Yao looks at the paper in his hands, this was getting to be a theme with her wasn’t it? Able to express her feelings through letters more then words. He didn’t mind in the slightest. Even if he had perhaps found this one a bit late? Yao had no idea how long this had been sitting on the table near his bed. 

He folds the paper up carefully, something he would keep, making a mental note to let Natalya know she didn’t owe him anything.

She half-smiles at the feeling of someone holding her so carefully as her eyes close instinctively. It was only one of the few things she’s experienced only with him, and she’s happy that it happened this way. “That was my first kiss, you know,” Natalya whispers; it wasn’t often that people stuck with her, as it was easy to get tired of her.

It was rather surprising that that was her first kiss. China blinked a few times, unsure if he should feel a bit guilty about taking it. She didn’t seem to be too upset about it however, so he calmed himself. Yao pulls his face away a few inches, hand still on her cheek. 

“I didn’t know that.” he tells her, though he was sure she didn’t mind. Was he supposed to move? Because he just let Belarus stay in his lap. “Would you like something to drink?...”

“Alright–” He paused, looking slightly lost for a moment as he tried to remember. Alas, no dice. “I’m sorry, I’ve forgotten how you take your tea. Any preference?” He didn’t want to just hand Yao a cup of black tea with honey since people from outside his territories seemed, on the average, to be rather… opposed to terribly sweet tea.

“I take my tea plain.” no additives at all. Ivan should at least know that milk was a definite no-no. “Other then that I don’t mind the kind.” Leave it at that even though Yao could, at times, tend to be a very picky person when it came to any sort of food or drink.

Dear Yao, as much as I would like to spend time here with you, I... cannot stay. It is not permissible. I must leave and return to my home, but I hope that you will always cherish the time we have spent together. I know I will.

What was this? He grabs the piece of paper sticking out from behind the table. Strange.. he’d never seen this before, let alone read it. He gives it a quick once over before deciding it no longer mattered. He crumples it up, discarding it.

She waits for a few seconds before wrapping her own arms around him. It was warm – both literally and figuratively, and Natalya knows that it’s something she would love. Natalya smiles with contentment; it was more than enough, that simple hug that she was given. 

It was silent for a while, before she decides to place her chin on his shoulder, placing a light kiss on his cheek quickly.

As she wraps her arms around him as well he adjusts the way her held her. This was nice. Yao enjoyed this. a bit of heat went to his cheeks as she pressed her lips to his cheek. Though he still acted on it, putting hand on her cheek, moving her face the smallest bit.

He pauses a brief moment before leaning to press a kiss on her lips.

" Yao!! You're dating Belarus now, aren't you? Come on, we need to party!! "

“Mei please-”

" Yao... are you dating Belarus now?? "

“Why is the love life of your big brother such a concern for you?”

“What?!” he is surprised for a moment before stopping, and taking a breath. “I’ll be right back, Mei.”

Ah – she was surprised, although his words were distances apart from being undesirable. If anything, they were of a wonderful nature and she decides that this opportunity will not go past her; she had made too many mistakes to add another.

“I should be asking you,” she says, with one of the rare smiles that manage to slip past her. “But yes, yes, I would be more than glad, if that were to happen.” 

Were her words too vague, or too blunt? The first wave of self-consciousness hits her, but it was something she was willing to ignore for this.

She had said yes. Agreeing that she would, in fact, want to date him. Yao was happy, it had been forever since he had done this sort of thing, but he knew he was happy. He missed this feeling. There was no response to her saying she should be the one asking him, or even to her agreement. Yao was done with words for now. He leans forward, pulling the woman into his arms. It felt good to fond someone like this...

Her pen glides across the tainted paper with practiced strokes, quick and concise, with brief words.

‘I’m not good with words at all, but I hope you understand; your words surprised me, but of course, in the best way.

I’ve liked you since, well, I don’t know; all I know is that somehow, you got me hooked. And I can never do anything to force you, like what I did with big brother.

And then she slides the paper across to him, burying her face in her hands.

As she slides the paper to him he gives her a quick glance, nervous, she wasn’t even bothering to hide it. Understandable. They both seemed to be, what a joke. They were both adults reacting to this like he smallest of children. 

He takes the paper, reading it carefully. Afterward he folds it up and places it in his pocket, hoping she would not mind if he kept this.

“I see.” he nods, smiling now, letting a small pause pass before speaking once more.

“So. Does that mean you would be willing to go on a date?” how cheesy.
