What's it like having ducks? Do they love you? Did you hatch them? x
It was awesome. I miss them a ton. Though I wish I only had one, it would have been easier to box train. Though, they did fine as it was. :)

Hi! So the reason your ducks from the Pokemon post didn't want to go near water is because they don't have their adult feathers! They can't keep warm in water without them and it's dangerous for them to lower their body tempature, in fact hatchery so tell people not to get their ducks wet until about 7-9 weeks old! How old are they now and what kind are they? They're very cute ducks!
They were just normal pekin ducks. The are 3 now, but I had to give them to a friend that lives on a farm because I couldn't bring them on a plane to DC. :p They still don't like water... unless they are dirty or you get them totally wet, then they warm up to it.
Did you go to landmark college? That's one of my top choices!
Yes I did. :) Its a good school!
My new little Kitten Nixie meaning Water Sprite in old German and Elf in modern day (supposedly)
HOLY DUCK!
In April you posted a picture of a flower in the "mystery flower" tag, a sort of purple-y one--just in case you're still interested, I just stumbled across it and it looks like it might be a hellebore to me! They're also called "Christmas roses" because they bloom in the winter, and they're some of my favorites.
Oh thank you! That is awesome! I just love them!! :)
You do realize how similar your ducks are to Psyduck don't you?
Haha. Yes I do. :p They are my little Psyducks. <3 :)
god, can i have your ducks xD
Haha. I know they are so sweet.
Just to let you know, my family raises ducks and chickens. And your ducks don't like the water yet because they're still really small. Let them grow a bit more and they should start to love it. I'm not trying to be rude or anything, I'm just letting you know.
Cool thanks! That's really helpful to know. :)
Hello, I couldn't help but notice that one of your wonderful ducks has the same name as me. This is very cool. I was just wondering why you chose Edwin as a name. Question out.
Haha. Well my mom and I were trying to think of names for the "other duck" (my dad named the other Webster before we even got them). I couldn't really decide so she through it out and I just really liked it. I like how distinguished the name is. My cats name is Lexington. Haha. I just love names like that. Not that cool of a story but ya. :)
What lenovo laptop do you use? I'm currently searching for one.
Lol. Its called a TinkPad Edge. Idk why you are Anon. Its nice. I LOVE the fingerprint scanner. :)
Im so jealous at you because your ducks love pokemon well im also jealous because you have ducks.
Haha. Get one. They are the sweetest things ever and the Pekin ducks; the ones I have, are pretty smart and they can be taught things and make good pets. They are messy though and need their space to be cleaned at least daily.
Hi! I'm a duckling mother too and no stranger to the human-raised-duckling-fear-of-water syndrome. I find that what helps is just fill your bathtub or whatever to a depth where they can float and eventually dive and take a bath (warmer water is better) Don't put them in the water, put your feet in, then put them on your feet or hold them in your hands so they know they won't drown. be careful b/c their cotton chests will deflate quickly and then they WILL sink
Haha. Thank you so much! I'll give that a try.
Hey, in reference to the ducks - Its called imprinting behavour. If they think you’re their mother (if you were the first moving they they saw ect) then they will follow you around and learn from you, so if you haven’t been swimming, they’ll never learn to swim, and if you’ve watched pokemon, they’ll think they need to watch it too~
Haha. Ya, the problem with that is I fought them at a feed store when they were at max 3-4 days old. I also haven't watched Pokemon since it first came out. My friend just sent me a link and they jumped on top of me and started watching. What I personally think it is is the bird background noises along with the Pokemon's noises too. It might sound comforting...When it comes to the water I tried getting in a couple days ago and they just walk off like "Sucker now you're in there we can go back inside." Haha. I'm still trying though because they smell icky. Haha.
Oh yeah ducks love tv.~Mine watched it all the time with me :D I brought them up on crime dramas.
Hahaha! That's awesome! I think it might be the sounds and stuff.. What about water? DO you have any suggestions?
Your baby ducks are so cute :O What kind of ducks are they?
Thank you so much! :) They are Pekins when they grow up they will be all white like the Aflac duck. Haha. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pekin_duck
