MFF 2019 Debrief
Merry Christmas everyone! Wait, wasn’t MFF over 2 weeks ago? .....yes. My laziness knows no bounds. Wednesday: Since MFF is such a big deal, I decided to drive over Wednesday night, rather than Thursday night like I would any other con. The drive was pretty uneventful, except one time my GPS tried to take me onto a toll road so I fiddled with it while driving and nearly drove off the road, and then literally 5 minutes later I saw a big crash happen up ahead and traffic completely stopped, and by the time I drove around the wreck, cops were draping a tarp over a body in the middle of the highway. I took that as a warning. Other than that, I had dinner at my favorite gyro place from back when I lived in Chicago, and then had an uneventful drive to Rosemont. Before MFF, I decided to dye my hair red again, and made an attempt at growing facial hair.....
There was a mini room party in our room, one of them was TheOddOnesOut or something, apparently he’s super famous on YouTube but I felt bad because I didnt know him ;v; but yeah, apparently that weekend he did a reveal that he is a furry or something. Also there were some people making a lot of noise right outside our door, so one of the other YouTubers (also apparently relatively popular but I forgot their name already >n<) went out and yelled at them if they have any weed, and someone actually gave them a vial of weed. It smelled bad. Thursday: The guy running the room brought a griddle and a bunch of pancake mix, so we had pancakes for breakfast. First he made regular pancakes, and then we started mixing more and more shit into them until we ended up with Fireball pancakes, which were disgusting. Fireball is the only booze that has ever made me throw up. Afterwards, we went to Chicago and had some Giordano’s (despite my protests, as a Chicagoan, that Lou Malnati’s is better) and it was good pizza.
Afterwards, we went to Cloud Gate (what everyone in the group called “The Chicago Bean”),
and by then sponsor reg was opening soon so we went back to the hotel. I waited way too long for my badge and it pisses me off. Last year I was smart and got my badge on Friday morning and there was a 1 hour wait, but this year I got in line an hour before regular reg opened, and then waited an additional 3.5 hours in line.
And the worst part? By the time I got my badge, there was maybe half an hour to an hour of line left. I literally could have been doing anything else, and have gotten my badge just as fast. Linecon never ceases to amaze. After that I got hammered and passed out and missed the bird social. Friday: Had a lazy wake-up, as is typical for the first day of a con, and went and peeped with some birds for a bit under a big Rosemont sign. I had leftover Giordano’s for lunch, then went to a brony panel, where we pretty much all agreed that we’re moving on to being furries (as you would expect at a brony panel in a furry con), then went to a panel called Cutthroat Artist, which I absolutely loved and will try to arrange at Trotcon. I had my character selected for one of the prompts where I was crossed with another character (a wolf I think?)
Afterwards I went to the bird dinner, where the food was lame and we were in tables of 6-8 anyway so literally no point in it, I think this will be the last year I go because every year the food at O’H is disappointing,
so I went back to my hotel room and had a bunch of mcnuggets and fries that my roommates ordered.
After food, I threw on my kigu and went to the rave, where I saw that pretty bird with the glowy wings.
I want to maybe make my wings glowy when I make my suit? Saturday: Today was the day I really hit the vendor hall. I bought an adorable little magpie pin,
then suited up and went to the fursuit menagerie, where I had lots of pretty pictures taken of me. I suited around for a little while, met Rad (the changeling) and snugged him, then went back to my hotel room to cool down, because for whatever reason, my fan did not charge much at all and died pretty quickly. After cooling down for a bit, I went to the fallen party, which was a party with a party room in all white with faux clouds everywhere and a bar with lots of booze and DJs playing music, and in the hotel room portion of it, everything was all red and it was basically an orgy. I originally didnt plan on having sex at the party, but then there was this cute snow leopard fursuit there, and I ended up hecking a snep >3> also I got pretty drunk. One dude just totally passed out so I tried helping him get back to his hotel room when I felt like I should also go back. Sunday: Pretty much typical sad con sunday. Woke up early, met up with a birb, snugged until it was time for the bird breakfast, and went to hofbraeuhaus. I really like Kaesespaetzle, and I wanted to try how they made it there, but it was actually really gross and poorly made, which made me sad, because typically their food is on point. There was nothing else happening for the rest of the day, so I tried finding some other fluffs to snug with, but couldn’t find anyone, so I just drove home, and went to work next monday morning: AND NOW THE LOOT! ...which I have a ton of. I swear. I’ll edit this part later. I am currently at my parents’ house for Christmas, and left all my loot back home.
Separate post for all the Bronycon sketches!
There’s just so many, I didn’t want to clutter the debrief with them!
Sketch swap between me and Aero Pegasus
Sketch swap between me and Pich-un
Sketch swap with GuyWithAmp
Unfortunately, I didn’t take a picture of what I drew for Whisper, but it was Berry sitting on a giant banana all lewdly
Another drawing damaged because I forgot my watercolors bleed through paper =n=
Prompt: draw something without lifting your pen off of the paper
Prompt: draw your character celebrating the stanley cup celebration
Prompt: draw your character doing something for the first time
Someone (I think it was NCMares but not sure?) asked me to sketch my bird, but with tits
Bronycon 2013-2019 debrief
Me and the boys at our last bronycon
It’s been a great run, and honestly, it’s been so transformative in my life, for all kinda of reasons. It’s just amazing looking back at 2013 and seeing how different I am now. As such, I will not be just making a post about Bronycon 2019, but actually going through every year one by one, and reflecting on what that con was like, and how I felt overall. Bronycon 2013 (The first, the lonely)-
This was my very first convention ever, and the convention I felt the loneliest in. I was mostly a fanfic author at the time (by which I mean my only “contribution” to the fandom was a self-insert clopfic) and I hadn’t done more than dabbled in art. We all remember it as linecon, when getting a badge took 3 hours, and I really knew next to no one. I spent the first day panel hopping and telling Atryl how much I love his porn, and the next 2 days, again, panel hopping, and admiring the fursuiters. My writing on it is very happy-go-lucky, but in reality, I remember being sad and lonely, and in my hotel room desperately trying to find other people who are also at BC to hang out with. It was at this con that I decided that I will be like atryl and become an awesome artist and vend, and I will be on the tumblrpon panel. Then I will get ALL the attention! One notable image is this badge:
It is autographed by both TJ Carson (Pirate Dash) and atryl. I still have this badge, but TJ’s autograph has since been scratched out and acetoned off, because I had big plans, and that will lead to some future drama between myself and TJ. Bronycon 2014 (Google Chrome, rising star!)-
This con, in my memory, was a power grab. This was also the year I came wearing a Chrome wig.....
This was at the height of my thirst for more followers. In the year since bronycon 2013, I had amassed over 1000 tumblr followers, and I felt like the big man on the block. I tried to spend time with BronyDanceParty, Frigid Drift, DILeak (now Ralek), Brann, Siden,
BronyDanceParty (left), me (center), DILeak (right) and I was really trying to wedge myself onto the tumblrpon panel, even at one point in the writeup stating that it felt more like the “TJ and friends” panel, because the only reason I wasn’t on it was because of nepotism. I went around giving out stickers with my tumblr url on them, assured all the vendors that by next year, I’ll be vending, and the drama with TJ had already begun. It says that I apologized to him for the way I acted, however, we certainly haven’t even hit our peak dislike of each other yet. At the tail end of bronycon, I talked to Jykinturah Sparkle, another person from tumblrpon, and we had a mini intervention, because, like I said, I was really focused on my follower count, spent the convention pretty much networking and leveraging more followers, and being pissed that I wasn’t on the tumblrpon panel. I apologized to TJ about it, but, not even 2 months later, at Ciderfest 2014, I applied to be on the tumblrpon panel specifically because I wanted to host it whether TJ wanted me there or not, although that dick move was mostly out of spite, because he blew up on me and started trying to turn my friends against me when he claimed that I called pirate dash a rapist, which I most certainly did not do, but that’s just some more bullshit drama that gets resolved later. Some notable images:
I also tried to collect a bunch of Google Chrome merchandise. Surprisingly, I haven’t seen too much of it since tumblr went out of favor and my blog died :( Bronycon 2015 (10art1, rising artist!)-
This was a landmark year for me, because this was the year that I got to vend for the first time!
I vended with Frist, someone who has helped me so much over the years, and who (spoilers) I’ll inevitably lose contact with, and it all goes downhill from there! 2015 was an absolutely massive year. I sold out of so many of my prints, because they were still fresh and popular. After the con, I will think I will do this well with stale old 2015 prints forever, and stock up on so many prints, that even today in 2019, many of my 2015 prints are still sitting in my closet, unsold. Also, I met this kid wearing the same wig as I wore last year!
Immediately after this con I saw him in a cringe compilation and felt bad :( but I will say that, in 2019 I got to see him again, and he’s all grown up now and has shaken off being in a cringe compilation, so I am proud of him!
Heck, I feel old now. There really isn’t much to say about this con. I just made a bunch of prints and dakis, they sold extremely well, and I had fun vending and I felt quite accomplished. This con also set me up to start drifting away from my Google Chrome tumblr and more towards being a vendor at cons.
Bronycon 2016 (The Vending Golden Age)-
This con signified the year that I spent the most effort on vending. My Chrome blog was pretty much dead at this point, and I had even abandoned tumblrpon. It was been there, done that for me. But also, while I vended with Frist, I had already begun to lose touch with a lot of people. I had stayed up all night trying to sort my shipfic cards and had them all laying on the floor around me because I didn’t know that literally everyone else was bringing the game back and had good suppliers to buy from and everything.
I was totally out of the loop as to what the other artists were doing, and that was leading to my demise. Print sales were down, except for my new stuff, and daki sales were down, except for my new stuff, and I still wasn’t quite sure how come my old stuff that everyone bought already wasn’t selling as well as my new art. It was also the year I came to prefer playing games and spending time with friends over vending, but it’ll be another year before it finally reaches the breaking point for me.
Bronycon 2017 (Everything was perfect, yet I was sad)-
This year... oh god, this year was the year that was so deeply troubling for me, even now, post-Bronycon 2019, though I now have an understanding of what went wrong, I am still working on rebuilding myself. Every year prior, the highlight of my bronycon was vending my newly created art. This year, the highlight was spending time with friends, and I didn’t want to admit it to myself, because I was afraid of what it would mean to my identity if I were to stop vending my old crap no one wants anymore, something I have done at every con since Bronycon 2015. Not much to say about it, just wish I could go back in time and slap myself that NO DUH new art sells better than old art, and NO DUH playing games with friends is more fun than vending all day! Not really much more to say about this year. On the bright side, the trotcon right before this con, TJ and I made up. Also, this fucker bought a daki from me
Bronycon 2018 (Trying something different)-
2018 was the year I hadn’t fully realized myself, but I knew enough to realize that I felt bad vending, so I decided to take a year off from vending. It was a great year for me. I went back to hanging out with the tumblrpons, my fursuit was finally done so I got to wear that around, I met this fucker again
and I played card games and jackbox. I went to drawing panels that I would have missed had I been vending, and had a blast fursuiting and meeting other fursuiters.
The highlight of this con was all the time I spent with my friends, and while I am not sure if I had more fun than when I was vending in 2015 and 2016, I definitely had fun given what I was experiencing.
Bronycon 2019 (The end of an era)-
Alright, this is the present now, so I will do a full write-up, given that one deosn’t exist. Overall, my closing thoughts are that, while I am sad that Bronycon is over, it was also very transformational, and I grew as a brony punctuated by Bronycon, and now I transition into the furry fandom right as Bronycon ends. Since all things must end, this is the best time in my opinion. Wednesday: Wow, a con on a wednesday! That’s a first. Pretty much the most exciting thing was coming back to the shitty city of baltimore, and the first thing I see on the light rail is some crazy bitch attacking a cop before being tackled and cuffed.
Unfortunately, the convention center station was closed because the ground caved in.
Gosh, what a wonderful city!
Also, Fisher gave me a pack of chinese Mao-themed playing cards. I’m a fan of all things soviet, and chinese is pretty much the same, right? Gosh Fishy, you’re silly!
Thursday: I started the day off with the annual tumblrpon pool party, and kicked everyone’s ass at breath holding with my tuba player lungs.
After the pool party, I went to brunch with some friends at Cornerstone Bakery. I finally got my badge, then fursuited around, and unfortunately discovered that I forgot my tail at home AGAIN! I never go to opening ceremonies, but I decided to go just because it’s the last Bronycon.
They were alright. Gilbert Gottfried sang horse songs.
I went to dinner at Pratt Street Alehouse, then went to art jam. It was pretty much a sketchbook swap between the artists. It got way too full, and the fire marshal kicked us all out, so we went to do sketchbook swaps at “the boats”, which is what we call the 2nd floor mezzanine at the BCC.
Afterwards, I went to Der’s hotel room with Gyro and Saewin until I got tired and went back to the hotel to sleep.
Friday: I went to the vendor hall today, because yesterday the line was too long,
and, just like in 2015, everyone sold out of most of the good stuff the first day. I talked to some of my artist friends while they weren’t swamped, and just explored the vendor hall for hours. I wanted to buy something, but never was able to decide what exactly I wanted anyway.
After lunch at shake shack, I went to some panels where we were given prompts on what to draw.
I had chipotle for dinner with Fisher and Serious Rainbow, because I REFUSE to eat Jimmy John’s, then, since it was 6:00, I decided to go to an MA Larson panel from 6:30 to 7:30 because I had time to kill until the 8:00 tumblrpon game night. However, the line was so insane to the MA Larson panel, I didn’t get in until 7:15, and the panel only started at 7:30, so I decided to go back to my hotel room instead. Also... these fucking scooters are EVERYWHERE! I love it.
Saturday: I watched the new episode today, something I hadn’t done in ages. Most of all, it had a problem that was very close for me: the realization that you’re not as interested in what you’re doing as you used to be. The resolution was trash and totally didn’t apply to me at all.
After the episode, I had breakfast with Spackle, the guy I met at Ciderfest several years ago. We both had finished school and are now starting to work. Also some weirdos got married to their dakimakuras.
After breakfast, I hung out with Rosa, Ember, and Barlowe, the people I stayed with at trotcon, until it was time for me to suit up for the fursuit photoshoot, then I took part in an unofficial fursuit parade.
After suiting around for a while, I relaxed in the hotel room, then went to Jackbox with the VAs, followed by the tumblrpon panel. The tumblrpon panel talked about so much history, that I didn’t realize how much I missed out, considering I came late to the party and left early (tho I’d like to think I was still the life of it). Finally, after the panel we ordered chinese food and then we all drew for the rest of the night at the boats.
Sunday: This morning I had brunch with Spackle and Rosa at the cheesecake factory. Afterwards, I suited up and had a bunch of pictures of me taken. The line for closing ceremonies was insane,
and I would have just skipped it if it wasn’t the last Bronycon. I should have skipped it, though. It started with a random irrelevant dance number, and overall it was lame. Finally, all the tumblrpons gathered one last time to have our picture taken together, then we went to Dick’s Last Resort for dinner.
Also this dude is back
RIP Bronycon
Trotcon Debrief
So, before I begin, I know not a lot of you actually read this, it’s just my blog and it seems like an easy and logical place for me to store my convention stories, both for my reference, and I’m sure some of you actually do read this. As far as art goes... yeah, I have a bunch of WIPs. I also have factorio, so I work to balance the two (around 0% to 100%, it’s only fair lol). Anyway, overall, this was a walk through memory lane. I have not been at a pony convention in a year (last one was Bronycon 2018), so it’s hard to not feel like a has-been. That is something I felt numerous times at this convention. Regardless, it’s a lot of personal shit, and I hope to grow from the experiences.
Thursday: I left work and arrived right at the con. I live in cincinnati, so it was only a 90 minute drive to the con. Immediately after seeing the schedule, which had stuff like the vendor hall, after dark artist alley, art panels.... I felt like a has-been, because these are all things I used to do, and don’t anymore. I felt sad, then drew Bsalg falling onto some cactuses,
then went back to my hotel room and we just shat the shoot and played music until late at night with my 2 roommates. I roomed with some dude who looked like a fuckin nerdy hank hill
Friday: My third roommate arrived today, he came late because of work stuff. I went to opening ceremonies, where Pirate Dash scared everyone by blowing a loud Venezuela
and also some people proposed on stage. After I left, I met Rye (a guy I paneled with last year) and we walked around together for a bit through the vendor hall as I met old friends, and then went to the board game room and played some game where you are a school girl trying not to get your booty spanked by your teachers or else you go crazy and get tentacled by cthulhu. I played that until the tumblrpon panel, which almost didn’t happen due to trotcon’s shitty scheduling, until I reminded TJ that the panel is at 3:30. I sat with Rye up front, and even though neither of us were panelists, we pretty much were because we were invited to talk a bunch about our tumblr experiences. After the panel, I went back to the hotel room and just relaxed in the A/C (this was the weekend when it was SWELTERING outside) and found a bike just waiting to be stickered
so I stickered it (NSFW), until it was 10pm and I suited up and walked around the vendor hall. Unfortunately, my visibility was very limited so I didn’t get to see any delicious pony puss. Regardless, afterwards I went back to the hotel room, did a hecking fap (because I legit can’t go more than 2 days without fapping >_>) then relaxed again until 1:30 when the after dark sketch request panel was happening. Every past year, I didn’t know to ask Braeburned, so every year I had to sneak on the panel, and this year I was proactive and asked Braeburned, but he said that he isn’t coming to trotcon this year, so Fearingfun took control, and again I had to sneak on the panel. That panel was a blast! I’d show y’all what I drew, but tumblr doesn’t like that anymore, so just go on derpi Saturday: I woke up late because I stayed up until like 5am the previous night. But fuck it, this is the one year I am not vending! So, we went to IHOP for breakfast.... at like, 1pm. You’d be surprised that IHOP actually has a pretty decent burger + pancake combo. When we got back, I had missed the laser battle, but there was a nerf war instead, so I joined that, and I had a blast!
My butt and knees hurt for a few days after, because my strategy was to let the other team expend their ammo, then rush them and shoot them behind their cover, and run back behind my cover. Rinse and repeat. After that I relaxed in the hotel room a bit too long, and barely had time to get dinner by the time the sketch request panel started. I drew a bunch of people’s characters.
(I totally fucked that drawing up with my pen dripping ink blots)
The panel ended a bit early due to a schedule mistake (because, again, Trotcon’s schedule is garbage) and had some time to pregame before going to TJ’s “Jacking it with Pirate Dash” panel, where I was shitfaced and crushed everyone in quiplash. For beating Pirate Dash, I earned this pin, that I now wear proudly.
I had a bit of drama afterwards because TJ was upset about the panel and I was upset again about feeling like a has-been, but there’s this guy, Rob Cakeran, the guy who wrote My Little Dashie, who was a super good friend and made everyone feel better. Then we played Uno, and this one Mexican writer who sat next to me dared assume that I don’t speak Spanish, so in a thick gringo accent I told him how it’s totally not the verdad! After the game, I went to the 30 minute challenge panel, but first it was delayed due to scheduling issues, then it was delayed because someone dressed as Jesus Shrek drank way too much and vomited everywhere and passed out,
and it was moved to the game room that was very makeshift for this kind of panel, so I just went to sleep. Sunday: Woke up and packed my bags, because today is the last day. Pretty much nothing was going on, I just killed time until the annual Golden Corral meetup. I went to outback for lunch, which was positively hellish because my car had no A/C and it was high noon. Not much to say about that day. Went to the charity auction, where some voice actress was positively hyper
(I heard rumors that she was also getting hammered with Jesus Shrek from the night before but I wasn’t there so idk) and afterwards went to Golden Corral, like we do every year, and it was a cheerful good-bye, when most of us see each other again in 2 weeks.
Whoa there! I can tell this guy likes his alfredo sauce white and pure.
And, of course, the shrine to ketchup.
AnthroCon 2019 debrief
Honestly guys, this was the best time I have had in such a long time. After losing touch with a lot of my brony friends and feeling out of place at pony conventions, I am so glad to have found so many friendly people at furry conventions. At AC and at MFF I felt the way I felt at BronyCon 2015 and 2016.
Also look at this creepy guy... wtf
Thursday: I was picked up by Rad, a cute changeling I met back when I lived in Chicago. He volunteered to drive me because Cincinnati is only a bit out of the way from Chicago to Pittsburgh. I totally didn’t even recognize him because he shaved his face! We got Poutine at Sammy’s, a restaurant in Cincinnati that makes pretty tasty burgers and apps, then we drove for hours to Pittsburgh. At the con we went to pick up our badges, where I filled out some survey about really boring topics. I did it because they promised cool prizes, but all they gave me was a badge ribbon (and not even a great one! I have become pretty selective due to the huge amount I have already collected)
and my choice of some dumb stickers or some dumb erasers. So that was a waste of time. After we got our badges, we met up with our other roommates and snuggled in the hotel for a bit before going to dinner at Condado. Condado legit had the best tacos, queso, and salsa I have ever had. I was so excited when I saw that there was one in Cincinnati too! Friday: I spent the morning lazily waking up and snuggling around with the gay birds and bugs until I had my leftovers from last night (which wasn’t much tbh) and then just walked around the con. There was a big space in front of the headless lounge where suiters congregated
so after an hour of exploring, I got my suit and suited up for a bit until the micro/macro meetup. The meetup was kinda lame tbh :( so next, I went to explore the dealers den. It’s a weird feeling because at brony conventions, I know like, half of the dealers in the dealer hall, but at furry conventions, I know very few people, and all of them from the brony fandom.
Surprisingly, I met Braeburned just outside of the dealer’s den, but he wasn’t there vending! I’m glad he got the chance to just explore the con. It’s nice to take a break from what you have always done. Afterwards, I went to a panel called “whose lion is it anyway”, and I was told that it is amazing and hilarious, but I just found it extremely cringy. They just invited people from the audience, and there was one dude who just stared blankly at us and couldn’t figure out what to say, one who just talked about how Trump is bad... it just wasn’t funny for me.
Anyway, after having a small breakfast, and skipping lunch, and suiting for over an hour, I felt very hungry and weak. I went to Bae Bae, which was like a little korean food restaurant, and the food was amazing, but it wasn’t enough to energize me, and I went back to the hotel room and just crashed for over an hour. I went to the zoo at night so that I could meet some other cute birds, like Turbulence
and this chicken
and then it was late so I went back to my hotel room for the night. Saturday: I had a good breakfast after what happened yesterday. I was told that the lasagna wrap was really good at Pizza Parma, but it turned out to actually just be ok, which was disappointing considering how amazing all the other food had been thus far. I walked around the con again for a bit, then went back to the hotel and suited up, and went to the fursuit photoshoot, where we stood for a really long time. I broke the bottoms out of both of my hooves while trying to sit down, so that wasn’t fun. Overall, my suit is actually quite poorly put together :( also I noticed that a lot of time while suiting, I look down and walk carefully because my suit is so cumbersome, so I don’t look very lively or dynamic, and when I do try to strike a pose (like putting my hooves on my cheeks), it looks like I am being defensive rather than cute. Here’s some videos:
https://youtu.be/dyu_pRWvPHs?t=1986
https://youtu.be/OO9sRhN8ANA?t=1968
It was a lot of fun nonetheless, and after desuiting, I went to the Sharp Knife bistro for the bird dinner.
And, again, the food was just ok, although this time I paid $16 for a “just ok” burger, undercooked and underseasoned onion petals, and they charged me an extra $1 because I asked for BBQ sauce..... so overall, just meh. On the way there, I saw this super cringy Subway sign...
After the bird dinner, I was going to go to a Jackbox panel, because I love Jackbox games, but there were like 50 of us in that one room, everyone trying to get in and only 4 succeeding, and the hosts only had Jackbox 1, and spent the first 15 minutes of their 1 hour panel just connecting to the internet, so I left after 15 minutes and went to beep with the birds at the zoo again. I really wanted a milkshake that someone got, but the place closed soon and I didn’t think I could make it in time, so I went back to the hotel room and made drinks for myself... because none of my roommates drank alcohol anymore :( Sunday: For breakfast I went to that milkshake place and got myself a Bananas Foster shake. Then, I suited up and walked around for like... 3 hours. My fan’s battery ran out of juice towards the end of it!
I had some pictures taken of me at a photoshoot (pictures will be coming in the coming weeks!) and then wanted to go to the dealer’s den after de-suiting. I headed to the hotel to take a shower and put my suit away, but my keycard didn’t open the door! Turns out the guy who booked the hotel room had us check out on Sunday rather than on Monday like we agreed, so I had to re-book our hotel room back for another day. Afterwards I got some pizza and hung out in the game room, for a little while, then headed for the riverside with Fleeks and Kitt.
We were the only ones there for a while, but before long the booze and music arrived and we all had a great last day at the con partying and saying our good-byes.
AND NOW THE LOOT!
Actually.... almost no loot. Since I was locked out of my hotel room, I missed the dealer’s den, and it closed right as I returned to the con.
No u
Happy pride month!
I haven’t really been posting much lately... it's not because I've disappeared, I just have been trying new things and trying to learn and get better, which isn't always super interesting to post. Anyway, here's a progress pic of a drawing I'm working on right now.
Hey guys! So, con season is swinging around, and while I plan to attend a whole bunch of them, including bronycon and trotcon, I have decided not to vend at any cons this year. However, I also have purchased a bunch of dakis last year, and I still have pretty much all of them in stock. For this year, I will waive all shipping fees within the continential united states if you buy a daki. There’s probably some of you who couldn’t quite make it to the cons I was vending at, or maybe you don’t go to cons, or you just want another one to add to your collection. Whatever the case, pm me and I can send one your way. Remember, this year only, shipping is free My stock: https://10art1.tk/dakimakura
I made a bunch of cute telegram stickers of my birb :3 I posted some to twitter before, but now I’ll dump them all here as well. As always, you can get more updates if you follow me on twitter @10art1 SFW @real10art1 NSFW
Finished the final (hopefully?) design of my bird, Asimov!
A while back, Der asked me to draw his birb getting smooshed between Ember’s and Rosa’s paws, and now that I am done with college, I finally have the time to draw it! That griff should learn not to get himself in these situations >:v
TL;DR about where to find me
If you like looking only at my art- https://www.furaffinity.net/gallery/10art1/
If you like looking only at my pony art- https://derpibooru.org/search?q=artist%3A10art1&sf=score&sd=desc
If you like my SFW art but also what’s happening in my life- https://twitter.com/10art1
If you like my NSFW art but also what’s happening in my life- https://twitter.com/real10art1
If you watch me stream- https://picarto.tv/10art1
More TBD in the future. PM me if you have suggestions. I don’t want to be too redundant because it is hard to post to a lot of places all the time. For example, I did not list my deviantART because FurAffinity functions just like dA but also allows NSFW, so I will stick to FA.
it’s the day.
D is for diploma! Finally done with college! Friendly reminder, I am slowly transitioning to Twitter due to the new rules. Follow me: SFW: @10art1 NSFW: @real10art1

MFF 2018 Debrief
So, I know that Tumblr is kind of dead now, but despite all that, I still plan on posting my con adventures here, because they are so wordy that Twitter is not a good platform. I definitely will still be chirping away during cons on my new twitters, @10art1 (SFW) and @real10art1 (NSFW), but for big text walls with everything all combined, Tumblr is still the best place for it.
Thursday- Started off worried. I had 2 projects due for MFF weekend, but I worked hard on Wednesday and Thursday to get them out of the way so that I can enjoy MFF unencumbered. I made 2 trips to MFF, due to my own dumbness, because I thought about bringing my art stuff but then decided that I don’t feel like applying for artist alley, so I had to make a second trip just for my toothbrush and phone charger, which I left behind assuming I’d make a 2nd trip anyway. I stayed with some fluffy birds (and a dumb cheesehead) and they invited me to Burd Crew, which I am very thankful for. We went to Hofbraeuhaus for dinner, and I had some good Jaegerschnitzel.
The registration line was long, and the prereg line was even longer! (Yes, it took longer to handle those pre-registered than at-the-door registration).
so I got drunk with the birds and passed out.
Friday- Gyro and Leif woke me up to go wait in line with them at 6am. They told me that if we wake up 4 hours before reg and wait at the start of the line, then it will be worth it. I refused because I passed out drunk at 1am and was in no mood to wait in that line. I woke up later and went to the reg line around 9am. It was loooooong. Like, 3 whole rooms long.
Thankfully I was towards the front of the line and got my badge in ~2 hours, but some people really did wait over 4 hours for their badge. After reg, the flock gathered at the food court and we chirped and ate until 2:30, when I went to the escape room. We smashed the record time with a 35 minute completion, and went to dinner at Park Tavern. If you ever go to MFF, I highly recommend you eat at park tavern. Their animal tots are AMAZING. Also their berry mojito is pretty nice. Saving that recipe for later! I came back to the hotel in search of parties, but unfortunately, there were none :( I did get to meet Violent Jay though!
Juggalos are fascinating. Finally, I suited up and fluffed around with a changeling, and then we snuggled.
Saturday- I ate yesterday’s burger which I ordered but could not finish because I was too hooked on the Animal Tots. I suited up and fluffed around the con and played card games until 1am when there was the fursuit photoshoot. Unfortunately, out of all the random shit I have photographed, the one room with all the cameras has produced no pictures that I can find online! After the fursuit photoshoot, I fluffed around the con, and ended up snuggling up and grinding against another fursuiter so hard, I lost half my ribbons! I was terrified when I got back to my hotel room and realized that my badge only had, like, 7 ribbons on it. Thankfully, I was able to locate it.
Один хрен, за мной одновременно менты пушистились! Бляяяя...
After that, the flock went to a dinner buffet, and we rented out a giant presidential suite to party in, with lots of drinking and party games. I met TWStacker there, who I am now a huge fan of, and someone was drawing everyone free birds, so I drew their bird ovo. In case you don’t know, btw, TWStacker is a dude from Taiwan who apparently was like, the national champion for stacking (that sport where you do the things with the red cups) and now he draws super sexy birds. After the bird party started winding down due to multiple threats from hotel security, I went to the neighboring vore party where someone brought their massive dog who we all cuddled. Then, I returned to my room where everyone was watching shrek, drank a bit more, and we all passed out.
Sunday- Had Brunch at Hofbraeuhaus. This entry will be pretty short because we spent no less than 3 hours there because they were so understaffed. Lots of furries getting their asses paddled, though! After that, I chilled out in the gaming room and had a snack until the sketch swap in the evening. The sketches I drew:
Xeirla’s Rur in a dinosaur costume
A bird, a pon, and a snek beeping
Someone’s cat
Gyro’s bird as a greek statue (in response to him ordering pizza with olives like a fukin greek or something)
