Trade Mistakes;; Yeonwoo & Yixuan
Yeonwoo rubs the smaller guy’s back softly, careful not to upset his probably already volatile stomach. The last thing Yeonwoo needs right now is having to figure out how to pay for that for the cab driver, who is giving them bad looks from the review mirror. It’s possible he’s had drunk kids in his car before and Yeonwoo wonders if it ever ends well. All he can do is pray the kid doesn’t vomit on his shoes– these are the only pair he owns.
When the drive finally ends and Yeonwoo pays the guy, he pulls Lu’s arm across his shoulders and hauls him from Yeonwoo side of the cab. “If you feel like throwing up, please just hold on a few minutes until I can get you to the bathroom in my place okay?” He frowns at him, hoping he can understand him. The guy keeps going back and forth between Korean and Chinese, it sounds like. Not that Yeonwoo knows any Chinese dialects, but he can recognize some of the sounds, now that they’re so close to each other.
He focuses on getting them both to the door of his apartment though, wobbling through the entrance to the elevator, and then down the hallway. He has to lean Lu against the wall, keeping a handle on him while simultaneously opening the door. Dropping him off onto the couch is more of a challenge than Yeonwoo had anticipated, because there is more clutter than he’d thought, but he at least manages to get Lu’s upper half onto the cushions. “There- ahh! There you go, big guy… rest well…”
“No, I won’t,” Yixuan mumbled as he was pulled from the cab by Yeonwoo. He felt utterly gross and it was only exacerbated by the alcohol aftertaste he still had on his lips. He was going to give up drinking, he couldn’t keep doing this and he wished he could properly thank the kind stranger for helping him.
Yixuan said a few things in Mandarin under his breath, unable to process any thoughts properly. “I’m so sorry, sorry,” He chokes out in Korean when he’s plopped down on the bed. He doesn’t have any strength to do anything but moan and whine a little in a mixture of Korean and Mandarin.
“Okay okay.... Thanks, I’m sorry,” He didn’t recognize a thing, but assumed he was probably in this stranger’s house. The world was spinning and all Yixuan could do was close his eyes and try to make sure he didn’t end up slipping off the couch.

it isn’t just the difficulty of remembering a time he dreamed he could afford such clothing ( a time where he was so close it wasn’t to be a dream any longer ), but he only has enough money for a singular article of clothing. it unfolds seemingly endless minutes of perusing the store debating what he should select.
it’s pointless, in hindsight, for little of what’s available is suitable for work, but he passed the store on his return home and just —- just —-
he had the money. so he turned around and entered the store.
but now, holding two jackets, three shirts, and a pair of skinny jeans, the curl of regret is crawling up ahseung’s throat. biting his lip, he peers over the racks, eyeing someone he thinks greeted him when he entered the store. he could be sorely wrong, but he needs to leave this place, and with something at least.
it’s an awkward fumble around the racks, his fingers gripping the clothing tight as he draws clear. “excuse me,” he says, pulling a smile so, so easily. “is it alright for me to ask you for a second opinion? i’m afraid i can’t make a choice.”
Yixuan was strolling through the racks of Tiger Stripes, sorting and taking a tally of their stock. Honestly, if Yixuan owned the place he’d redo at least half of their summer collection. It wasn’t dreadful, but of course he had better taste than anyone in there.
After a few seconds of switching some displays around and folding a shirt that some rude customer had carelessly thrown back onto the shelf. Geez, even in such a high end store they still got disrespectful customers, he thought.
“Oh, yes, of course, anything,” The pink haired boy was quick to turn around to give his full attention to the customer speaking to him. He was excited whenever anyone asked him for his opinion because clearly they were coming to the right place. “So what’s the dilemma?”

A gentle squeeze was given to his hand upon receiving his reassuring words. It helped suppress the negative thoughts running through her mind and she should probably consider taking his advice. Overthinking the situation would deprive her of fun. No matter what crops up, they had two heads to come up with solutions. Two heads were surely better than one.
She rested her head atop his, willing herself to relax and let go of all the worries. The task was not that simple though. Stella needed to be distracted. Thus, she posed a random question in an attempt to steer their conversation to another direction, “Do you miss them?” And by ‘them’ she meant his parents.
Eyelids closed, Stella imagined how they would look like in person while waiting for Yixuan’s reply. She wondered who he took after. Judging from the feminine facial features (Yeonwoo would agree on this one), the girl assumed his mother’s genetics influenced Yixuan’s ‘pretty boy’ appearance. “I bet you miss your mother at least.”
Yixuan was a bit confused by Stella’s question about him missing his parents because, aside from her, he didn’t really mention them to anyone else. “No,” He said bluntly before regretting his words and quickly adding, “But,” to soften it. There was a brief pause as Yixuan pondered over what to add.
“I like my independence. They mean well, but it’s difficult when they can’t take my dream seriously,” He was referring to his musical career, which of course his parents were still unsupportive. He didn’t want to run a business, he wanted to make music with friends.
He shifted in his seat and slumped down, admittedly a little upset. “I wish they would get out of my love life,” He sighed. If they did, he wouldn’t have to drag his friend all the way from Korea to see them, he thought. As fun as a trip with Stella was, the reason behind it was anything but. “I’m sorry, we have free time so we can explore, I’ll show you Beijing!”

You need to risk more, you need to get out of your comfort zone - the words ringing in Minseok’s head while he has a plastic cap on, looking like a worried condom. The reason he is worried it because when his therapist said to get out of his comfort zone he probably meant go to a bar, meet people! - and not go dye your hair pink.
The idea came up because ever since Yixuan showed up with cotton candy pink hair, Minseok was intrigued. Hey, would he look good with pink hair too? That’s a hard one. He never ever did anything to his hair, just plain boring normal hair, at best trimming it a little and at worse going back to his high school cut just because meh. But Yixuan guaranteed he had the hands and ability to make pink hair happen.
“Hey Yi” Minseok called sitting on the bed, staring at the hand mirror. “You are positive this is not gonna fry my brain right?”
Oh was Yixuan ready for this one. “I got it all under control!” He reassured Minseok as he tapped on the plastic around the other’s head.
“And don’t worry, all this stuff is vegan friendly, no animal testing and no animal products in any of these dyes!” He added, of course Yixuan always thought about the animals.
Okay, so maybe Yixuan was only dying Minseok’s hair pink because it’d make him look more like that cute boyband member he had had his eyes on for the past couple of months, but he did think pink would suit Minseok very well. Pink suited everyone. “You’re gonna look sooooooo cool,” He could see it now, both of them walking down the street with their cool pink hair, what a sight! Definitely #squadgoals.

I'm perfectly content with my eating habits, and I'd die without beef intestine soup, so I'll pass on reading that book. The treatment must be horrid but at least their deaths have a purpose when we eat and enjoy them. I'm an optimist, after all. I like to look at the bright side of things and focus on the good outcomes instead of dwelling on the negativity. I'm sure not all meat places are horrible anyway.
I am a very conscious consumer so I will not buy or eat anything if I don’t know where it comes from. I always support local business and artists too!
I respect your decision to continue to consume meat, but I will not partake in any of it.
And not all meat places are horrible, but how do you know where your meat comes from? Maybe you should do research on the things you buy and the companies you support when you buy from them.
