Oh, snap! Well, I guess my midseason break is starting early. I won't be racing @redhookcrit and probably not @wolfpackhustle #shortlinecrit either, but I'll still be at the former to cheer and support my teammates @theheavypedal. Love this shot by @mashsf. My first taste of bike racing was in city streets, trying to out-mash and out-maneuver the guys in this photo. It's rad seeing how everyone's progressed and branched out, but are still brought back to track bikes - and doing things on them that make people say "those guys are fucking crazy." (at The Mission)

I love shredding under the flag of @theheavypedal and I've also got to give a shout to my local @freewheelbikeshop for consistently blowing me away with their support no matter what jersey I'm wearing. #tbt almost 2 years ago, @eddorsed and I combined our birthday stupidity and rode our bikes from Dublin BART to Mono Hot Springs, where @bbdodd met us with camping gear (best GF + present ever, ❤️ you boo!). We rode about 270 miles and 16k in two days, crossing through the Central Valley and over Kaiser Pass. It was an incredible time. Plans are already hatching in my head for how to top the 2014 #coolstorybrovet.

San Dimas Stage Race 2016: First I went big, then I went home! What a tough three days. Had a pretty solid hill climb time, then went all in on a big breakaway in the road race that didn't work out. I had a chance to win the whole weekend but ended up with nothing - "that's bike racing," as they say. Here's that moment captured by injured @dolcevitacycling teammate Michael Coughlan, who worked the feed zone and selflessly supported us all weekend. This also marks the end of six almost-consecutive weekends of racing for our elite squad - time for a short break. Sayonara, early season, it's been real. (at Frank G. Bonelli Regional Park)

Good morning from #ChateauDeDolce for the 2016 San Dimas Stage Race! Stage 1 is a 4.25 mile hill climb trial up Glendora Mountain Road ("GMR" if you speak local). I've been limiting myself to one beer or wine a night this week so that should help me beat some skinny guys right? Right. #dolcevitafreewheel (at Walnut, California)

Had bad luck at the #copperopolis2016 Road Race today. Caught a puncture on lap 2 and chased solo til lap 5 (a brutal 45-50 miles). My team did great though, and now I'm gonna drink some wines and beers with @bbdodd ! #pma #afewofmyfavoritethings (at Murphys Historic Hotel)

One of the most useful skills I've learned racing road bikes is how to prep a 1,000 calorie breakfast that can be ready to eat using only the microwave in your motel room in the Middle of Nowhere, CA at 5am. #copperopolis2016 (at Holiday Inn Express Oakdale Ca)
