The new set of VIPs arrives and In-ho informs them on everything that's happened — the rebellion, their handling of it, etc. The games go on and some of the VIPs notice that Gi-hun is obviously subdued and most likely doesn't care about much anymore. They think they can have his and do anything they want to him and they even say so in front of In-ho, maybe during the dinner. In-ho doesn't react until one of the VIPs — whether a male or female — asks him to bring Gi-hun for some 'fun times'.

After s2 finale, Gi-hun is put back into the games. And the next game, no matter what it is, just shows him how truly bad some, if not most, of the O voting players are. He's already lost Jung-bae, Young-il... and he's still haunted by the loss of Sae-byeok and Sang-woo.

So when, during this next game, someone from the O team outright kills someone from their group - Dae-ho, Hyun-ju, Geum-ja or anyone else, something snaps in him.

His resolve breaks.

Because the Frontman, In-ho, was right. The people chose to be here and most of them choose to stay, forcing the rest of them to stay. And maybe those ones do truly deserve to participate in the games, to play them, to suffer through them.

He goes into the next game with the goal to eliminate as much of these players as possible or he asks one of the guard to call the Frontman.
