WHATS UP friends!!! There's a new episode up!
This week we hear from Fuzzy Proxy, listen to some Chipped Tunes, and talk, among other things, about their netlabel: Out and Loud Records.
Hey friends!
we have a thing we're thinking about doing (but might not, depending on logistics) and as part of the prelim research for this maybe-project, we have a question for you!
what are your favorite charities that
1: support youth (12-23, tho younger is also fine)
who are ALSO
1a: lgbtqia+
AND/OR
1b: mentally ill.
AND which
2: do not need to be based in or serve the united states
3: can be local, regional, or broader in scope
4: are highly rated on charitynavigator, equivalent regional watchdog service, or when viewed through a matrix similar to the ones charity watchdogs use.
5: we are open to crisis hotlines but would prefer charities which offer direct, in person support, be it respite services, food, showers, free/vastly reduced price clinics (physical as well as mental health) or similar, or which put affected youth into contact with such resources in their community. We recognise that not all people live in areas where this kind of support is common or easily accessed, so we are especially interested in organizations that seek to support youth in rural or underserved areas.
Please spread this around! at this point the worst case scenario is we (and anyone reading the notes) find out about a bunch of cool new charities to support, which seems like a win to us 👍
Steve has been a friend of the show from since way back when we still thought it might be a radio station. He made our logo, in fact! He's w
