Felice and Wilhelm kissing scene was painful to watch but mainly confusing because it’s a damn copy-paste of Wilhelm and Simon’s love scene in season 1. It’s almost the same moves and looks and rhythm and it happens on the opposite bed of Wilhelm’s room just like if it was literally a mirror image.
And that make sense, the intention was for Wilhelm to try to feel something similar but that moment was beautiful because it was with Simon and in no way he could recreate it with someone else, not even a person he deeply care for like Felice.
I actually like this scene, it’s smart and realistic. He’s vulnerable and sad and with someone he is safe with, them kissing make sense. It’s dumb but it’s very teenager-in-pain life.
What i love the most is Wilhelm face when Henry interrupts them. It’s shame and sadness. He knows it was a bad call and he would have wanted to erase it. But now people will know and it won’t be possible. And he certainly does not want Simon to know. Not because it’s him ‘cheating’ in a way but because what happened is not what it seems. It’s not him trying to move on, i feel that it’s him trying to relive past moments with Simon and maybe seeking some confort.
Anyway they did handle this part very well in my opinion. They address the situation very quickly afterwards, Wilhelm apologizes and Felice calls him out on his behavior. It’s honest and good communication and they move on.
And the following scene in the dining room where he is asked on the table and him refusing to talk about it and begging for privacy is gold.
