[You're minding your own business, going on about your day, until suddenly you feel a slight rumble. By now you're slightly used to them, as they've been going on at random for the past days, sometimes getting stronger. But this one is different.]
[It starts the same, a rough shake around the ground, but it keeps getting stronger. The walls and floors seem to be shaking alike, throwing you to the ground because of the rough movements around you. Even the sky seems to be roaring.]
[It's impossible to stand up now, every time you try it just brings you to the ground again, it's like if air around you was also shaking. the feeling was unbearable. and things didn't seem to stop at all.]
[Unknown to many, around Sunset City, a red glitch begins to gather around the sky. It shaped itself like a web of light concentrating in a middle point around the crater in the center of the city.]
[Suddenly the shaking began to rise in potency, as the light collapses and explodes into a bolt of red lightning striking the center of the crater.]
[And then everything returned to normal. an eerie silence following the chaos, not even birds daring to chirp again after everything that just took place]
*Zonic is now upside-down on the ground*
[Warning: unknown seismic(?) activity detected.]
O.o
*Then, slowly, he gets to his feet*
...Alright. That happened.
*He looks slightly shaken, but manages to keep his composure.*
Now, I should try to find out what it was, and WHY it happened.
would you rather return to your life before this universe was created? would you rather erase all the pain youve experienced, even if it erased with it all your newfound joy?
...
It's...admittedly not too hard a choice...
Going back to before this would only mean I'd end up erased, after alll.
[Infinite wanted to know what was happening, he wanted to help Zonic but he was not recieving any information of him asides from what his body language told him]
[And then he got a smell, a specific smell he is very familiarized with, Zonic reeked with stress and fear and confusion.]
[That was the thing that forced Infinite to act instead of thinking for more time, he rushed towards Zonic, picked the blue hedgehog up and hugged him.
The phantom ruby's "breath" acted almost like a soft purring sound]
(Zonic freezes for a second at the sudden contact, but the hum of the ruby is...comforting, and he manages to relax slightly.)
(He's still visibly frightened, though, and is struggling to speak, but eventually manages to collect himself to actually say something relating to WHY he's so panicked.)

Perhaps it's simply an effect of the reset, making your mind less aware of changes yet being able to notice if it gets your attention? I'm not completely certain.
