Tim Burton is a pussy for not making Lydia be a freaky unsettling problematic goth girl who marries the rotting smelly lunatic who tried to rizz her up when she was a teenager. Or yk. By just making Rory a normal non twist villain. Or by giving her no love interest at all. Any 3 of those would be great actually.

It shocks me that Burton, Keaton Douglas, and Ryder all have always been very into the idea of Lydia and Beetlejuice becoming a couple and this sequel exist partially in spite of the musical and yet again we just get BJ as a person Lydia hates despite always being the only character she ever has chemistry with

And considering we are in an era of monster fucking in stories it’s weird the movie fully avoids committing to that also i just hate the concept of wife and mother Lydia it is very not her
