JPMAP General Orientation 2016

  School orientation is important because it is the first step to take before embracing responsibilities. It gives guidelines and set of activities to its members in the upcoming semester.

  Last September 23,2016,Junior People Management Association of the Philippines (JPMAP)-Perpetual chapter held a general orientation with the theme “How to be You? Be an active J.P.M.A.P (Join, Participate, and Mold as Perpetualite)” at Ernesto Palanca Crisostomo Hall, at University of Perpetual Help System Dalta. The attendees of the orientation are different students from the College of Business Administration and Accountancy: Marketing Management, Human Resource Development Management and Entrepreneurship.

          “The JPMAP Perpetual officers think that the best way to kick off this school year is to orient the student body first about the organization and what would be the benefits of joining in it. It is also a way to have a connection with the students to assess what the student body needs to learn and what characteristic or knowledge they want to develop that the organization can assist by conducting different activities. The purpose of this event is to broaden the knowledge regarding the history and past accomplishments of the organization and to allow the students to socialize and participate with the upcoming activities of the organization inside and outside campus events. This school year the JPMAP-UPHSD Chapter aims to unleash potentials of Students by providing them activities like training, seminars, corporate social responsibility programs and other aspects as well that can that help them gain knowledge and can set as a practice to them in preparation for our future job as an  employee. ” stated by Madeline Benedicto, President of JPMAP-PERPETUAL.

  JPMAP holds various  activities like: Project J.Art  “JPMAPerps: An Articulated Personality”  "Creative Marketing Approach in Human Relation Development" seminar,  “Operation Management Film Production” seminar, chrysalis” national convention, 20th General Membership Meeting and  Junior People Management Association of The Philippines Orientation 2015.  

          “I joined this organization because I am excited in the different events that they will offer where I can meet my Human resource family. This serves as a team building where I can meet new friends and also share knowledge with them.  I am looking forward for many seminars that they are going to present which is I am sure going to be full of learning. And as of now, I enjoy and love being a member of JPMAP. Also, I want to enhance my social skills, time management and self-responsibility skills. Since I joined the JPMAP Organization, I’ve already met different people, build friendships and have fun while developing my skills.” said by Curtny Wagwag and Ivie Sanchez, members of JPMAP-PERPETUAL.

JPMAP is a national youth organization guided by PMAP which commits to develop members from academic to professional level as future People Managers of society.

Sorok short film festival awarding ceremony 2016

Sorok Uni Foundation Inc. held the 3rd annual sorok short film festival awarding ceremony last November 30, 2016, at Carlos P. Romulo Auditorium RCBC Plaza, Makati City.The theme for this year "LAKBAY PUSO" aims to exhibit and honor the modern day heroes, our kababayans, the Overseas Filipino Workers. Mr. Jae J. Jang, the founder of Sorok uni foundation welcomed everyone with his opening speech. Representatives of different film productions were present. 37 film entries joined the said competition, and everybody was ecstatic to know the winners.  Directors Ralston Jover and Gina Marissa Tagasa were the judges who deliberated and chose the top 13 films that had the chance to win the three major awards. The platinum award goes to the film "breakable" by The M lab Prodcutions, Co. They've won the grand pize of 100,000 pesos. Next is the Gold award won the film "trans parent" by TF Productions, received a cash of 50,000 pesos. Lastly, the silver award goes to the film "Ang lalaking may dalawang pangalan" who also got a cash prize worth 30,000 pesos. Special awards were given to four films aswell. The best actress award was given to Ms. Leo Sarmiento of  “Mis Da Ka”, followed by the best actor award received by Mr. Alfonso Ynigo of the film “Pagbalik”.             Next is "Utol" by Red Cloud Imaginary who accepted the jury prize award, and last but definitely not the least, "Ang Aking Bayani" by Alas Quatro Productions who bagged the viewers' choice award also received 10,000 cash prize.   Major companies and brands like Uni-Ship Inc., Atiko Trans Inc., IT.Corea Inc, Macrocean Manila, Everstar Inc., Ocean Adventure Subic Bay, Camayan Beach Resort and Hotel, Mossimo, NaFlora, Mogu Mogu Manila, Propan TLC and Pic Poc sponsored and supported the film festival. With their media partners:  Sining at Kulturang Pinoy, BusinessMirror, ClickTheCity.com, When In Manila, Nood.PH, Mango Radio and Rappler who helped on promoting the  event nationwide.

Sorok Short Film Festival is a project of Sorok Uni Foundation that aims to raise social awareness and provide an avenue, where aspiring film makers, students or even civic groups could share their perspectives and stories on the current matters and issues that our society is facing. And to continuously empower their cause through different medium like social media. Sorok Uni Foundation, Inc. is a  non-profit organization that focuses on helping the homeless urban and rural poor, and the displaced families due to calamities.
