Words cannot truly sum up how much seeing these lads lift the Premier League trophy has made me feel.

I have a 30+ year love affair with Arsenal. Previous partners have never understood this love, "it's just a silly football team". I joked for years about how abusive supporting Arsenal has been, but a day like this makes it all worth it. I legit had tears in my eyes on Tuesday, and I did again today watching this game. Winning the Champions League next Saturday will be the icing on the cake, but for now, I will enjoy just seeing these lads lifting the trophy over and over again, and looking at a gleaming Ian Wright who stood by like a proud father.

Bit of a rant here.

When I was a kid, in European football, if you played away in the first leg, got the important 'away goal', won, then went back to your ground and grinded out a draw you were applauded for handling the tie and progressing. Now, all of a sudden, because Arsenal didn't play attacking football against Sporting Lisbon, it was boring and anti-football? The fuck happened? Barcelona/Atletico and Bayern/Real were exciting games because the teams in the return league scored and tied up the games, did people really expect Arsenal to have an open goal and let Sporting score just so it would be "exciting"?

Now people come out of the woodwork and disparage English football, and it's like, mate, there are more league winners in the Premier League this season than LaLiga has had in 97 years (for anyone who cares LaLiga has had 9 different winners in its history, English top flight since 1888 has had 24, 14 of which are still in the top flight this season). Arsenal has played more games than the other three teams in the semi-finals so far. Heck, Wrexham in the Championship has played more games than PSG and Bayern so far this season

And just to knock the point home, right now, Arsenal's goals conceded in the Champions League is only 5. No other team left is still in single digits with that stat, and they still haven't lost a game in the competition, and while it doesn't mean much, 2 of the 3 teams remaining have been beaten by Arsenal in the competition already this season.

Took me just over 8 hours of a casual playthrough (picking up all the files and such along the way) to finish Resident Evil: Requiem, and I enjoyed every second of it. I'll be honest, it wasn't scary. I'm someone who gets scared easily, and it didn't have that impact on me, except for one moment. And it was more out of 'I couldn't believe Capcom pulled it off' if anything. I'm gonna go in for my second run now, but I suggest folks experience it.

Seeing that, Xavi Alonso got sacked, I said to my brother when he got the Real Madrid job that he wouldn't last. He did something incredible with Bayer Leverkusen. He should have stayed there a couple more years, but I felt he was way too eager to jump into the big job. Sometimes, like they say, the grass isn't greener on the other side.
