The Moment, the movie with charlie XCX
I think this movie was very interesting. Basically, Charlie is playing an exaggerated version of herself, (a more depressed version). This movie is really about how difficult and stressful it is to take care of a popstar longevity because you have do all those things, corny brandy dealS or else to stay relevant. Moreover, that could be destructive and even contre-intuitive. For example in this film (spoiler alert), we are in 2024 when charlie conquered the summer with her brat album so she's really buzzing everywhere and her team and label want "the brat summer to last forever". In order to do that, they hire a very successful director who wants to immortalize the Brat tour by making a m0vie out of it. But he is sort of like a popstar machine who doen't care about the artist vision and change charlie and the Brat album into everything that they are not to make it likeable to the more people possible. I think that m0vie expose how the creative direction of an artist can discreetIy be taken away from them, how the grow of an artist is not prioritize. In the end, I'm happy she decided to let Brat summer die, surely allowing her to prioritize her health and move on to explore other creative inspiration!
What did you think?Do your agree with it?
