my parents really wanted to have three kids but my mom ended up having a miscarriage six months into her third pregnancy. my mother has a colder personality than my father but she’s the more overprotective and nurturing parent, ironically. and three, my father was married to someone else before he married my mom.

Jasmine: What is your most prized possession?

probably this necklace my maternal grandfather gave me when i was a girl. honestly it’s the most expensive thing i own and i have it hidden in my apartment for security reasons, but growing up i was really close to him and he ended up passing away from cancer a little after he gave it to me so it means a lot. i don’t wear it very often but it’s very near to my heart.

Oxlip: Would you ever get into a long distance relationship?

if i truly felt an emotional connection with that person i don’t see why not. we’re in the 21st century, distance is hardly anything if what we have together is real.

It isn't a rare thing to see Sungjae in the library studying. Some people might wonder why would he be there so late at night, though, or why did he even study that much—always sounding like his major is much easier than other ones, enough not to have to put some effort.

He, however, disagrees. Studying music isn't easy—it might be pleasant, you must be into it, but not easy. Not to say Jae likes to read about the history of music and such things.

But, being till 3am in the library is something new. He didn't even know this was allowed, yet there he is now, still with a pile of books and music sheets all around him. There aren't many students around there—in fact, he suspects there are only him and this other guy in a desk not so far from him.

Desperate times, he supposes.

He is tired, his brain hurts, he is almost sure he forgot to do something that day considering his worries to get to sit and study for that final, and—in all honest—he isn't sure about what is real or not.

So, when a noise reaches his ears, Jae quickly lifts his head and looks straight at the guy on the other desk. "What was that?" He mutters, raising his eyebrows. "It was you, right? Did you drop something?"
