"Love, may we talk?" X sounded sad for some reason, it also did not help that he was gently hugging his own body.

It had been far too long ever since they’ve met. But when they did, seeing X in such condition surprised him and gave him a huge shock. He ran over to his blue lover and frowned. “Did something happened to you? Who had hurt you, X?” he asked with a tone of worry.

X was speechless for a moment before looking up at Zero with gentle eyes.

“Deep down… I know that. And my dear, I understood after awhile why you sealed yourself away. I was angry with you, I won’t lie. But…. I realized later that you were, for the first time in your life…. truly scared of yourself. I just wish I could have told you that I would have stood by you thro pain and bliss, happiness and sorrow, no matter what. I still do and I still will, always…… But right now, you have a mission to do. And even tho I can’t stand by you this time… I’ll watch over you from here on out.”

He smiles softly to the other, feeling his own core warm up while still feeling heavy.

He smiled in return and hugged his partner close.

“X, know that I will do anything to protect you and those whom you and I care for. Thank you for understanding my feelings too. Now that we are both here, we will go through it together.”

Admist all the chaos inside his head, he hears the old man laughing. As if the old man finally won the war. He grits his jagged teeth and points his pistol to the side of his head. Pulling the trigger without hesitation.

His eyes widened at that and frowned. Knowing Omega, he wouldn’t do that out of the sudden. That would mean something is infecting his systems. He jumped a few steps back and calibrate his systems to adjust his calculations with the loss of one of his side. At that, he took his stance to be on guard on anything later. After all, this devil can revive itself. A shot like that would not kill him

The shot merely gave the devil a more or less of reset on his field of vision. He let himself fall hard on the ground as he’s more keen in finding where the signal is coming from. “How… dare…”, he grunted. Coughing out reploid fluids between his words. First, disturbing his slumber.. now this? UNFORGIVABLE, he rages within.

Frowning, he walked up to the devil and stood before him. “Need him to hit you hard, Omega?”

X tries to calm down. He knew Zero’s words were true, he would never fight for something or someone he did not believe in. It made X happy to know that Zero truly believed in him, but it also made X feel alittle uneasy.

“I have been told so many times that I’m a hopeless romantic. That my dreams of the futur seem like a naive dream. I know that I’m an hopeless romantic, but that’s becuz I dare not to stop feeling love. My heart froze over during my lonely years on the throne…. And look what’s become of Neo Arcadia. I only wish for the best and I know it comes at a price, I had only hoped that I could have fought with you now….. But… Im too tired and my body is gone. I’m helpless and I hate it! For you deserve so much better of me, my love. But right now I have nothing more to give and I’m ashamed of that.”

He gently release X to pet his head.

“I have left you alone for too long, my love. For you to suffer alone, I am sorry. But never doubt your beliefs, X. Never. The things that happened in Neo Arcadia were out of your control. There are evil in humans as the same in Reploids. Who are we, but mere robots working to protect those we care. We are not Gods, X. We are just machines. We can only do limited things. So don’t think you are nothing, X. I am already happy to see you return and stood by my side. Nothing else is needed.”

zerooftheresistance: Seeing that he could not have the time to avoid, he changed his Chain Rod to Shield Boomerang. After all, a charged shot is something that he can’t deflect with his saber. His eyes narrowed dangerously but his smirk never dropped. “Don’t look down on me, you devil!” While saying that, he had another saber handle held in his hand, ready to activate when the shot comes to change his weapon form.

“But I only have my eyes on you, liebste!”, the devil proclaims followed by the charged shot. Pulling out his second saber handle, he whisk it to life. Preparing for a barrage of crescent slashes set to start once the shot hits its target. And yet, his left hand went offline before he could take the stance. “Ah?”

With the Shield Boomerang, he deflected the shot and with swift move, he turned and slashed at Omega, cutting at the left arm. But that confused him because it was not like the other to not react.

Despite he was ready for the other, he hadn’t expected the other to use the gun. He had expected the saber so even when he managed to avoid it hitting his crystal, his right side of his face and helmet were damaged. The right part of the helmet was blown off, revealing his golden hair while static damage was seen on his right eye. Despite that, he changed his weapon to Chain Rod and aimed the weapon at the other. Though his aim was off due to the impaired vision that he had now.

“Tch!” he cursed as he knew the aim was off.

There was no time to admire that beautifully damaged face for he devil craved for more. He caught the chain instead of avoiding it, his pistol charging at one hand, pulling the other close. Not giving enough time to breathe, not that they need it. His palm burning from the blades of the chain, which never bothered him. All he knew, his precious hunter his here. Asking for some beating he’s gladly willing to give.

He takes another aim at the in coming hunter, wearing that insane smile that sent terrors to many. “Zero, is this all you got~?!”

Seeing that he could not have the time to avoid, he changed his Chain Rod to Shield Boomerang. After all, a charged shot is something that he can’t deflect with his saber. His eyes narrowed dangerously but his smirk never dropped.

And combined with the huge debris, could render the unfortunate reploid useless. But the devil just took it heartily as if it’s just a morning wake up call. A giggle soon echoes moments after as the devil rises from the rubble. His grin did not changed the slightest. A large boulder at hand, he called out Zero’s name before hurling it towards him at such brute force.

Seeing the other had finally gotten serious, a smirk grew as he charged his saber before slashing down at the boulder, splitting into half. But knowing the devil, he had to prepare for the next attack which the devil may sent from behind the boulder.

Once the boulder splits, the hunter’s hunch came into reality. The devil is indeed behind it with his charged pistol aimed at Zero’s forehead crystal. “Ah, you found me~~!”, he exclaimed and pulled the trigger.

Despite he was ready for the other, he hadn’t expected the other to use the gun. “No one has hurt me, Zero. I have just been….. Thinking.” X lets out a deep sigh, but his breath was shaking. “Do you feel as if I have given you misery? …. I know you believed you gave me that when you sealed yourself away after the Elf wars…. But I have began to wonder if the fault was mine….”

He looked at his partner and tilted his head a little. Did he actually felt the other had given him misery? No. Never. In fact, he did all those willingly. As for the fault, there was none in his opinion. It was all his choice. He went up to him and hugged the other. “No. I did not feel you’ve given me misery. That was not your fault. I chose it. I chose to be sealed away.”

“I guess being alone for so long has trapped me in my own head. I keep asking myself what I could have done better, things I could have change to prevent so much blood from being spilled. Then, I begin to think so far back to the time I was so naive. You have always been there for me, but there are times I wish I did more for you.” X was holding back tears. Why did he have to be like this? It hurts….

He went up to X and gently wrapped his arms around his lover. He pulled him close and let his core pulsate to calm the other. “X, never have I thought your efforts were in vain. There are times blood will be spilled. But, what is important is that we move forward to create a better world for those who have yet to come. And in this case, I’d rather be the sword to the shield. I will fight for the ideals that you want. Because I believe in the believes that you hold.”

Zero had expected that attack before bring his saber up and parry the attack. Truth to be told, instead of evading, he would rather face that attack face on. He wanted to test his strength in withstanding the attack. Unbeknownst to him, a small grin was form on his face, as though he was enjoying it.

When his spinning abruptly stops by the hunter’s saber, his sheer force pushes Zero further down the ground. Using the recoil to start his maddening saber combo. Usually, after three slashes, whoever is at the receiving end is already dead to the point the combo ends the cadaver is unrecognizable. But hey, this person is his favorite target. And he expects nothing less from him.

The ground cracked when he was pushed further into the ground. But he was unfazed. His motors whirled as he tried to pushed the other back. With each combo sent to him, he countered with his own saber. Each swing of his green saber met with his red one. Some, he would avoid, but most were countered. It was at one small opening that he saw and kicked the other away.

He scoffed as he also brought his saber up and activate it to parry the other’s attack. “Don’t think I’ve gotten weak, Omega.” He then activated his other saber and with Recoil Rod, he pushed the other away.

A backflip followed by a quick spin made the devil’s grin wider. “I’d be very disappointed if you did so, Zero.” He lunges again and starts his barrage of saber slashes at the hunter. “You know that only you can dance so well with me!”, the devil exclaimed as a fully charged crescent slash lash out.

He scoffed before changing back to his saber and sent a few saber slashes at the other to parry the attack. Only at the charged crescent slash did he jumped and sent his own at the other.

The incoming attack is gracefully evaded by the devil as he rushes towards the hunter. His core racing, his saber twirling between his fingertips. Blazing blood ruby eyes locked on Zero, jumping just above him with his arms high. Magenta blade burning as he let the momentum of his downward curve slash make him spin like a runaway sawblade towards his prized target.

A glint flashed past his eyes when the other said to test it out. Surprisingly for him, he wanted to test out his ability too. But since no one allowed him to, he had been only training in the training room. So he looked at the other and then jumped back a few distances away.

“No need to hold back. Come at me at full force.”

Overwhelming delight flooding the devil’s systems. As if, someone just lifted the lock of his restraints. “Ah, Zero…. you shouldn’t say such things.” A muffled chuckle. His body already cracking with crimson energy, making his pale blonde locks to whip behind him like angry serpents. “You know that I do get overboard when you tease me like that~” Nonetheless, the devil lunges at him. Magenta saber flaring to life.

As time passed, he was suddenly thrown to a new world. Another that was familiar, like his old world. But he was sure it was not his world as there are some things that were different. He turned and walked to see a red figure's back standing a distance away from him. Wondering who that was, he walked towards the figure until he was a distance away. "You there, may I know what world am I in?"

Omega Zero’s head and purple eyes quickly darted towards the Zero as they heard his voice. They immediately started dashing away from them but a W popped up in their head gem mid dash. The fusion collapses on their knees and started grabbing their head, screaming in pain. “N-NO!” A red aura started to pop up around them.

They were about to dodge the fire that the other sent but the W in the fusion’s head gem quickly changed int a Z. They grabbed their head in pain and the fire went and directly hit in the gem. Causing the original programming to be corrupted and useless and rendering them to go unconscious.

He was taken aback by the sudden reaction from the other. Frowning, he jumped back for a bit and waited to see if the other would get up again to attack him. Such feint attacks were common after all. As he waited a bit more and see that the other was unconscious, he went over and turned him over to have a look.

Noticing that the other’s crystal were shattered, he frowned and carried the other. If this world was the same as him, he would be able to find the Resistance members to repair his counterpart. Though he would leave immediately the moment any Resistance appeared. He is not from this world after all. So he walked ahead.

The crazed crimson devil immediately reel back out of the way of the slash that this Zero made. Kneel to the ground with a leg after that, growling…They watched the resistance’s ace like an animal and waited for an opportunity or opening for an attack.

Zero decided to keep a distance away from the other first before taking out another saber handle to activate. It seemed that this battle will need him to go all out. After all, the enemy in front of him was considered to be his alternate. For his alternate to turn Maverick, something must have happened. Especially with that red aura earlier.

“…Hehehehehehehe. AHAHAHAHAHA!” A disturbing smile crept on the fusion as they saw this. They began charging up energy into their right hand. The Maverick immediately threw that hand up into the sky and a large blue laser came rocketing off from it. Lasers began skyrocketed down towards Zero.

The familiar skill that he had seen before and was not foreign aboht it. He swiftly avoided it before attaching his saber to a gun-shaped weapon. Once attached, he fires at his counterpart while evaiding the lasers.
