60 years ago the future looked like this Chevrolet Turbo Titan III, 1965. A concept truck with a gas turbine drivetrain controlled by the GM designed and engineered "dial steering system." Twin dials mounted on a padded vinyl panel operated the power steering.

Suzuki Mighty Boy, 1983. A pick-up based on the second generation Cervo kei coupé that is the only example of a 3-box kei-sized pick-up (all other kei pick-ups use a cab over configuration). It was classified as a commercial vehicle in Japan so as to benefit from lower taxes but its utility was retricted by a bed that was 600mm (24 in) in length. It was powered by a 543cc 3 cylinder engine. It remained in production until 1988 but when the third generation Cervo was introduced the Might Boy was dropped and not replaced. In addition to the Japanese market it was exported to Australia and Cyprus between 1985 and 1988.
