Spoiled Rotten
Summary: Pantalone spoils their daughter Rosaline with extravagant gifts, like a diamond tiara, which annoys his wife. She scolds him for overdoing it, and he agrees to scale back (a little).
A/n: Whaa, thank you fro reading my fics :)))
It was morning in the Regretor's Estate, Pantalone and his daughter sitting on dining table, and the scent of freshly baked pastries filled the air. Rosaline, in her "golden" chair, happily swinging her legs, while chewing on a macaron.
Pantalone, leaning against his chair, helding up a tiara made with sapphires and diamonds.
"And this," his said, his voice smooth as slick, "Is a gift I commissioned just for my little princess. Handcrafted by the finest jewelers in Fontaine."
Rosaline's eyes lit up like stars, her chubby hands reaching out to grab the tiara, "It's so shiny, Daddy! Can I wear it now?"
"Of cource, my little star" Pantalone said happily, placing the tiara on her head. He adjusted it slightly, before looking at his daughter, "Perfect, you look like you belong on throne of the teyvat itself"
It was very sweet, if not for the fact that you were standing in the doorway with your arms crossed, watching your husband spoil your daughter as if mora grows on trees. (Well, maybe it did for him, but that wasn't the point)
"Pantalone," you called,
He turned to you with that innocent smile, the one he always used when he knew he was caught doing something you werenât going to like. âYes, my dear?â
âDo you really think giving a six-year-old a diamond tiara is normal?âHe blinked, in confusion. âWhy not? It suits her perfectly, doesnât it? Look at her; sheâs glowing.â
âYeah, sheâs glowing because sheâs wearing something worth more than half the properties in Liyue.â You stepped further into the room, gesturing to the tiara.
Rosaline, sensing the impending lecture, slid off her chair and clutched her new tiara protectively. âMommy, donât take it away! Daddy gave it to me!â
âOh, sweetheart, Iâm not taking it away,â you reassured her, crouching down to her level. âBut you donât need a tiara to be special, okay? Youâre already the most amazing little girl without all the sparkly stuff.â
âBut itâs sparkly and pretty,â she argued with a pout, her big eyes doing their best to convince you.
You sighed, defeated, and glanced back at Pantalone, who was now conveniently pretending to inspect the macarons as if this whole thing wasnât his doing. âPantalone.â
âYes, my love?â
âYou canât keep doing this. Sheâs gonna grow up thinking this is normal, and then what happens when sheâs older? What if she expects a tiara every Tuesday?â
He chuckled softly, moving closer to you and gently placing a hand on your shoulder. âSheâs our daughter, my dear. She deserves the best. Besides, Iâd rather she expect Mora than heartbreak.â
You rolled your eyes but couldnât help the small smile tugging at your lips. He always had a way of sweet-talking you, damn him.
âOkay, philosopher. But maybe next time, try showing her you care in ways that donât involve jewels.â
âUnderstood.â He pressed a light kiss to your forehead, but you knew better than to believe him fully.
âAlso, weâre putting a limit on these extravagant gifts,â you added, poking his chest for emphasis. âOne ridiculously expensive thing per month. Maybe.â
âOne per quarter,â he teased, earning a glare from you.
âMonth, Pantalone.â
âFine, fine,â he relented, laughing as he raised his hands in surrender.
Rosaline, ran back to Pantalone and tugged on his pant leg. âDaddy, can we have tea now? You promised weâd have tea with the new set you got me!â
âOf course, my little star.â He scooped her up effortlessly, twirling her around as her laughter filled the room.
~ When Alina has a crush on Chongyun, but... Capitano seems to be hesitant.
A/n: Ight, another father!capitano fanfiction, since all of you loved it hehe
The night in Snezhnaya was quiet. It was a peaceful evening, but in the Capitano Mansion (please recommend me what will the mansion be named) the atmosphere in there was anything but calm. Capitano, who's pacing back and forth, his thoughts clouded. His large frame would cast long shadows against the walls, the dim light flickering with his every movement and you who's just sitting there dumbfounded, but giggling inside. It wasnnnnn't often that capitano felt out of control, especially when it comes to his daughter. But today was different.
"Father, I told you, I'm going to spend the day with chongyun," Alina, said. Alina and Chongyun had met a year ago, when she wandered into the marketplace. It wasn't unusual for her to explore on her own, especially since she loved meeting new people. That's when she first saw him. Chongyung. He stood by a food stall, carefully choosing popsicles to replenish his energy in the warm sunny day. He looked so serious and focused that Alina couldn't help but giggle quietly. She awlays had been attracted to those people who carried a quiet strength. "Excuse me,â she said, approaching him. "Are you buying all the popsicles? Save some for the rest for us!" Chongyun looked up,startled, but his expression quickly softened. "Oh-, uh, No! I wasn't- I mean, I just like these because they help me.. um.., stay balanced." "Balanced?" Alina tilted her head. Chongyun awkwardly explained his condition. By the end of their conversation, Chongyun was holding out one of his popsicles to her as a peace offering. "For you," he said, his ears turning red. When Alina returned home that evening, there was an... unusual brightness in her step. Capitano noticed it immediately , she hummed a cheerful tone as she helped you set the table, a dreamy look in her eyes. "What's gotten into her?" Capitano asked you in his usual gruff tone, "She's growing up, honey," you replied with a chuckle, nudging him playfully."Don't tell me you're surprised." Capitano frowned but said nothng. The next day, Capitano decided to accompany Alina on her walk to the marketplace. You confronted about Capitano about what he was about to do, he listened... but still did it. He loves you... but also loves his daughter and her safety, and yours too. He disguised himself as an ordinary villager, donning a simple cloak that his his figure. Alina didn't suspect a thing, until she noticed him standing stiffly behind a stall as she approached chongyun again.
"Father? What are you doing here?" Alina asked, her voice a mix of surprised and embarassment."I was... in the area," Capitano replied, his tone betraying nothing.
Chongyun, who's oblivious to Capitano's disguise, greeted Alina with his smile. "Good to see you again, Alina." Before Alina could respond, Capitano stepped forward, towering over Chongyun. "and who are you?" he asked, his deep voice sending a shiver through him. Chongyun blinked, clearly intimidated, "I'm Chongyun, an exorcist from liyue. Alina and I met yesterday."
Capitano's eyes narrowed. "An exorcist you say? And what business do you have with my daughter?" "Father!" Alina interjected, her cheeks red from emberassment. "We're just friends!" Capitano crossed his arms , him just standing infront of the marketplace made everyone eerily silent. "I have no ill intentions," Chonyun said earnestly. "Alina is kind, and I enjoy her company."
The honest answer in his voice caught Capitano off guard. He wasn't used to people speaking so freely in his presence. Later that evening, your husband was sitting on his office while you we're roaming around to find a book you wanted to read.
You can hear the tap of his foot while he sits, making you ask him "What's wrong?" you asked, though you already had a good idea. "It's Alina... she's too young for this," he grumbled. You smiled knowingly. "She's old enough to meet people she likes... You can't protect her from everything."
Capitano sighed heavily, "It's not just that. She's our daughter. I don't want her to grow up too fast." You walked over and cupped his face. "She's growing up, yes, but she'll always be our Alina. Trust her to make good choices and from what I saw, Chongyun seems like a fine young man." The next day, Capitano approached Chongyun in private. "You seem like a honest boy," Capitano began, "But if you hurt my daughter-" "I won't!" Chongyun blurted out, his face red with embarassment. "I mean, I wouldn't. Alina is...special. I'd never do anything to hurt her." Capitano stared at him for a moment before nodding. "Good. Because if you do, you'll have to answer me." Chonyung gulped but nodded, "Understood, sir."
A/n: I never proofread my works lmao, but yea.. I hope you enjoyed this everyone!

Summary: You gave him the silent treatment after he ditched a planned date for beetle fighting.
You stood at the edge of the pier, arms crossed, staring out at the sea with your back turned.
The wind rustled through your hair, but your thoughts were on the big boyfriend oni who was supposed to be standing right next to you.
Instead, he'd bailed... for a beetle fight. Again. "Iâll win this time, babe, promise! Then we can go on our date right after!" were his exact words that morning.
Yet here you wereâalone. The sunset had started to turn the sky in shades of orange and pink, and there was still no sign of your boyfriend.
Suddenly, a familiar voice called out, all loud as always. "Heyyyy! There she is! My favorite girl in all of Inazuma!"
You didnât turn around. Not even a glance.
You heard him approach, his footsteps heavy, practically stomping with excitement. "Yo, babe! Check it outâI got this huuuuge victory today! Oni Kabuto... unbeatable! You shoulda seen the crowd! They were goin' wild! I was like, 'Boom!' and thenâ"
...
Silence. No reaction from you. You simply shifted your weight to your other foot, eyes still fixed on the horizon.
Itto blinked, scratching the back of his head, his expression faltering just a bit. "Uh... babe?" He leaned down a little, trying to catch a glimpse of your face. "Y'know... I came as fast as I could! I was gonna win quick and come running over, but, uh... that beetle fight was intense! You know how it is, right? You understand!"
Still nothing. You didnât even give him a 'hmph.'
Itto's face fell into a full-blown pout. "Aw, c'mon! Youâre not mad, are ya? Youâre totally mad. I can tell." He knelt down in front of you now, trying to meet your eyes.
"But babe, it was for the gang! You know the Arataki Gangâs gotta stay on top of the beetle fight scene! I thought youâd be proud of me!"
You kept your arms crossed, staring straight ahead.
Your lips pressed into a thin line. You had been looking forward to today, excited to spend some time together just the two of you. And then... beetles.
"I swear I didnât mean to bail on our date! I really thought itâd be quick! Honest!" Itto shifted nervously, starting to sweat.
He had faced down monsters, rival gang members, even Kujou Sara herselfâbut the silent treatment from you? Yeah, that was a whole new level of terror. "Alright, alright!" He shot up to his feet, throwing his hands in the air dramatically. "I get it! Iâm the worst boyfriend ever! Iâve failed you!" His voice cracked with exaggerated emotion.
"Punish me as you see fit!"
Still no response.
"Ahhh! This silence is killing me! You know I hate when you ignore me!" He fumbled, shifting from foot to foot.
"Please, just say somethinââanything! Even if itâs to tell me Iâm the biggest idiot in all of Inazuma!"
Finally, after what felt like an eternity, you sighed softly. "You forgot about me. Again."
Itto froze. His eyes widened as your words finally broke the wall of silence. "What?! No way! I could never forget about you, babe!" He rubbed the back of his neck sheepishly.
"Itâs just... sometimes I get a liiittle caught up in the heat of battle, ya know? Beetles, brawls, you name itâbut I never forget about you. Youâre... you're way more important than all of that!"
You raised an eyebrow, finally turning to look at him. "Oh? More important than beetles?"
"Wayyyy more important!" Itto nodded furiously, his eyes wide with sincerity. "I mean, come on! Oni Kabuto are cool and all, but they donât even come close to how amazing you are!" He grinned, showing off his fangs as he clasped his hands together. "You're smart, you're beautiful, you make the best snacks... And you can beat me at games when you actually try!"
You bit your lip, trying not to smile. But he was so ridiculous, so earnest... it was hard to stay mad.
Itto noticed the slight twitch of your lips and gasped dramatically. "Waitâare you smiling?! Does that mean Iâm forgiven?!" He pumped his fist in the air. "YES! The Arataki Itto charm works again!"
You couldnât help but let out a small laugh at his antics. "I didnât say youâre completely off the hook, Itto."
"Aw man! So, uh... what do I gotta do to make it up to ya, huh?" His eyes sparkled with determination. "Whatever you want, name it! More dates? Iâll plan âem out this time, promise! Dinner on me? You want snacks? A full beetle collection?"
You shook your head, finally softening. "You really think a beetle collection is going to fix this?"
"...No?" He blinked innocently. "How about... we finish our date properly? Just the two of us. No beetles."
Ittoâs grin stretched ear to ear. "You got it! No beetles, no gang, no distractions. Just you and me!"
He flexed his muscles, puffing out his chest. "The one and oni Arataki Itto is at your service!"
You smiled for real this time, taking his hand. "Good. Letâs go, big guy."

Summary: Childe getting jealous when his own childe wants more attention from his Uncle (Capitano).
The northern wind whistled through the pine trees surrounding your Snezhnayan home, the chill in the air a familiar comfort.
Inside, however, it was warm and filled with laughter. Your childâs giggles rang through the cozy living room as they played with none other than Uncle Capitano, a rare guest but always an admired one.
You leaned against the doorframe, watching with a smile as your little one ran circles around Capitano, their tiny feet pattering on the wooden floor as they squealed, "Come on, Uncle Cap! Catch me!"
Capitano, usually so stern and imposing, actually indulged the game. His heavy armor clinked softly as he leaned down, extending his hands out, pretending to lumber after your child like a slow giant. "Youâre fast, little one, but not fast enough to escape the Captain of the Fatui."
The sheer joy on your childâs face was heartwarming, but you couldnât help noticing a slight⌠tension from the other side of the room.
Childe sat slouched in a chair, arms crossed over his chest, lips in a thin line. His bright blue eyes, usually full of mischief and confidence, were narrowed as he watched the interaction unfold.
"You know, y/n, this whole âUncle Capâ thing is getting a little out of hand." His voice carried a hint of annoyance, though his tone remained light, almost playful. He wasnât truly upsetânot yetâbut he was teetering on the edge. You stifled a laugh, turning to him with a raised brow. "Jealous, Childe?"
"Me? Jealous? Please." He scoffed, though the slight edge to his tone betrayed him. "Iâm just saying⌠our kidâs got the strongest, fastest warrior in all of Snezhnaya right here."
He motioned to himself with a smirk, clearly trying to keep his pride intact. "But no, theyâd rather run around with that hunk of iron."
His words were low, muttered under his breath as Capitano let out a rare, deep chuckle in response to something your child said. The sight of your tiny child standing in front of the towering Capitano, who could crush armies with a wave of his hand, was almost comical.
Childe, though, was clearly not impressed. His foot tapped against the floor, a restless energy simmering just beneath his skin. You knew that look all too wellâyour husband, the proud Harbinger, the man who thrived on competition, was not enjoying the fact that his own child was choosing someone else to look up to at this moment.
You walked over to him, placing a hand on his shoulder and giving it a reassuring squeeze.
"They just like him because heâs different. You know youâre still their favorite." Childe glanced up at you, his pout softening slightly as he looked into your eyes. "Yeah, well, it doesnât feel that way when theyâre running around calling him âUncle Capâ like heâs the hero of their story." You bit back a laugh.
"Well, you canât exactly blame them. Capitanoâs pretty impressive." Childe groaned dramatically, throwing his head back. "Oh, donât you start too!"
"Papa! Look!" Your childâs voice cut through the moment, and you both turned just in time to see them hop onto Capitanoâs armored shoulders, wobbling slightly as they found their balance. "Uncle Cap is giving me a ride!"
Capitano stood tall, carefully balancing your child as they beamed down at Childe with pride. "See? Iâm taller than you now, Papa!"
That did it.
Childeâs eyes narrowed in a way that was both playful and competitive. He stood up quickly, brushing off the imaginary dust from his pants as if preparing for battle. "Oh? You think youâre taller now, huh? Well, letâs see how fast you are."
Before you could blink, Childe had crossed the room, his usual fluid grace on full display as he scooped your child up from Capitanoâs shoulders with ease, flipping them into the air with a delighted squeal.
"But can Uncle Cap do this?" Childe grinned, tossing your child up again before catching them securely. Your little one burst into laughter, their small arms wrapping around Childeâs neck as they hugged him tight. "Papa! Papa! Do it again!"
Childeâs grin widened, his earlier annoyance forgotten. He shot a triumphant look at Capitano, who remained stoic as ever, though you could have sworn you saw a slight twitch at the corner of his mouth. "See, snookums? Told you. Iâm still the best."
You laughed, shaking your head as you watched Childe swing your child around, both of them giggling like mad.
It was hard not to admire the ease with which Childe could switch between playful father and the battle-hardened warrior youâd met years ago.
His pride, however, was another story. As your child continued to cling to Childe, Capitano approached you with slow, deliberate steps.
His towering presence was always impressive, but you had grown used to it over time. "He is an excellent father," Capitano said, his deep voice rumbling in a way that was both respectful and amused.
"I see where the little one gets their energy." You chuckled softly. "Oh, you have no idea." Childe, overhearing Capitanoâs remark, called back with a smirk.
"Of course, Iâm the best at everything I do. Even being a dad."
"Papa!"
Your child interrupted again, tugging at Childeâs shirt. "Can we go outside and play with the wooden swords? I wanna show Uncle Cap how strong I am!" Childeâs smirk faltered just for a second, and you could almost hear the tiny crack in his pride.
"Wooden swords, huh?" Childe mused, crouching down to meet his childâs eyes. "Why donât you and I show him together? Weâll show Uncle Cap just how strong the Ajax family really is."
Your childâs eyes lit up. "Yeah! Letâs do that!"
Childe stood up, looking over at Capitano with a challenging glint in his eyes. "Think you can handle a sparring match, Uncle Cap?"
Capitano crossed his arms over his broad chest, giving a slight nod. "Iâll try not to hold back, for the sake of the little one." "Donât worry," Childe shot back with a grin, ruffling his childâs hair.
"We wonât hold back either." You smiled to yourself as you watched the three of them head outside, the playful rivalry between Childe and Capitano now fully ignited. No matter how much Childe grumbled about it, you knew he loved every moment of being a father, even when his pride took a little hit.
And honestly? Seeing him fight to be your childâs hero just made you love him even more.
a/n: ugh, pretty boy childe and dil- i mean capitano <3
Summary: You and childe finally got an alone time after Childe came home home from an exhausting work. Just when you two get all intimate, your little one wants to show his work!
The gentle sound of rain hitting the window filled your comfortable home.
The evening had settled into a comfortable quiet, and for once, it was just you and Childe. No Fatui business, no battlesâjust a sweet moment where the two of you could get an alone time.
Childe leaned back on the bed, his signature grin playing on his lips as he glanced at you. There was always that spark in his eyes, the one that told you he was up to something, even when he wasnât saying a word. He reached out, fingers grazing your wrist before sliding up your arm, his touch light, teasing. âYâknow, y/n,â he murmured, voice low and smooth, âI think weâve earned a little time for ourselves. Donât you agree?â You smiled, feeling your heart race just a bit faster. Childe always had a way of making things feel... electric. You nodded, leaning into him slightly, your fingers tracing over his chest. "I do," you whispered back, the tension between you building as your bodies drew closer.
His grin widened as he closed the distance, pressing his forehead against yours. "Good," he whispered, voice dropping to that rough, almost dangerous tone he used when he was fully focused on somethingâor someone. His lips brushed against yours, just a hint of a kiss, before pulling back. âBecause Iâve been waiting for this.âYou could feel the heat rise in your cheeks as your hand rested on the back of his neck, pulling him closer.
His lips met yours again, this time deeper, more intense. His hand slid down your back, pulling you against him with a strength that was both gentle and commanding.
Just when things were about to go further, the door burst open with a loud thud. âMom! Dad! Look what I drew!â Both of you froze.
Childeâs lips were still barely an inch from yours when his eyes shot open, the tension evaporating in an instant. He blinked, then slowly turned his head to the doorway, where your child stood holding up a crayon drawing, oblivious to the situation they had just barged into.
There was a pauseâa beat of silenceâbefore Childe pulled away from you with a dramatic sigh, running a hand through his hair. âAh, timing. Perfect as always.â His voice was laced with both amusement and frustration.
You couldnât help but stifle a laugh, quickly sitting up and straightening your clothes, while your little one bounced over to the bed, completely unaware of what they had interrupted.
âLook! I made a drawing of a monster, but the hero beats it!â Your child held the paper out to Childe with all the pride in the world.
Childe chuckled, his usual confidence returning as he sat up and took the drawing. âWell, well, let me see this masterpiece.â He leaned in, inspecting the paper with exaggerated interest.
âNow this is what I like to seeâa hero that takes down the monster with style. Just like your old man, huh?â Your child giggled, climbing onto the bed between you both. âYeah! Like you, Dad!â Childe smirked, ruffling their hair. âThatâs right. Takes a lot of practice, though. Maybe when youâre older, Iâll show you a few moves.â He glanced at you, his tone teasing, but there was that soft glint of affection in his eyes.
You smiled, watching the two of them together. Moments like these made your heart swellâdespite Childeâs reputation as a fierce warrior, he was always so tender with your child. The earlier tension was forgotten, replaced by the warmth of your little family.
Still, when your child ran off to show their drawing to one of their toys, Childe leaned back on his elbows and shot you a lookâone full of mischievous intent. "Guess weâre going to have to be a little quicker next time, huh?" His tone was light, but there was that edge of playfulness, like he was already planning the next time youâd have a moment alone.
You raised an eyebrow, trying not to laugh. "Or we could just lock the door next time, Ajax. "Childe let out a soft chuckle, his eyes narrowing with a glint of mischief. âWhereâs the fun in that? Besides,â he leaned in close, his breath warm against your ear, âyou know I like a challenge.â
You rolled your eyes but couldnât help the smile creeping onto your face. âYou and your battlesâŚâHe shrugged with a smirk, clearly pleased with himself.
âHey, itâs what Iâm good at. But donât worry, snookums,â his voice dropped lower, âthis oneâs not over yet.â Before you could respond, your childâs voice rang out from the next room. âMom! Dad! Can you help me find more paper?â Childe groaned dramatically, flopping back onto the bed. âWell, looks like weâve been called to another mission.â You laughed, resting your head on his chest, feeling the steady rise and fall of his breathing.
Summary: Capitano and his wife (Fem!Reader) decide to go on a long-overdue date, leaving their young daughter Alina in the care of Arlecchino, despite Alina's initial hesitation about the "scary lady." To ease the evening, Arlecchino introduces Alina to Lyney, Lynette, and Freminet, who quickly win her over with magic tricks and playful charm.
The night had settled over Snezhnaya, its icy grip lingering in the air, though inside your home, warmth and laughter filled the space.
You sat on the couch, watching your daughter, Alina, spinning in circles with a blanket tied around her neck like a makeshift cape.
Her raven-black hair, so much like her fatherâs, bounced with each twirl.âLook, Mama! Iâm just like Papa!â she giggled, pretending to swing an imaginary sword.Â
You chuckled, your heart swelling with love as you adjusted the "cape" that had started to slip from her shoulders. âAlina, tonight, your papa and I are going out, so we need someone to watch over you.â Alina stopped twirling, her tiny brow furrowing in confusion.
âWhy canât I come?â Before you could answer, the familiar sound of heavy footsteps approached. In the doorway, your husbandâCapitano, stood with his intimidating figure. His armored silhouette filled the room, and though his face was hidden behind his dark mask, you could feel the affection in his gaze as he looked at the both of you.
âNot this time, little one,â Capitano said, his voice gentle despite its deep timbre. He walked over and picked Alina up with ease, her small hands resting on his chest plate. âYour mother and I need some time alone. But donât worryâweâll have a day just for us soon.âAlina pouted, crossing her arms. âBut whoâs going to watch me? No one else is as strong as you, Papa.â
You exchanged a quick look with Capitano, both of you knowing that the next part might come as a surprise. âIâve asked Arlecchino to look after you tonight,â he said, carefully watching Alinaâs reaction. Her eyes widened. âThe scary lady?â she whispered, glancing over your shoulder as if expecting Arlecchino to pop out of the shadows.
Arlecchino, known for her strict, no-nonsense demeanor, was an intimidating presence to most, especially to a little girl like Alina. Yet, despite her rough exterior, she had shown a strange fondness for your daughter in the few interactions theyâd had.
Still, leaving your precious child in her care for the night felt like a big step.âSheâs not that scary,â you said, trying to ease Alinaâs worries. âAnd sheâs bringing some friends with herâLyney, Lynette, and Freminet. Remember? Theyâre really nice, and I think youâll have a lot of fun with them.âAt the mention of new playmates, Alinaâs expression brightened. âThe magician and the diver? Really?â
Capitano smiled behind his mask, pleased to see her excitement returning. âYes, really. But you have to be on your best behavior.ââI will!â Alina nodded eagerly, already distracted by the thought of Lyneyâs magic tricks and Freminetâs mechanical gadgets.
As if on cue, a knock sounded at the door. You stood to open it, your heart skipping a beat when you saw Arlecchino standing there, her sharp eyes scanning the room. She stepped inside, her dark cloak billowing slightly as she glanced between you, Capitano, and Alina.
âYouâre late,â Arlecchino said with her usual bluntness, though there was no malice in her tone. âAre you ready?âCapitano stepped forward, his hand resting on Alinaâs back as he handed her off to Arlecchinoâs care. âWe trust youâll keep her safe.âArlecchinoâs lips twitched into a small, barely noticeable smirk. âOf course. Sheâll be fine with me.â
Alina hesitated for a moment, her wide eyes looking up at the intimidating woman before her. But when the door opened again, and three familiar faces walked in, her fear melted away.
Lyney, âAh, the famous Alina! Iâve heard youâre quite the little knight.â
Lynette, gave her a small wave, while Freminet, shy as ever, offered a soft smile from behind his mechanical device.Alina beamed at them, her excitement bubbling over.
âAre you going to show me magic?â she asked Lyney, practically bouncing on her toes.
Lyney grinned, pulling a small card from behind her ear with a flick of his wrist. âOnly if you promise not to figure out all my secrets.â As Alina laughed, utterly captivated by Lyneyâs charm, you felt a sense of relief wash over you. She would be in good hands tonight.
You glanced at Capitano, who nodded slightly in agreement. With that, you turned to Arlecchino, giving her a grateful smile. âThank you.â Arlecchino shrugged, as if the whole ordeal was nothing to her. âIâll keep her entertained.â With one last look at Alina, who was now fully engrossed in Lyneyâs tricks, you and Capitano stepped out into the cold Snezhnayan night.
The streets of Snezhnaya were quieter than usual, the snow crunching softly beneath your boots as you and Capitano walked side by side. It felt surreal, almost like stepping back in time to your early days together, when the weight of the world hadnât yet settled on your shoulders.
Tonight, you werenât the feared Captain and his wife. You were just two people, enjoying a long-overdue night out. As you approached the quiet restaurant where your first date had taken place, Capitano finally spoke, his deep voice cutting through the silence. âDo you remember this place?â
You smiled softly, looking up at the modest building, the warm glow from inside spilling out onto the snow-covered street. âOf course. How could I forget?â
That first date had been simple but perfect. It was before all the complications of Fatui life, before Alina had come into your world and changed everything. Back then, you and Capitano were still figuring out who you were to each other. âBack then, I didnât think weâd get this far,â Capitano admitted, his tone quieter than usual. You turned to look at him, surprised by the vulnerability in his voice. âWhat do you mean?â
âI was so focused on my duties, on being who the Tsaritsa needed me to be. I didnât think I had room for more.â He paused, reaching up to remove his mask. For a moment, you could see the man behind the titleâthe man you fell in love with. âBut then, you showed me I could have both.â Your heart swelled with warmth as you stepped closer, placing your hand on his cheek.
For a moment, it felt like the rest of the world melted away. It was just the two of you, standing in the cold but warmed by each otherâs presence. Capitanoâs hand rested gently on your waist, pulling you closer until your foreheads touched. âThank you,â he whispered, his voice barely audible over the soft wind.
âFor what?â âFor staying by my side. For giving me a family.â You smiled, your heart full. âI wouldnât want to be anywhere else.â
Back at home, Alina was thoroughly enjoying her evening with Lyney, Lynette, and Freminet.
The three siblings had quickly become her new favorite people, especially Lyney, who had already shown her several tricks she couldnât begin to understand. âCan you teach me how to do that?â she asked, eyes wide with wonder as Lyney made a coin disappear.
Lyney grinned, leaning down to whisper, âMaybe one day, when youâre older. Magic takes patience.â Arlecchino, watching from the corner with her usual stern expression, couldnât help but feel a twinge of amusement at how easily the performers had won Alina over. She had anticipated the evening to be more of a chore, but Alina seemed to have a way of softening, even the most hard-bitten individuals.
As the night wore on and Alina began to grow sleepy, curled up beside Freminet who was showing her one of his gadgets, Arlecchino stood and walked over, her bunny slippers (Bruh, i donât want arlecchino to wear THAT heels for 24 hrs) slapping softly on the floor.
âTime for bedâ she said, her tone firm but not unkind. Alina yawned, rubbing her eyes but nodding obediently. âWill you tell Papa I was good?â Arlecchinoâs smirk returned. âIâll tell him you were better than good.â With that, Alina drifted off, the warmth of the night still lingering as she fell asleep, dreaming of magic and knights.
Summary: Capitano brings his daughter to a Harbinger meeting because you are currently sick. The Harbingers are surprised, and Alina(daughter) was in awe about the 11th harbingerâs eyes, calling them "water eyes." Her innocence softens everyone in the room, even making Childe smile.
The Fatui headquarters in Snezhnaya had never felt more stunning to you than on this cold, dull day. The wind howled through the snow-covered streets, rattling against the windows of your shared home as you lay beneath the blankets, your skin warm and flushed with fever. Your body ached, and the weight of exhaustion pressed heavily upon you.
The usually soothing presence of your husband, Capitano, was missing, and your mind couldn't help but wander to where he was at that moment. You knew exactly where: in a meeting with the other Harbingers. Normally, your little family was kept separate from such matters, and you were more than happy with that arrangement. However, this time was different. Your husband had left for his duties this morning, leaving you alone with your lively, energetic childâyour precious two-year-old daughter, Alina.
Normally, handling her joyful spirit was a joy you cherished, but in your current state, every giggle and playful grab for your attention felt like a backbreaking task.
You hadnât expected to fall ill, and you certainly hadnât expected Capitano to be needed at a Harbinger meeting so urgently.
As Alina toddled toward you, her tiny hands reaching for your cheek, you smiled weakly. "Mama's okay, sweetheart," you whispered, though you barely had the strength to lift your hand to stroke her hair.
In the midst of your thoughts, the sound of heavy footsteps approached the door. Capitano returned. His dark armor and massive frame filled the doorway, but his expression softened the moment he saw your state. He quickly approached the bed, his voice low with concern.
"You shouldâve called for me sooner," he murmured, kneeling beside you and placing a large, gloved hand on your forehead to check your temperature.
"I didnât want to bother youâŚ" you whispered. "Besides, I thought I could manageâŚ"Capitanoâs frown deepened, his brows furrowing behind his mask. âYou and Alina come first, always.
âAlina, who had been playing with one of her fatherâs gloves, immediately perked up at the sight of him, toddling over to tug at his cloak. âPapa!â
His stern expression softened as he scooped up his daughter in one arm, effortlessly holding her tiny body against his broad chest. The sight made your heart swell. For a man feared across nations, Capitano had always been gentle with his family.
But his position's reality was drawing near. There was no way to skip today's meeting because Capitano was still a Harbinger. He stood with Alina still in his arms, his gaze lingering on you as if weighing a decision.
âYouâre too ill to take care of Alina alone,â he finally said. âIâll take her with me.
âYou blinked in surprise, a small laugh escaping your lips despite the ache in your body. "To⌠to the Harbinger meeting?" Capitanoâs eyes flashed with resolve. âYes. There is no safer place for her than by my side.â The thought of your two-year-old daughter sitting among the most fearsome figures in TeyvatâDottore, Pantalone, Arlecchino, Pierroâwas both amusing and absurd. Yet, you trusted Capitano implicitly. If anyone could protect her, it was him. With a weak nod, you relented.
âAlright, but⌠keep her out of trouble.â Capitanoâs lips twitched upward in the faintest hint of a smile behind his mask. "Of course."
The grand meeting room in the Fatuiâs main fortress(?) was as intimidating as ever, filled with the cold air and tension. The Harbingers were standing around a long table.
As he readied himself to address the group, Pierro, the Director, stood at the head of the table, his gaze calculating and sharp. It was a rare occasion for all the Harbingers to gather, and naturally, it came with an air of importance.
But this time, something was⌠different.
As the grand doors creaked open, every Harbinger turned their attention toward the figure that entered. Capitano, the fearsome 1st Harbinger, marched into the room as usual, his broad figure cloaked in black, his presence as intimidating as ever.
But then they saw it. Perched in his arm, clinging to his cloak, was a tiny child. Her bright, curious eyes scanned the room as she pointed at various Harbingers, muttering incoherently in the way only toddlers could. Silence fell over the room. Pantalone, was the first to break the stunned quiet, his lips quirking into an amused smirk.
"Well, well, Capitano. I didnât realize our meeting was so⌠casual today." Dottoreâs eyes gleamed with interest behind his mask, Already figuring out the numerous of questions he wanted to ask about this new âsubject.â "A curious specimen," he muttered to himself, though loud enough for everyone to hear. Arlecchinoâs sharp gaze flickered between the child and Capitano. "Youâve brought a child to a Harbinger meeting?" Capitano remained unbothered by their reactions. He walked calmly to his position, his daughter still sitting comfortably on his arm.
As he took his place at the table, Alina immediately started fiddling with a piece of his armor, completely unaware of the danger and power surrounding her. "Her mother is unwell," Capitano stated simply, his voice firm and leaving no room for argument. "I will take responsibility for her here."Pierro, merely raised an eyebrow. "I trust this will not interfere with the proceedings?"
"Not at all," Capitano replied. He glanced down at Alina, who was now inspecting his gauntlets with great interest. The tension slowly lifted as the meeting proceeded, though more than a few of the Harbingers kept stealing glances at the toddler on Capitanoâs arm. Occasionally, she would giggle or reach for something on the table, and each time, Capitano would gently redirect her attention with a soft murmur. The sight of the mighty Captain doting on his daughter in the middle of such a grim meeting was a scene none of the Harbingers had ever imagined.
Even the rigid Pierro seemed slightly amused, though he hid it well behind his usual stoicism. As the discussion deepened, Alina's attention wandered to the other Harbingers. She stared at each of them in turn, her tiny fingers still gripping her fatherâs cloak. But it was when her gaze landed on the 11th Harbinger, Childe, that she froze.
She simply *stared* at him, her wide eyes fixed on his face, in particular his bright, ocean-colored eyes. Childe, who had been following the meeting intently, slowly noticed the unwavering stare of the tiny girl.Â
A mischievous smile tugged at the corner of his lips. "Whatâs this? Have I caught the little oneâs attention?" Alina didnât blink. Her mouth parted slightly in wonder as she continued to gaze at him, transfixed. In her short life, she had never seen eyes like Childeâs. They reminded her of the stories you would tell her about the oceanâvast and blue, endless and beautiful. To her, Childeâs eyes seemed like a whole world she wanted to explore. "Papa," she whispered, pointing at Childe. "Eyes like waterâŚ"A murmur of surprise rippled through the room.
Even Arlecchino, normally one to show little emotion, blinked and softened at the innocent awe in Alinaâs voice. Childe, too, was caught off guard.
His usual cocky demeanor faltered for a moment as he looked at the small child, her innocent wonder disarming him completely. "Well, I suppose thatâs one way to describe them," he said, his smile gentler than before. "Didnât expect to be admired by such a little lady today. "Capitanoâs hand rested protectively on Alinaâs back, but he said nothing, his eyes shifting toward Childe. Alina, however, was too young to understand. She simply continued to stare, still fascinated by Childeâs eyes. When the meeting finally came to a close, she tugged at Capitanoâs cloak and whispered again, âPapa⌠can I have water eyes too?â
Arlecchino allowed herself a rare, fleeting smile, her eyes softening as she watched the childâs pure, unfiltered curiosity. As he prepared to leave, he looked down at his daughter and whispered gently, âYou have eyes far more beautiful than the ocean, little one.â
