i like this one a lot, i was literally playing Ponytown as i made it, but i did very good . he looks so Defeated here . all the tools at his disposal and nothing is helping and nothing is working . i can just see his face in my mind looking at his hunched back and slumped shoulders . lots of more modern robot masters (10s, 11s, possibly the override guys) have fully sculpted faces n hair n synthskin in an effort to try to more closely integrate robot masters with humanity . other behaviors like a ‘sleep schedule’ , simulated breathing , and high sapience ratings are also trying to bridge the gap between man and machine

i think i latched this hard onto fuse was cos i read he was on wdge and anxious and busy 24/7 and went Oh So Somethings Wrong With Him and i really needed to figure out what was wrong with him

Fuse man might have a million things wrong witu him but he has a cute bunny and handsome boyfriend so its a LITTLE bit better than it could be

one thing that ive become enraptured about w fuse is his mental health . sure theres robots with mental problems of various degrees (burner man comes to mind) but, not really any on the same scale as him . sure some robots and anxious or sad but how many of these robots actively self harm and have at least one recorded suicide attempt .

in my Perfectly Handcrafted Mega Man World the whole concept of a robots mental wellbeing is painfully unexplored . as in, no real research or documentation on it exists among all those many many robot scientists . sure , theories and what-ifs , but nothing proper and thorough . fuse gets just about No Hlep for his issues . a lot of his problems came from very deep firmware issues and the mishandling of his initial social formation period that bordered on total isolation .

i do see dr. lights maintenance as one of the only real ways he ever gets help . i cant imagine how many times that man has asked fuse to remove his gauntlets and saw how gnarled his arms were , or his thighs even , hell maybe even Other Places idk!! or his attempts , i very vividly imagine how that gone down and the way multiple engineers would have to repair him . his manufacturer doesnt really care that much . too expensive to try to fix , they say , and hes incredibly dedicated to his job n purpose anyway so why step in . sometimes i envision hes medicated but i cant work out the logic of a robot on meds so dont worry abt it ok? ok (roboenza ik ik but i liked tot hink they were thumb drives w antiviruses in them!!! thats COOLER!!!!!! and makes SENSE!!!!!!)

Like jesus christ man if i was one of the only examples of robots with severe mental issues and nobody really knows how you treat it cos u aint human id also be trying to kill myself i cant blame him that much

been thinkin of blast writing fuse ‘love letters’ . hes seen it in so many movies and whatnot , and thought that it was a great idea . A half crumpled paper with very awful handwriting n little doodles and maybe a side tangent of something entirely unrelated , but very heartfelt regardless
