High-school

I wonder why, I keep dreaming about the times in high school. Times were I was socially awkward. Times were I was searching for something that didn't really exist. Like the truth about everything. The truth about reality itself. I wanted to be alone. So that people wouldn't hurt me with their feelings, with their ways of doing things. Those were the hard times. Those were the good times. Those were the best of times.

I wonder why, I keep dreaming about high school. A sense of dread and anxiety takes me when the dreams kick in. I'm not dreaming a memory. But rather me in high school all grown up...

A dream is how the irrational part of the brain communicates it's needs with its rational part. I wish I knew how to translate this message. I wish I could receive just texts on my phone. Instead of cryptic dreams filled with dread and anxiety.

I wish I could wake up with a smile once in a while. But that would be even more disturbing probably.

I wish I could stop thinking about the future sometimes. I wish I could still relive that time where, my ultimate goal in life was just to be good at school, and do nothing during summer.

It was comforting, not to be scared about the future.
