Healing isn’t a linear progress. Time passed does not relate to how much your heart has healed. The process of healing is more like the green waves on heart monitors in hospitals. Some days are good. Some days are not. People often say, ‘someday you will be fine.’ I think ‘some days you will be fine; is a more realistic goal. Some days I’ll feel like the strings connecting us have snapped. Other days I can feel them growing back.

This picture is just lovely; the little girl with her basket feeding the chickens. I am reminded of my childhood when we had chickens and pigs in our garden.

Black Beauty 🐴 went to the mountain 🏔 for a breath of fresh air 🌬. I said I'd join the internet reading tradition #victober where you read works of literature from the Victorian period (1837-1901) during the month of October 🍁and I read #BlackBeauty by #AnnaSewell 👩 which was first published in 1877. My father loved ❤ horses very much and I've seen him stand in awe at Chite lui when a herd of horses galloped across the river. He watched them till they were out of sight and a while later appeared this well-groomed dark 🖤 one, trotting along its master with silky mane breezing through the clean air and legs buckled in strength reigning over the loamy soil, handsome as handsome can be. I heard him mouthed, 'A va mawi e,' as it passed us and briefly acquainted me of the stories he used to read: of cowboys 🤠 and hats, pistols 🔫 and horses. My summer starts now and I am excited. Praying is healing. Surrendering to God is liberating. I am grateful and happy right now. I feel like a huge burden has been lifted off of me. I am so happy. Playing bass and red midi look too cool on you. I loved it. I love your voice. Muriel, oh how I wish my best friend @pucchimaow could see you play, unleashing your soul in the most symphonious way. She plays it too and she's gonna be floored by your performance. I was! Kian, you've got such a strong voice that is simply right. Unbelievable. Jermaine, such a lively soul. The powerhouse of the band? You don't know how adorable you are from the other side. Lily, so calm and collected. When that keyboard solo came, I was like, 'Who's that?' I was completely glued to you. I wish it had been longer. Red, if only I could see you from where I was sitting. Thank God Jermaine introduced the members! 😥 (at Purana Qila)

Current read: The classic HEIDI by the Swiss authoress Johanna Spyri. I have watched a series of the cartoon adaptation and have read the illustrated versions but I've always wanted to read the original version. Luckily the 19th Delhi Book Fair granted me my ignoble wish. So contented to have seen and bought it. #JaicoClassics #PleasantRead
