as we see reprisals of Y2K skinny culture (as part of fascism) people are making a lot of posts like ‘if you’re too young to remember, it was so toxic. people shamed [skinny woman] for being fat!’ and perhaps it’s useful to bring up someone like kate winslet circa 1999 being fatshamed to express how truly dire the situation was/is but i find it increasingly frustrating that the response seems by and large to be ‘wow that’s awful! she wasn’t even fat!’ [so clearly that was wrong!] and not the real point: ‘so imagine how horrible it was for actual fat people, who also don’t deserve the far worse treatment they got/get.’
tl:dr if your response to fatphobic bullying/harrassment is “but they’re not even fat,” you have not gotten to the core issue. you haven’t even considered the core issue.
lots of people in the tags pointing out the same thing about transphobia and especially transmisogyny where instead of centering trans women in conversations about transmisogyny, it turns into defending cis women who are mistaken for trans women like “and she’s not even trans!” instead of saying “we shouldn’t treat trans women that way.” you’re not derailing you’re 100% correct

I swear to God this cold climate is killing me. (Spoilers; I absolutely LOVE cold)
I planned to draw so much stuff today but I simply could NOT HANDLE the chilly corner where my table is AND I DON'T EVEN HAVE AN AC HOME.
In the end I spent half of my afternoon on my bed with the heavy blanket over my head, brainstorming ideas while SHIVERING under the temperature of a TROPICAL COUNTRY AUTUMN SEASON, IT SHOULD NOT BE THIS COLD.
I am enjoying it as much as I can thought because massive heat will hit us like a truck soon enough in the next months.
Although I absolutely love the cold, I am not built for the cold as I have hypotension, and hypotense people feel colder than other people because of bad blood circulation, so yeah, in the cold my toes and nails literally turn a pale shade of blue.
I'll buy wool socks and new hoodies soon.

sometimes I remember that jmart is actually 100% canon and I get a sudden rush of joy and gratitude for the writer(s) at rq.
and not just implied canon either. not just an ambiguous confession that could be twisted to be platonic. not just subtext. not just a relationship confirmed by the creators after the fact. they are 100% undeniably canon.
they refer to each other as boyfriends. they talk openly with other characters about the fact that they're dating. they have an audible kiss. they say I love you in a way that is undeniably romantic. they openly flirt with each other.
and like. yeah canon is made up and whatever we want it to be yadda yadda. but like,, canon queer relationships, especially quality written queer relationships, are just,, RIDICULOUSLY hard to come by for some reason and jmart's relationship is so refreshing to me, especially because you can tell the writers actually care about it
and they're not the only ones! there's a canon lesbian couple! there are canon trans characters! there are literal statements with themes of transness and queerness and how that impacts people's experiences! there are explicitly queer background characters/relationships! jon is canonically asexual! (and jon's asexuality could be a whole other post for me—it feels so monumental as an asexual person to see somebody who is both canonically asexual and still has genuine romantic relationships)
no matter what your opinion on jmart is, I think it's pretty hard to deny that they're so important on the representation side of things. as a queer person it's incredibly comforting to have a fandom where I feel 100% safe and accepted by not just the queer side of the fandom but the creators as well <3 thank u rusty quill for all you do
"average person mentions the tunnels 5 times a day" factoid is a statistical error. Tunnels Jon, who goes to the tunnels 10 times a week and talks about them 25/8 is an outlier and should not been counted

They most likely exist out there, and would be boss Monsters, yes ;)
As you can imagine, dragons are quite rare and so should be skeleton ones, but they are legends of their existence!
