One day this cat is trying to open our door. When I opened the door, the cat just went in. I didn't know what to do so I just let her. Little did I know that she's looking for a place to give birth. I'm so giddy about the idea that I'm like the shepherd who gave a birthing place for Mother Mary in the story of Bethlehem. I even assisted in giving birth to her kittens. I seriously don't know what to do that I simply watched. I felt like crying because I just witnessed something wonderful in my life. I lost my mom more than one year before that episode so it's the first time my spirit was lifted after her death. The cat gave birth to 3 kittens. Aki is the 2nd kitten. I named her Akachan which means baby or infant in Japanese. It really fits her up until now because she will always be the baby of our family. Aki's a fiery feline.Very moody especially when pregnant. Always hungry which is natural for cats since they eat 16 meals a day on the average. She loves to play with hanging objects but really gets it going for round objects. Her favorite toy is the stress ball. She plays catch and soccer. Even when she's older now, she still loves to play. Her 2 most favorite food is fish and chicken. She likes milk but in small amounts. I sometimes give her vanilla ice cream during the summer and she's asking for more (she eats almost everything). She has a singsong voice especially when she's asking for food. Unboxing my first BDJ Box: June 2015

The great way to start any makeup experience is through its foundation: great skin. It is the first time I heard about Bioderma and I am so excited using their products. It’s been 3 days since I received the box and so far, I am delighted.

I am not a make up person so I give importance to bare beautiful skin. I’ve tried Atoderm Gel Moussant, Sensibio Eye Contour Gel, Sensibio DS+, Sebum AKN, Photoderm Max, and Sebium Pore Refiner. There are several things I’ve noticed about this line: 1.) gentle on the skin, 2.) clean scent, and 3.) lightweight.

Just by using the products, I have now my favorites. First one would be the Moussant. It is a gentle cleanser. I love that it does not irritate my eyes when I use it just like other facial cleansers or washes. Second is the Eye Gel. I use it after every wash and I love how it maintains the natural moisture around my eyes. The third and last of my favorites is the pore refiner. I love the scent.. gentle and clean. My ultimate beauty goal is to not have prominent pores even with the no make up look so I really love this product.

The only regret I have is that the tube sizes are small. I want to enjoy Bioderma more.

When I was 19, I was already on a job hunt. It was hard for a nineteen-year old girl to find one when she’s not yet a college graduate, no previous working experience and no concrete reference to back her up. But then there was a call center opportunity that also gives free training. It was really an opportunity not to be missed. 

   I remember one of the activities in that training that has an impact to me for some reason. There’s this relay of questions and answers -- questions that are out of the blue so we could also practice a conversational environment. In the relay, there is this one guy who asked me “What are you looking for in a guy?” I answered the qualities that, at that time, I think that I prefer. I told the class that I like an intelligent, successful guy. It is someone that one could be proud to introduce to people and family. Someone that could give a girl stability. Then our mentor asked me how old I am. I answered her and she said, “You are still young. You have plenty of time to determine what you really want in a guy.” All I can say is that she’s right. She is definitely right.

   In this present day, there are so many divorces and broken families. Marriage is taken lightly. Relationships are just for show. Love-making is degraded into a beneficial act. For a girl, we grew up hearing fairy tales, perfect princes and happily-ever after. We have this notion that a prince should be handsome, brave, and wealthy. Apparently, it is not applicable in the real world. Many have had their hearts break because they cannot have the captain of the varsity team, or the popular band vocalist, or the wealthiest guy mentioned in the magazine. We have this classic depiction of a prince. But there is no prince. Only a Mr. Right.

   I think the most important ingredient in a happily ever after is not the material characteristics of our own princes, but rather the man itself. We are busy looking for that princely radiance that we forget what we really want. Do you want a guy who is in it in a long-term? Do you want a guy who speaks poetry? Do you want a guy who converses in a witty manner but speaks deeply in matters of the heart? Do you want a guy who you could spend afternoons cuddling in the sofa and not get tired of it? If so, then you are on the right track of finding, not a prince, but someone meant to be for you. 

   I ask myself, how I wanted to be loved? I want someone who would care for me in the least. Someone who would appreciate the simple me. Someone who would know how to handle my moody personality. I wanted to be loved in a way a woman deserves to be loved. There’s a million guys out there. but there could only be one person for me. I don’t want a fairy tale. I want a real relationship that would last because, not because it’s perfect, but because I found the match for me.

                               You're the Apple of My Pie

   The Christmas season is the most festive event in the Philippines. It is the most celebrated holiday in the country. To join in the celebration, McDonald's launched it's McFlurry Christmas limited edition desserts namely the Mudpie Mcflurry with Oreo, White Chocolate Mcflurry with Oreo and Apple Pie ala Mode.

   I always love McDonald's apple pie but it has been at its yummiest by adding caramel sundae. Imagine the warm apple pie and ice cream topped with caramel which complements the cinnamon. One word. Heaven.

   In the past week, I have gone 3 times already just to have that concoction. It is a simple combination of two well loved desserts but it is certainly made more special. I would most definitely go to the nearest franchise just to taste it again. My mouth is already watering just by writing about this. I just hope that McDonald's would be good enough to make this limited edition dessert permanent on the menu.

   Have you ever wanted something so bad?

   To answer the question, yes I have. I took the board examination 3 times but was unsuccessful. If you would ask me if I have given up, No, I haven't. I'm planning to take another test and this time I'm going to make it. It is heartbreaking on my part to be so close, yet it is not enough. But, I told myself that I wanted it so bad that I am willing to put myself under another bout of pressure, stress, and all the difficulties that go with it.

     The journey wouldn't be easy. There are those who don't believe in my abilities anymore. There are those who look at me with disappointment. My support system isn't the same as before. I feel bad but I have to move on. Dwelling on the failure wouldn't take me closer to my dreams.

    Realizing that I want the title more than I am daunted by the difficulties ahead, I have to bounce back and face the future. I need to make my move -- take things one step at a time and tread my way through my goals carefully. There is always a reason behind a failure. There is always a lesson in every challenge. And I am up for the challenge. People might not believe in me, but I have faith that everything is possible when you put your heart and soul in it. I wanted the title. I wanted it so bad, and from there I would start anew. I would believe in myself. I would do more with what I have and I will make it because I know  that with hard work, there are no limits.

One of the most amusing cat traits is them being cute and lazy at the same time. They would sleep for 16 hours a day and yet we can watch them and never be bored. They could sleep at different positions, stretch and yawn and that's it.. more than half of the day is gone.
