Black Beauty 🐴 went to the mountain 🏔 for a breath of fresh air 🌬. I said I'd join the internet reading tradition #victober where you read works of literature from the Victorian period (1837-1901) during the month of October 🍁and I read #BlackBeauty by #AnnaSewell 👩 which was first published in 1877. My father loved ❤ horses very much and I've seen him stand in awe at Chite lui when a herd of horses galloped across the river. He watched them till they were out of sight and a while later appeared this well-groomed dark 🖤 one, trotting along its master with silky mane breezing through the clean air and legs buckled in strength reigning over the loamy soil, handsome as handsome can be. I heard him mouthed, 'A va mawi e,' as it passed us and briefly acquainted me of the stories he used to read: of cowboys 🤠 and hats, pistols 🔫 and horses.
