Man, I feel like ranting a little bit. Stallet.se (mydreamstable.com) is in the process of changing a lot of their photo rules to make sure to reduce the use of stolen pictures. Which is a fantastic thing that I absolutely think that they should do. Unfortunately, this has made things a little difficult for me at the moment as I’m struggling to please their rules when putting up my own pictures. Sure, I am absolutely prepared to bend over backwards just to follow their rules, since I can prove that my photos are mine and of course wants people to know that they are mine and I want to support what they’re trying to do with this. However, it seems their rules are a bit fuzzy to me. For some reason, I keep getting it wrong and they tell me to read the rules that I’ve read over and over. It seems they think I have a little identity crisis considering I use a nickname as a signature instead of my real name. I got the impression, however, that that wasn’t entirely allowed and tried instead using my real name, which caused more confusion since that’s not what I call myself. (However, in the description of who I am on my profile, I do write my real name. So it’s there for people to see if they did a little research) I wouldn’t have much problem with all the confusion going on, had it not affected the people who have previously bought horses from me. What pissed me off a little bit, is that they’ve removed pictures that were uploaded before these rules were a thing. Which has caused some problems. For example, I now have to replace all the pictures of my own horses and the horses I’ve sold to other people since they’ve contacted me about it. Luckily, I think I still have those pictures lying around... I did however lose a picture of my rabbit that I don’t have anymore... which is a goddamn shame because that rabbit is dead. I also now have a bunch of horses that I’ve bought that no longer have pictures. I can’t replace a lot of these too because the stables I bought them from are no longer active... So I hope you can understand my frustration.. at least a little bit. What am I supposed to do with these horses?.. I really wish that they wouldn’t have gone digging in the old and instead focused on all the new pictures getting uploaded because this whole situation is kind of annoying... But again, I fully support what they’re trying to do.. I just wish they’d let old things lie. Because restoring all of this is a lot of work that I hope I can fix, but I’m not entirely sure yet until I’ve found all the pictures.Â
Sweet little Blondie
I’ve started an internship at a stable that trains western horses. A lot of beautiful horses come and go and I want to photograph all of them. Sadly I don’t always have time since a lot of them are only out during the day and I basically only have some free time after work. Which sucks. Specially because one of them is amazingly gorgeous. She’s however almost never outside. I worked this weekend there and since it was just me I was planning on taking my camera. She was out today as well.. but of course.. it’s been shitty weather all weekend... So I haven’t been able to take any pictures anyways. It’s funny how this is the time where I’m the most surrounded by horses but it’s also the time when I take the least amount of photos of them..I used to travel around riding schools and such to get photos of horses and now I know a lot of gorgeous horses and I’m not able to photograph them. The pictures I do take are usually photos taken because they’re for sale. Which I mean, that’s nice too.. but I prefer photographing horses either in action or roaming freely. There is a Welsh Cob stallion she wanted me to photograph while she rode him. I hope she still wants that. He’s gorgeous.
