Even the clams in China look like brush paintings of misty mountains! Also, that second one reminds me of the dustjacket on The Hobbit.

A couple years back I was doing all these quick sketches and leaving them around the city In random places. I called them Little Litter. I have the desire to start this up again because I never got to my goal of 100.

Working on designing and 3D printing the new pieces for my board game, Wu Xing - The Night Shining Pearls. This is the first piece to test the printing and design. This is Rabbit and he will be joined by all the animals of the Chinese Zodiac. I’m pretty excited by the new designs for the game and look forward to sharing more.

Most of the time these diners are isolated islands of food supply in an ancient surrounding with a dash of cultural heritage. Isolated both in the sense of appearance as well as in the sense of resisting against global operating fast-food chains. But the ‘improper’ and modern their architecture may appear, the much heritage there is behind the scenes. Viennese wurstel diners have been introduced during the Austro-Hungarian "K.u.K." Monarchy around 1870 to provide a safe income for wounded war veterans. Since then they became an essential part of the urban culture not by only supplying snacks but also being a meeting spot of the distinctive Viennese working class and the high society, too."

Fantastic! I would love to step out of the darkness and up to any one of these places right now. Really captures the mood of what it's like to stand at a street food vendor late at night.

Another repost. I can't help it because this strikes me as some of the most beautiful writing I've ever seen. I'm amazed by the written arabic language.

I'm starting to study Chinese more seriously and I am beginning to feel that a lot of the original artistry of the language was given up, through it's many transformations, for more practicality. I know almost nothing about arabic, but to me this kind of writing still gives off a feeling of expressive art as I think most ancient languages did.

I appreciate the incredibly efficient system of the Roman alphabet we use. But I don't think ABC will ever look as beautiful as this.
