I'm rereading stormbringer at the moment, and I find it incredibly interesting how you can see Verlaines sanity slipping from codes 1 and 2, to 3 and 4.

In the first 2 codes, he is incredibly reserved, yes, we see him do some very messed up things, but he's arrogant almost. He is very sure of himself and what he wants to do. He knows why he came all this way for chuuya and feels no remorse regarding the things he's doing.

Codes 3 and 4 have a tone shift, Verlaine starts to feel guilt, begins to be unsure of what he's doing. All leading up to his moment with rimbaud.

I truly think the bungou stray dogs fandom has problems with comprehending media especially when it comes to characterization.

If I see chuuya mischaracterized as a short Chihuahua one more time I might gen crash out. I understand where this is coming from as we only really ever see him in either a pretty irritating situation or with dazai who is a really irritating person.

However, it annoys me to see his character boiled down to that. Now I'm not gonna sit here and says he's a good person. He's not. He's a port mafia executive. Nothing good about that. However, to say he is ONLY angry is factually incorrect. I implore the fandom to read stormbringer as it allows you to understand more of chuuya as a character. I know I'm saying a whole lot of nothin but this page is for me y'all just tagging along for the ride

I love Rimbaud and Verlaines dynamic so much. They are so doomed but I genuinely love their entire 'too little too late' thing. People praising Life is Strange: Double exposure for it's good writing, why? I genuinely cannot see how that game is well written. I left the game with so many questions that reunion didn't answer. I thought a lot of the dialogue was corny but not in an endearing way in a "pumpkin spice cream cheese" way. But I can even forgive that, if it weren't for the fact that there are SO many plot holes. Max could never bring herself to shoot safi, so how is Safi dead? Not to mention, it makes it seem as if the storm was Max's. That storm always symbolized Rachel. It was never Max's. The way they wrote out Warren feels almost, disrespectful, to those who chose to romance him as well. Why do we get so much closure on Chloe, and Warren only gets a mention in reunion? I don't know, maybe it's just me but I don't like the writing of this game. It feels like fanfiction that was professionally produced. The Maia plot line tried so hard to be another Rachel Amber but failed miserably.

I hate how people say Life is Strange: Reunion was well written. Objectively, the game is badly written. I love Pricefield fan service as much as the next guy but that doesn't erase the fact that Max and Chloe's story was not meant to continue after the first game. Combining both endings to make Reunion work completely erases the message of the first game that your actions are meant to have consequences. Its a badly written game and the fan service cannot make up for that. I dislike all of the DeckNine games because of how badly written they are, DontNod come back the kids miss you🥀
