First things first, when it comes down to it, over thinking is a form of both negative thoughts and anxiety. Your brain is moving a million miles a minute. You’re thinking of every possible outcome, some of them ending in your death by fantastical causes. We’ve all been there. Here are some things you can do to help manage this
Take things one step at a time
Write down the things you need to do one by one to achieve the end goal you want. Be as vague or specific as you want.
Say this to yourself: This is going to be okay, I am going to be okay, I can hekkin do this yo
If the thing that is making you overthink is overwhelming, attack it in little chunks, maybe switching back and forth between another thing. An elephant is eaten one bite at a time.
If you’re overthinking about yourself, remember people aren’t looking at you as much as you think. If you don’t believe me, try and remember the last time you saw someone randomly and started thinking the nasty things you’re afraid other people are going to think of you
Remember that no one even can end the world, so even if this one thing falls through, you can feel bad about it for a while then move on to the next obstacle (and so life goes on)
