This is one of the earliest designs for Dzintra that I've drew few years agoI probably was still at school when I drew this. I do remember how much fun I had when I discovered how good of a photo effects you can make with water bottle and sunlight.

I think I've already posted the variants of Dzintra's amber pendant on the main blog, I've ever made a poll asking which one people prefered. The tear shaped one won.

There was the 2nd drawing of Dzintra I've made while thinking about her design soon after the first one. I though at first that I've posted it on the main blog, which turns out is false, because I can't find it, I've tried all the tags that I could've added and it is just not there. One of the reasons I've decided to make this post is because I never posted the first designs anywhere. And I've saved the first picture on my phone, but not the 2nd one, even though I thought that I did. I started to search the notebook where I drew the 1st picture. I wasn't able to find it, I've dug through the whole house. I guess I've lost it somewhere. This is upsetting because I did spend a lot of time and energy on it, even though I didn't use any references to give her proper clothing and all.

You all already know this, I've posted it on the main blog along with poll asking which colors I should use for her dress and olive green has won.

The reason why I wanted to post the 2nd drawing I did of Dzintra was because I used the same hairstyle in this newest drawing and it wouod be nice to see the comparison between this new and older versions.

I know a lot of time has passed since then and after reading the post you may have an impression that I may have lost it too, but no, it is safe and sound. I just haven't finished it for the reasons. Mostly because of the finals. After the finals I thought that I would continue working on it. But my mom thought that it would be a good idea to take my bag, where I kept this WIP, and put it in a closet that gets stuck and is really hard to open :^)

Someday I'll get that bag out of there and this WIP will be done.

Ignore her clothes I didn't use references for it. For now I'm trying to get the feeling how she will look like.

I drew her and when I was midway of my lineart I already hated it but decided to color it anyway because it has been a long while since I've colored anything.

I have mid pencils that I always carry with me and I've used just them for the coloring.

anatomy has left the chat when I drew the sketch because her head is a bit too big.

The clothes here suck so much, no my Zaresh will be getting a different design, she deserves better. I wanted to give her simple clothing but I clearly went into the wrong direction here, her grandfather owns a workshop, it isn't big but a shoemaker's granddaughter must have something better designwise even if it's simple.

The only thing I truly like in this drawing is the broom- alright the hair isn't bad too, I'll probably keep it.

I tried to color the underhair to show uh... The undertone of her black hair? I like how other artists utilize this method, but in my case it is clearly meh (I've tried it first while drawing another OC, I'll post the drawings later). It may be because there is too much blue on the drawing already, perhaps it'd look better if there'd be less blue on her clothes. Or it may have looked better if I'd have used better pencil that I have, I don't really know, but for the next time when I'll draw my black haired characters I would like to try disney's method of having different colored lineart for the hair. It won't be exactly like disney because of how I use lineart, but still.

I did some practicing with gesture drawing and then it turned into doodle.

Appearantly, coloring is fun with whiteboard markers.

Learning how to draw hands is hellish punishment.

Basically, this whole semester I didn't draw anything and barely doodled. I discovered that my drawing skills have worsened (which isn't surprising) I was terrified, but since I've successfully managed to close this year I can finally relax and try to get back to the drawing level that I had before.

Poor Bruno Archil has to deal with the... Thing made out of his deceased father's magic and I guess all the negative feelings that he experienced? (Believe me, Lado has experienced A LOT of negative feelings during his lifetime).
