Zoe didn’t say anything right away; she’d only just opened her eyes, and sat up to stretch. In fact she’d almost forgotten that Dagny was there until the blonde spoke up, and she looked over a bare shoulder at her. “Everyone has their little flaws. Even me, as hard to believe as it might be.” She stood then, not caring much for her nudity as she searched for a clean face cloth and hairbrush in the mess that her dressing table had become -- it was usually neatly arranged and spotless, but neither she not Dagny had been careful when they arrived back the night before. “You move a lot in your sleep -- you nearly rolled on top of me in the middle of the night. I thought you were not-so-subtly trying to go at it again until I realized you were still snoring.”

(Dagny) "See? Dagny did not die - ...Why is Zoe looking at Dagny like this?"

Zoe stood with her arms folded, a frown on her face as she bit the inside of her cheek to stop from smiling. As much as she loved Dagny she was angry that her girlfriend had gone to fight after she’d told her she didn’t want her to -- but oddly turned on after watching anyway. Seeing Dagny fight always made her worry, and now more than ever she was scared of her girlfriend getting hurt, or going up against the wrong person. But she was good. There was no denying that. Zoe never minded watching anyone else in the arena, and only felt a little sick when someone was killed in a brutal, bloody sort of way. But watching Dagny was a completely different deal. Every time a sharp edge went too close or the blonde seemed to falter she wanted to jump down and join the fight herself. “You didn’t die, but if you do that again it’s not gonna be the person in the arena that you’ll have to worry about.” She tapped her foot, sighing as she let her folded arms drop, and walked towards her girlfriend. “I just worry about you.” Zoe reached out, hooking her fingers with Dagny’s and finally letting a smile spill across her face. “And now I’m turned on, so we’re gonna have to go do something about that. Before I get too mad at you again.”

“I know it’s weird lookin’, right? I ain’t even looked it straight in the eye… Just to be safe.” Lia said with a nervous laugh (she’d seen the Conjuring and wasn’t taking any chances), shaking her head at the prop on the ground. Truth be told, she wasn’t much of a Halloween person – at least not the scary parts but costumes and dressing up were kind of her thing. She still hadn’t even narrowed down which of the five costumes she wanted wear for the dance since she’d been so busy organizing it not to mention she hadn’t even drawn up ideas for a back-up costume. “What’re you goin’ as?” Lia asked, mainly out of curiosity but also to make sure no one else would have the same costume as her. “Yeah,” She nodded, “But I’m not on haunted house duty – gives me the heebie jeebies.”

Zoe eyed Lia then, almost wanting to make some kind of comment about what she said but eventually decided it would be too easy, and nodded instead. It was odd that the two of them didn’t talk more, considering they shared a lot of interests -- or at least they did from what Zoe could tell about her. Then again she spent most of her time with Dagny and didn’t spent that much time trying to make friends with other people, similar interests or not. “I’m not sure yet. I had a couple of options for me and Dagny but I think the winner right now is zombie Tarzan and Jane. What about you? Something scary or something normal?” Zoe remembered the last year when she had gone to the Halloween dance as Sally from The Nightmare Before Christmas, and someone else had had the same idea. It had only taken five minutes for Zoe to convince (force) the other person to go and change. “Good call. Just decorating then? The committee asked me to help but they roped me into it last year and didn’t listen to anything I told them, because they’re all fucking idiots. Who puts blue and orange together? Sure it was horrifying to look at but not even in the scary Halloween way. Just the ‘this was a really stupid idea’ way.”
