Video Mapping Workshop/3
it was all about the new program for me, we’ve learned how to create the video sequence for projection, and how to prepare files for the projections.
Speculative Design Workshop/2
during this two workshop sessions, we explored what it the speculative design and made an exercises/
on the first day, we were separated into groups and had to create two groups of words which were related to speculative design and graphic design which is mostly traditional I would say. Then we played a game with words and creating the stories. I think we had the most brutal and sad stories. then we’ve got the task to collect pictures, materials from one chosen area and bring up everything for the next day. our chosen area was a fair at JZP, and the final idea was to create the video in which we showed the way pigeons see this place and explore them. we made a research and found out in which colors birds see this world+ we decided to simulate the way they see 360 degree and hear, so I made even sound between 1khz and 4 khz

Illustration Challenge pt.1 Week.1. On Wednesday we’ve started an illustration challenge with Franco. For this workshop, we’ve been asked to bring paper, colors, everything with what we can work and also magazines, an old books, and newspapers. During the workshop, we had a chance to discuss an interesting topic about illustration and what is the difference between illustrations and the paintings? Why the illustrations are one below to the paintings? After all discussions, we’ve been introduced to the challenge. We had to find the magazines/newspapers sentence which we mostly like and based on that create an illustration. But in this part of the challenge, we didn’t have to think a lot about the concept. The whole idea was to illustrate everything as an example for small kids and to draw it as fast as it’s possible. Of course, in the beginning, the whole group was a little bit confused, because what we did wasn’t an inappropriate way of this challenge. But then, after few examples from Franco and few exercises, everything became clear for us. The home task was to create 5 illustrations for the different sentences/headlines from newspapers, books or magazines. Illustration Challenge pt.2 Week .2. The second session of the illustration challenge was more for thinking, less for just making an illustration. We chose any amount of illustrations we made for this week as a task and then started to scan them (what was problematic as usual with PC printers and internet). After scanning we had to analyze the illustrations and create one concept which could fit all of them. It was more about right composition and picture overall. Here are results. The chosen illustrations were mostly created on a newspaper with simple lines which represented different silhouettes (depending on headlines I used). One of the chosen illustrations I had was a collage with a screenshot of a frame from movie " Loveless " by Andrei Zvyagintsev. I've got an idea that I can use the same conception for another 2 chosen works I made. But I didn't want to use random pictures for that. Each headline somehow came up nicely with ideas for two other Russian movies. For " The Triumph of Good Illusion " I chose a frame from Tarkovsky's " Mirror " movie. For the " Time Your Own Square " illustration I used a screenshot from " Closed Spaces " by Igor Lebedev.Â
User Experience Workshop On week 3 and 4 we had a User Experience Workshop. We were separated into a group of max 5 people and started to think about the problems of public transportation in Prague. We summed up what kind of issues we faced for the first time after moving into Prague. Made a list of questions and came up with the concept focused more on how convenient the public transportation in Prague. We went out with our team and started to interview the tourists. Some of us used to take a note of how people reacted etc. Some of us interviewed, Milosh took selfies and I was recording the answers on my phone. That was kind of hard but we made it really fun for ourselves, so it wasn't so much stressful to talk to people we don't even know.
Then, on week 4 we interviewed 2 local people and then started to collect the answers and based on that we made a system on the wall and after that, we realized on which issue we should focus more. And after we made a design solution.Â

Final Show. week 1
We had a class which was considered in our final show identity. We were separated into LPC groups and had to create 3 concepts for the show. Here are the concepts from our group.
On Wednesday, again we had a class for the final show identity. After voting on Tuesday we decided to go with the “Mixed Up” concept. But! We faced a huge problem. Since this concept was based on food mixing it took a lot of time for us to finalize the concept so it will be easy for us in 1 hour create the visuals for it. After all struggles, we’ve decided to discuss everything with Ondrej, after that, he helped us to generate the final idea. We kept the Mixed-Up concept, but totally changed the idea of the visualization. Ondrej suggested us to Mix Up the faces of the students. So we did it. Here are the visuals.

Proposal:
Music video
My chosen idea for the final project was to create a music video which will represent the full spectrum of feelings and associations for the song.In my thesis, I studied in details how we feel the music in a context of music video making. The essential point of this work was to deeply understand the value of how people and primally music video makers understand properly the music, by creating right visuals based on feelings and associations for the songs.I have already a song on which I will create the visuals, the music is written by my friend, so he has the role of the client.Music Video which is based on my own feelings about the SongIn this case the whole supportive visuals for the song will be based on my own feelings and associations. Of course, everything will be discussed with the client, the storyboard, and the whole script.

After discussions on Tuesday, I’ve generated one more idea for the FGP class. Here are my first 2 brief drafts of the FGP. Brief 1 Project Title
 Feeling of the sound Client

 I’m the client
Introduction

Since Prague College gave us the opportunity to try ourselves in different areas in graphic design after all experimentations I realized that working on animation and videos is the one area where I can prove myself and feel most confident.

Before this year I used to work on promotional videos/ animations but never had a chance to create something that I was really interested in. So I found the final year as a chance to work on something that could help me to show what I can do as an artist and video maker. My portfolio mostly includes illustrations, editorial and even CID’s, but  I didn’t have a lot of projects as an example of my video making skills, so this is a good opportunity to have one.

As the topic for my thesis work for this year was considered on the perception of the music and how it could be visualized in a graphical way, my two briefs will directly be related to this area.

 Project/s Background
In this case, I’m the client.
Music plays a huge role not only in my daily life, it also influences me in my art. Usually, it helps me to generate the mood while I’m working on my illustrations, paintings and even in CID works.
It helps me to concentrate and to abstract from the outside world. At the same time, music feeds my fantasy and sometimes even my mood. For example, in my case by talking about the feelings and the feeling of the music/song, the word FEELING of the music consists not only by the mood factor. Almost all the time I’m having the associations such as temperature association, the idea of where and what conditions could represent the song. The color, the feelings such as sleepy, annoyed, etc. All these facts were primarily concentrated on my perception of the music, but it was always interesting for me how do other people understand it and feel it, and do we have the same associative spectrum for the songs, sounds, melodies, etc. Project/s Brief While I was working on my thesis research, as a part of my work was a survey which helped me a lot to understand how associative spectrum works. After this interviews, I’ve made a bar with the answers for the questions, and then made a collage which represented the temperature, places, cases, smell, and colors which were named by the interviewed.

For this project, I would like to show all this in a graphical and interactive way. Audience

The target group of this project could be anyone who is interested in a sound and visualization.
Tone of Voice
The tone of Voice is conceptual, interactive and informative.

Requirements
For this project should be produced animated visuals and the description of the project.
Also, it is important to have a logo as a word mark, which will represent the project. The CID could involve printed cards/ small book about the project with appendix and poster.
 Media/Format
That could be an interactive website, app, VR, and installation.
No limitations on the sizes, colors, and formats.Presentation
Should be presented the whole process of the project, planner, sketchbook printed materials, poster and the project itself.
Appendix should be involved as a part of the presentation as well. Submission
Everything has to be submitted in week 12.
All work to be handed in Bishops and Sylo. All final work to be submitted as mounted mockups. All used sketchbooks and development work to be contained in a named presentation box. Etc.
Project Title
Music Video as a Vision of Two Artists
Client

The client is a music creator, who provided the song for me.

Introduction

Since Prague College gave us an opportunity to try ourselves in different areas in graphic design after all experimentations I realized that working on animation and videos is the one area where I can prove myself and feel most confident.

The client is a friend of mine, he is a guitar player, who used to be a member of two different successful rock bands in Azerbaijan.
In 2015 he decided to create a music project by himself.
Now he’s at the beginning of his project and has a song on which would like to have a video visualization, which could support the track and show the whole nature of the music he created.
The genre of the music is Progressive Rock.

Project/s Brief

Elaboration of a music video clip is a common combination of the vision of two artists- a musician and a director. Usually, the indicator of how good the creative process has gone, and the unification of two views with the "sensation" of the song or composition is always visible to the audience.
The perception of music and the attempt to co-create it with a video sequence is quite a difficult task, most often from the conceptual point of view, as well as in terms of perception of listeners and viewers. After all, each individual has his/her own thoughts and his/her point of view, even with regard to music and video clips.

Audience Mostly people who love music videos or fans of this musical genre.
Tone of Voice Describe the overall mood/expression of the project.
Conceptual and Clear, with storytelling elements.
Requirements Detail all items to be produced. If the specific items are unknown at this stage, indicate when these decisions will be made and provide a list of the possible items that may be produced.
Music video itself, the working process video, maybe book with concept sketches if it’s needed.
 Media/Format
Video Format, for Social Networks such as Youtube and Vimeo. No any limitations in color.
 Presentation
For the presentation: pdf presentation of the process, sketchbook, schedule, process video, final video.
Submission
Everything has to be submitted in week 12.
All work to be handed in Bishop’s and Sylo. All final work to be submitted as mounted mockups. All used sketchbooks and development work to be contained in a named presentation box. Etc.

Christmas Break
During the Christmas Break, I managed to create 3 animated gifs for “Action On Hearing Loss Brief”.
The idea of this brief is to “visualize hearing loss”.Â
So I found a website which helps to people understand how different stages of hearing sound like, and by using this website I asked several people to give a feedback by asking a question of “How does it feel like?” To hear those different stages, and did this test by myself as well. Based on own feelings and on feelings of the people I made 3 illustrations and then animated them.
I made a frame illustrations on photoshop added some text in it, link to the website and logo. associations of my friends and my associationsÂ
chosen ideas:Â
Mild: like under the water
Moderate: Like wadding in your ears
Severe: like you are in a vacuum/ space
