I always have so many thoughts and feeling I wanna share when it comes to appreciating someone and their work then when I actually sit down to write it all my thoughts turn to mush SOB. I absolutely adoreee Act To Flirt and while I'm a bit sad to learn about it 6 years after release I'm still glad I found out about it! My favorite route has got to be Heartbreak, I always liked the idea of bonding with the vessels and I love Willo and Chara so much. The whole game made me feel so giddy omg 1/2

Don't fret about finding it 6 years after its release!! Honestly, you found it in what I'd consider to be its best form ^^

I'm so happy to hear how much you enjoyed the game though, aaa it really means a lot!! I'm happy you enjoyed Heartbreak so much, too, since that one I struggled the most with writing. Means so much to me to know how much you enjoyed it!!

Hi, I may be being dumb, but I'm playing act to flirt and i'm on the Sans date bit in Waterfall. I'm at a section where he asks why i keep coming back. In every playthrough I've looked at, people type 'i like it here' and it gives dialogue. but whenever i do it he just says it is fuzzy and idk why :(

Those playthroughs are likely for the older versions of the game! In 6.0, the system was updated to respond to keywords rather than specific phrases, so some of the answers from old guides folks have made may not work. I coulda sworn that phrase would've worked, but I might be thinking of the wrong part.

I'm currently still working on a guide for 6.0 (it has taken a backseat in favor of finishing I Love TV! first), but for now, try answering something pertaining to the people within the Underground itself!

hey there!! i was replaying Act to flirt, and i trying to do sans' route! i keep getting to the end of the main route (ive done regular and true pacifist?) for some reason sans hates me? his route is locked, and he keeps calling when i pick nobody in true pacifist saying i can go on a date with him, but when i talk to him at his sentry post in snowdin, he doesn't talk about going on the date. when I do all his dialogue and ask to go on a date, he seems super angry? i tried doing a true reset too

Huh. You know, I'm kinda stumped on this one, because someone earlier today said they could access the route and I know I was able to access it fine when I playtested it myself. The only advice I can offer is to fully wipe all your saves manually (which, there's a tutorial in the Act to Flirt FAQ. It technically pertains to older versions but is useful in this case as well.)

Normally, a True Reset is supposed to do exactly that, and honestly I am uncertain how you're getting to a point where it unlocks his route but then he's angry... That's typically not available unless you did Heartbreak? And even then, he's not supposed to call lol and even, even then-- if you did a True Reset, that SHOULD be wiping his opinion of you away. So I'm super confused as to what the game's doing here 🤣

Heyaa! Currently redoing sans' route... nobody's surprised here..... but i had a question about something that happened which was so hilarious to me for some reason?? (no worries i'm p sure its not a bug,,)

so, i'm with him at grillby's right now, and i asked him what he did during timeloops and such which causd him to THEN ask me what i did, yadda yadda.

and from how many times i've played and no matter what i said he always answered he couldn't hear, so i always just type whatever makes me giggle,,

SO. i end up typing something along the lines of- ''oh no yeah i just kill myself or something idk'' AND???? HE ABSOLUTELY HATED THAT LMFAO IT CAUGHT ME OFF GUARD??

i didnt even know there were some key words that triggered events like that! is there more lol?

LMAO Yes!! The Sans route was changed to now spot keywords in the string you type, rather than only accepting a specific string. (That was the concept I had from the beginning, but I programmed it wrong and got really confused how to fix it. Turns out I just had to, essentially, reverse the order of the line of code...)

But! Anyway. He didn't like the word "kill" that you said, specifically. There's always been negative responses, but I don't know that most people found them in prior versions because they were really specific if not mean phrases half the time. I changed some of them (and some of them were made more accessible, like how you found this one in this manner.)

Basically, if you manage to get all of those negative responses (I believe, actually, now that I was reminded of this; I might have forgotten to rebalance it in the new version? So I might have to check that when I fix the couple of bugs that were in 6.0) it's just another way to re-lock Sans's Route, since he decides he does not care about you.

I've been working on making a guide that focuses on successfully beating all the dates/routes (currently it's taken a backseat to ILTV development) but this does make me wonder if I should make a "failure" guide or flowchart of some kind in the future, as well.

Small Devlog Update!

I hope you guys enjoyed the "Where's Tenna?" sidecomic!!

In case the inclusion of it didn't make sense-- the aforementioned optional Secret Date... might pertain to the comic. :)

I was trying to figure out ways to announce the different aspects of ILTV in a way that would be more interesting than just listing the characters who'll show up in this "mystery Dark World." There's still one more I haven't announced yet, but that will come soon. That aspect of the story is a little more relevant to the overall narrative, since as I've mentioned before, the [Weird] Route will be a required aspect of the story instead of a separate one. Think of how Act to Flirt requires you to go on a date everyone before you can choose an ending!

As an extra bonus, I have a small devlog update... 🔷📺💗

The game is ALMOST complete! The majority of what needs to be done is putting in final assets where there are none and finishing writing the 4 parts that are currently mostly-but-not-completely written. I've already had a family member do some playtesting and am hoping to have 2 other friends playtest it once the writing is completely implemented before I call it ready to ship.

I've been real slow getting this last chunk put together, but I'm determined to finish it!! I've made it this far, and I rarely finish projects, so I want to see it completed.

Since he's also announced for the game at this point... allow me to show off some of the Small Mike sprites I made months ago!

This was genuinely the first time I'd ever drawn Small Mike, so it actually was a total pain to figure out how I wanted to do it. Trying to figure out how to make his hair look like both hair and microphone lines when up-scaled was difficult... If only I'd waited to reference the Mike Check t-shirt that I had no idea was going to release.

Also, although there are three options available in I Love TV! -- between Tenna's Route, [Weird] Route, and the Secret Date -- you may find that you will not be limited to choose only one of them at the end of the game, if you manage to win over multiple of them (or all of them!) :D

I'm excited to announce the final character and release the rest of the game... I hope you guys are too, honestly.
