At the moment, I'm really intrigued with inphernal speculative biology and worldbuilding! This can be seen in the tag I use, Xeno Phighting—however this, at the moment, does contain a combination of doodles, shitposts and whatnot (that I should get around to organising). All inphernals are born with a Spark—an overwhelming essence that powers them and their gear. However, all Sparks are not made equal.

Sparks are on a scale of intensity, starting at a Weak Spark, leading to a Normal Spark, then a Strong Spark, and finally, an Unstable Spark.

Your gear grows with you as you age. However, your Spark's intensity can absolutely affect the size of it.

Weak Sparks: They tend to be late gear summoners and may struggle using their gear as intended in general. They may also be spawned especially weak, needing as much support as possible to be on the same level of strength as their peers.

Normal Sparks: These inphernals typically have the knowledge of their gear and its capabilities immediately and are stable power wise. They're more capable of surviving on their own after spawning.

Strong Sparks: An inphernal with a Strong Spark tends to have adult-sized gears as they spawn, they'll have significant difficulty using them due to this. As well as that, their gear is unstable power wise, it can absolutely seriously harm the wielder and others around them at such an early start of their lives.

Unstable Sparks: These kinds of Sparks are limited to Deities. Unstable Sparks can and will cause environmental damage from its presence alone, as well as do significant biological modifications to the inphernal (as seen with Firebrand's hands and Venomshank's ferality). They can also cause Spark Ruptures, such as severing a Spark from a Spawnpoint through unique means; this can be reversed depending on how a Deity feels. As well as this, they have great gear instability which can cause high levels of damage to a wide scope of land.

There are more to Sparks that I'll touch on later, but I think this should suffice for now.

why do you think blackrock trees leak that red goop?

that is a great question, it may just be due the normal process of them leaking honeydew, as well as damage to the bark from the harsh weather and excess moisture buildup as well

for the colouration, not actually quite sure. it could be some kind of defencive development that the trees have evolved to go like "dont come near me, my sap looks like blood and something probably got killed or attacked here a couple of moments ago" so that any fauna dont try to damage them OR the red colouration might be to look attractive to passing fauna who are in search of a quick boost of energy, so they may tear the bark off in search of the honeydew, that in turn speeds up the process of removing the damaged parts of the tree

gonna hold off on doing some major xeno inphernal biology stuff until the big crossroads update but that doesnt mean i havent been thinking extensively about them and all

yk how crazy it is that medkits healing abilities arent just limited to its gear (this includes the gun and the crystals just to make it easier for clarification)

this introduces some interesting lore about how deep a gear and inphernals relationship actually is, theyre so much more intertwined than we thought

it also makes us understand why darkheart views their gear as a separate conscious entity more now

excited to see how they might explore this when new crossroads comes out and all the lore drops (confirmed to be this summer YIPPEE)

thank you for this!! so yes anything we get past may 24 will either go to more HRT or to go towards the committees of the disadvantaged, poor countries attending the event to help cover the costs of people's attendance. we have 1700 eur on the fundraiser so far btw, i will be sharing that amount with the other countries anyway (dont know which ones exactly but last yr it was morocco, mali, lebanon). if it's too late to order more hrt, it will go to help covering the costs of activists from west asia and different parts of africa attending the event and possibly to displaced queer ppl in lebanon. like i will see how much extra we get + how much of it is too late to spend on HRT + what's the most urgent need/efficient use of money at that moment. explaining this bc i like 2 be transparent about all this stuff and you're all welcome to ask me any questions about any of this <3 thanks again OP for your consideration and effort :))
