The state of Wabi-sabi nurtures all that is authentic by acknowledging three simple realities: nothing lasts, nothing is finished, and nothing is perfect.

The hypocrisy of the #barechest 😔 in the 1930’s when men won the right to be #topless in public, ppl thought it would be the end of our civilized society - that #women would not be able to contain or suppress their sexual impulses when confronted with the bare #malechest 🤦♂️ now ppl are using the same pathetic argument against #womensrights to be #barechested in public 😔 oh the hypocrisy of our #patriarchal “civilized society” 🤢 #freethenipplemovement #feminist #feminism #intersectionalfeminism #allbodiesaregoodbodies #womenequality #patriarchy #empoweringwomen #equalrights #genderequality #nipple (at New York City) https://www.instagram.com/p/Bv4_r-RB6sq/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=mdp78a3661y9
Here is 84 year-old anthropologist Jane Goodall with 16 year-old climate activist Greta Thunberg at an event in Switzerland in January 2019. Happy Monday, have a wonderful week, never forget that you can change the world.
Life is like a roller coaster. It’s never going to be perfect—it is going to have perfect moments, and then rough spots, but it’s all worth it.
- Patti Smith
The Buddha taught us something very important. We cannot wake a sleeper who is unready to awake nor can we prevent the awakening of one who is ready. Such things are not within our power or purview. We can guide others. We can nudge and nurture. We can shield the flickering blue flames of the tinder as it catches flame and we can feed the blaze as it grows but a sudden cloudburst or rising wind will dash our efforts to naught sometimes.
We try again. What else can we do?
We throw out seeds, and then we hope that the mind in which they land becomes sufficiently fertile enough that they will grow, however slowly, until one day they bloom.
This is so cute ☺️

Gave up on Tumbler years ago because of the sexist rule change but am back for one final post to share something that really needs to go viral if we want anything to change.
