Lemme explain myself.
So I've been running Tabletop games for years now, and one of my newest TTRPGs -run on roll20- has hit a bit of a disaster. I don't want to talk about it, but I designed the game for 4 players, and we lost one of the players, putting the game on hold.
Following that, attempts to get a new player have been... Dicey to say the least. At this point most options have been exhausted and in an attempt to fill the empty spot, I am reaching out to my mutuals on this tumblr sideblog.
"But Zichi" I hear you ask, "Why are you asking this on your Pokémon sideblog? If you want someone to join your dungeons and dragons game, why not do it on your fantasy blog @themagesmiscellanea?"
A good question, my intquisitive follower, for you see...
It's a Pokémon Tabletop game.
I found this system called "Pokémon Tabletop United" a while back, and recently went all-in on running a game using the rules. So yes, my fellow fans of Pokémon, this is relevent to you all.
But before an estimated -3 of you line up to ask about this rare opportunity, there are a couple of things you need to consider.
Because I am British (put away the holy water) my time zone is very different to most you yanks. Before it went on hiatus, I ran the game on Tuesdays at 7pm GMT. Due to other commitments, I'm unlikely to be able to run on Weekends, and I cannot run any earlier because I have a job, but I could potentially run any other weekday, depending on what the other 3 players can manage.
PTU is a flawed system (just the best system I've found so far), and to make it work, I've either written some homebrew rulings (far too many tbh) or I've taken a relaxed attitude towards oversights ands the like. I know some people hate this loosey-goosey ruling, so it's a fair warning in advance.
Roll20 is a flawed system (and there are better systems I'm sure), but I've spent a lot of time and money on many features and resources on it, so for me as a DM, it's definitely easier than whatever flawless website you've found.
That said, I primarily operate voice chat via discord, not Roll20. Even I have to draw the line somewhere.
Knowledge of this blog's history is absolutely not required to understand the plot of my game (and in some cases can be detrimental due to retcons and 'oh wait I said something different 7 years ago', but there will be shout-outs, nudge-and-winks and maybe some cameos from this blog.
Wayfaringtrainers and the like is canon to the PTU game though, and if you're very particular about timelines, it takes place roughly 20 years in this blog's future.
So immediately after posting this, I will be in bed/going to bed, but if you are interested at all, drop my a message on here or discord and we can talk more details that may be relevant, and if things sound good I'll toss you the Discord Link. And like I mentioned, there is one slot open, although tbh I'd be impressed if I got one interested person.

There's a guy, busking on the side of the street. What song is he playing? You're not quite sure, it's familiar but distant. A song you've heard in passing but never really focused on.
He's a good enough musician you suppose, enough to justify the mild change in the guitar case. Were he a fantastic musician you suppose some agent would have snapped him up, but for now he humbly plays for the passing masses of the street.
What is this young man's story? Why does he choose to play his music here? What is he truly getting and what is he giving? Meaningless questions in a busy world. Whenever you turn a corner and continue on your business and your destination, the busker remains a fleeting memory of the past.
As more pressing, more exciting, more passionate experiences and encounters in life come and go, the memory of the busker and his melody will -over time- be pushed out and replaced by milestones, celebrations, tragedies and regrets.
And a month, a year, a decade from now; there will be a guy busking on the side of the street. And he'll play a familiar melody, a song you've heard in passing but never really focused on.
Due to boredom, a difficulty in focusing and just a general moment, I filled out this video game meme I found somewhere and cannot recall where it came from.
... ... I'm gonna be honest, I genuinely thought there would be more fire emblem than there was.
But I stand by the Trails Franchise getting half of the "good" places, don't @ me.
desssssperately wish i didn't have my grandfather's "you're going to be fucking bald in your mid-30s" gene because my hairline is getting to be Not Great and it kinda extremely sucks when you've preferred longer more feminine hairstyles your entire life
