Was craving froyo so I went and got that at 3pm which turned into going to happy hour with one of my friends where it was half price bottles of wine and now it’s 8:20 and I’m hammered

I’ve been going to a bikram yoga class every Sunday afternoon for the past few months but had to miss the last 2 weeks because I was sick and when I tell you I thought I was gonna pass out in class today oh my god

#a 105 degree class when it’s 100 outside is torture #proud of myself though!!!!

This whole week I thought I was going crazy because my contacts felt so blurry and I kept having to adjust them but it turns out I mislabeled the box and was wearing the wrong prescription in one eye the whole time 😵‍💫

This is a big week!! It’s my last week on my current team at work, meeting one of my favorite old coworkers for drinks on Wednesday, getting my nails done for the first time in almost a year on Thursday, and my brand new bed gets delivered on Friday!

My bedroom windows face straight west and it’s summer in Texas so of course my bedroom is so fucking hot in the afternoons. I keep the blinds closed and have curtains but it was still at least 80 up there every day. I finally switched from linen curtains to blackout curtains and I cannot believe what a difference it makes!! It stayed at least 5 degrees cooler yesterday, wild

The very fancy mall by me has a detailing service in one of the parking garages so I dropped off my car to get all prettied up this morning. When I pulled up the guy was working on a fucking pristine Porsche. I made a joke about my ratty ass ford fiesta being next to that and got a good laugh but god I’ve never felt so broke lmao

Summer House is such perfect background noise for a work from the couch afternoon, I have so much shit to get done that I don’t want to do but putting this excellent trash on makes it so easy to just get through it

I got the internal job I’ve been interviewing for!!!

I’ve been so godawful anxious about stupid work shit for the last 2 weeks that I’ve been having trouble sleeping and eating. It all finally caught up with me today and I feel like death. I was supposed to have my final interview for an internal transfer tomorrow morning but my brain feels like mashed potatoes so I rescheduled for Monday and am gonna drug myself and sleep for as long as humanly possible tomorrow and hope that fixes me.

Came out to the lake for a relaxing long weekend and hit a raccoon when I was 1 minute from the house. My car is dented and leaking some kind of fluid now because of course 🤪

It was leaking antifreeze and my car is now in the shop till at least Monday 🫠🫠🫠

One final presentation/interview next week stands between me and an internal transfer at my company but the prompt they gave me is sooo nebulous that I’m nervous I’m gonna take it in the completely wrong direction and fuck it up

I went to a heated workout class today on very little sleep and zero food (ty anxiety 🫡) and I doooo not recommend that! Genuinely thought I was gonna pass out at the end.

I (thankfully!) have so little medical stuff going on that I fully forgot about my HSA account but my new contacts were so expensive that it got me thinking about it, finally checked and I have 10k sitting in there. Time to pay myself back for my $200 an hour therapy visits!!
