plants imported had taken root natively. Now she would enjoy these clams with spice on top of rice. She had even found some spring onions as a final garnish! Perfect! Nothing could ruin this. The wooden paddle moved smoothly as she scooped rice, clam, and some of the dipping oil into a bowl. The sprinkle of the chopped greens added the last layer. This cooking process made her reminisce about the old world. Despite having been revived due to her extreme speed in track skills, she had actually cooked for her family daily. Her family, she missed them. Her little brother’s giggles, her older sister’s advice, her Mom arriving home with a bright smile, talking about her work day. Hopefully, their revival would be soon. She had already hidden her mother’s statue from Tsukasa. She couldn’t lose another parent. One day, she would snag 3 bottles and run away with her and her siblings. But until that time came, she would stay hidden, enjoying her carefully prepared meals and pretending to be just a runner. First, she would have to gain trust, stay here for at least a year or two, before Tsukasa would finally lower his guard.
Hyoga pushed past the foliage before his eyes lay upon a woman. She sat in a small, hidden-away clearing. He doubted anyone would have found it if the smell had not been so enticing. She faced a fire, but instead of skewers stuck in dirt by it, stones were layered and clayed together into a stove appearance. On top of this stove was what seemed to be a pot that was steaming. That girl, [reader], was it? She was a part of the hunting party. Though she rarely participated, instead running messages throughout the empire. Then, that smell wafted back through his mask to his nose. The bowl, it sat in front of her, with actual clams and rice! With garnish!
“What do we have here?”
She whipped her head around. Oh shit! Hyoga stood tall, towering over her from behind like a long shadow with his black cloak.
“Oh, Hyoga! Just some dinner! That’s all!”
He opened his eyes into slits, studying her carefully.
“That seems different from the usual ration, care to elaborate on the ingredients for that dinner?”
She quickly hid it behind her back. She didn’t want to turn into the entire cook’s camp. Why did Tsukasa’s right hand have to show up when she was just about to start eating?
“I got all the ingredients myself; I do not see a problem.”
“You can guess what I want.”
She sighed. It’s not like she could refuse. She wouldn’t risk losing trust over something as silly as a bowl. Still…
“Here,” [reader] handed him a bowl. It smelled delicious. He didn’t have a second thought. It was delicious. She ate her own.
[Reader] was pleasantly surprised. She had expected him to eat like the rest of the brutes at camp. Instead, he was carefully savoring every bite with stoicism. The cold air bit at his stomach before, now it was warmed by a sweet, tender, spicy clam. It was welcome, it was Proper.
“Do you make these meals every night?” He took another bite, studying her carefully.
“Yes,” [Reader] kept her eyes on her bowl as she ate. Yet she could feel his eyes digging into her.
He finished his food with a scrape of his spoon.
“I request you make one of these meals for me daily.”
“Yes.”
This is how it started. A cold exchange of food that occurs daily. That lasted a week. Soon, it got hard to eat these new meals with his mask on, so he took it off. He expected the usual hassle. Maybe a gasp, or a disgusted glare. But she didn’t even react, just kept eating her food after a simple glance. Not in an awkward look away, more like she didn’t care.
“You are not surprised.” He studied her yet again, but unlike his usual, it was curiosity more than essential intel.
“I have seen worse.” She continued eating, having adapted to his intense gaze around the first 3 days.
“And what was worse?”
“My father, he died in a house fire. His scars healed over when he was in a coma for a while, but his body was too damaged to repair and gave out.” Her eyes watered slightly; she looked younger for a moment, like a scared child. That moment disappeared as quickly as it came when she wiped her face and returned to her meal. Though she still seemed sorrowful.
This is what intrigued him enough to actually start conversing during their meals. Within the month, they both knew quite a lot of personal details about one another, and a mutual trust within this bond had formed. Hyoga looked forward to these meals as a chance to talk in quiet while [reader] sought refuge from her troubles with the brooding warrior. She hadn’t realized how much she missed sharing a meal with conversation until she began talking with Hyoga. She was the first to realize her feelings, though this realization had occurred over a long period of time, noticing small things like how his stoic facade would melt with savory meats, or how he always tapped his fingers when he was hungry. Meanwhile, Hyoga’s realization came all at once like a floodgate finally bursting open. Though even with large quantities of water rushing past a gate, you could still look away and ignore it until it became a problem. This analogy was similar to Hyoga’s realization.
“Welcome back, Hyoga.” She was already scooping portions into bowls.
“Something new today?” He sat down beside her as usual, though it seemed closer by the passing days.
“Soba, I heard from Homura that you were quite fond of it in the old world. I just so happened to frequently make it from scratch. It wasn’t that hard.” She smiled warmly, holding out the bowl for him.
“Please, enjoy.” He took the bowl, still staring at her, his jaw dropped behind his mask. He was so screwed. His face felt like it was heating up significantly as his hand brushed hers. She went back to eating while he still stared. How did he never notice how beautiful [Reader’s] smile was? He hadn’t recalled seeing her smile before. He wanted to see more of it. Wait, what? What was he thinking?
Y’know, I was thinking about writing another part to the fic with Stan x a super girly girl! Imagine Xeno’s shock when Stanley comes over, and now he is accompanied by a ray of sunshine. Meanwhile, Stan is still reeling from what she did to that guy. IMAGINE THE CHAOS! >:3
“Is something the matter, Stanley?” Xeno looked curious; his usually composed friend was staring at his sandwich instead of eating it for lunch.
It was the afternoon, and Stan had been acting odd all day. He seemed to be in deep thought. Something must have occurred while he was working on his experiments. Not only because of Stanley’s unusual behavior, but also because of an obvious bubble that had formed around them that seemed to repel other people. Even the usual “tough” kids acted as if they had the plague.
“Just met a really weird kid yesterday.”
Xeno let out a soft yet slightly worried chuckle.
“Well, they must be quite peculiar if you find them out of the ordinary. Care to elaborate?”
Stanley cleared his throat, finally looking up from his untouched meal.
“They beat up one of the held back seniors and beat my score on the range.”
Xeno tilted his head curiously. So, that was the context for their new plague bubble.
“That is quite peculiar. May I meet this irregularity?”
Stanley shrugged.
“If you want, we can visit them after school. They're our age, but they go to a different school. They stay around the same spots, though, it won’t be hard to find them.”
Similar to Stanley, Xeno was expecting someone tall and muscular, maybe edgy-looking. But registered the same shock when Stanley led him to a girly salon.
“Here we are.”
“And you’re sure this is the correct location?”
Stanley flicked a lollypop rapper into the garbage.
“I am sure.” He walked ahead, Xeno following behind. The inside was just as bright and girly as the exterior. Though since it was 3 PM, it was quite busy. Ladies were complaining, complimenting, and informing one another about the latest. A little overwhelming, especially with the pungent smells of care products and perfumes. Rebbeca smirked when she spotted Stanley.
“Wow! We have the sharp shooter back! You look more alive than how pale you were yesterday! Thought you saw a ghost and would never return!” The brunette leaned over the counter, chewing gum and twirling her hair. Susan walked up behind her.
“Now, now, let's not tease the young man yet. He seems to have brought a friend. Who might you be?”
Mrs. Cleave cleared her throat behind both of the ladies.
“Apologies for their behavior. Please ignore them. Welcome back.”
Now Xeno was genuinely puzzled. This seemed like a regular salon. Why would someone who broke a senior's nose spend their time here? Maybe hired security? But there wasn’t much crime. That’s when he saw her. A pretty-looking girl around their age, she wore a pastel pink apron reading “kiss the cook” over a white dress, which still had a common theme of pink. In one hand, she held a white plate with heart-shaped pink sugar cookies; in the other, she held oven mitts.
“Oh my! I wasn’t expecting you to return so soon!” She smiled sweetly, rushing over to hug Stan with her oven mitt holding arm, still balancing sugar cookies in the other.
“And a new friend! Welcome to the salon!” She hugged Xeno as well; she smelled of all sorts of cake ingredients.
“This is the girl who beat up the senior and beat my score.” Stanley chuckled.
Xeno looked surprised to say the least.
“Oh, Stanley! I just knocked the guy out; I didn’t beat him up. Now who wants sugar cookies?” She practically glowed with joy while Xeno looked horrified. The ladies behind the counter giggled at the interaction before being dragged back to work by Mrs. Cleave.
[Reader] ended up taking them to her room, which was about as pink as her clothes. The entire thing looked straight out of a dollhouse; it even included a center table with a pink tablecloth and many pastries.
“Come in! I need your critique on my baked goods!” Her voice was honeyed, and she led both of them to pastel pink seats that were shaped like flowers. Xeno was questioning his life decisions, while Stanley had adapted to the situation, just letting her drag him around.
“You one-shot a senior,” Xeno clasped his hands together, staring a hole into the center of the table as he sat on a pink flower pedal cushion.
She smiled and pointed to herself quizically, tilting her head.
“I suppose I did, though I did kick the guy first before the punch.”
Stanley just chuckled, having accepted his life.
“I heard a crack when she kicked the guy, pretty sure the guy’s ribs must have broken.”
She poked Stanley’s cheek with a pout.
“Who cares, I want you guys to try my pastries already and tell me your critiques.”
Xeno could not believe this girl; she was an unexplained phenomenon. How could a girl who seemed to spend her time baking have such raw strength and martial arts knowledge? [Reader] smiled sweetly, watching Stanley try her sugar cookies, then looked at Xeno expectantly. He went along with it. The cookies were quite good and sweet.
“Do you do any training?” Stan was curious; he twirled his lollipop absent-mindedly in one hand while eating the sugar cookie in the other.
“Well, I do Muay Tai!” She chimed, her smile brightening with their enjoyment of the sugar cookies.
“What is that?” Xeno had never heard of the martial art, though he didn’t know much about fighting; he knew there were types of it. He had been expecting something common.
“I have video tapes if you wanna see! Let me go get them! Enjoy the cookies!” She sped off.
When she returned with a TV on wheels and the tape, Stanley and Xeno were horrified. The fights were absolutely brutal. Broken bones, sprains, bruising, it was worse than the school fights. They didn’t even recognize her at first. In the uniform, she looked absolutely built with dense muscles; she had even broken a guy's jaw with her knee. [Reader] explained the moves with the same sweetness she used about the sugar cookies she had made.
This conversation was the beginning of her joining their duo and turning it into a trio, with the brains of Xeno, the sniper Stanley, and their martial artist [reader].
