What Journaling For A Year Has Taught Me
• it doesn’t have to be aesthetically pleasing. Every time I ever tried journaling before, I cared so much about hand writing and cute little details. But it’s my journal. Nobody is gonna see it but me. And now that I’ve done a year, I’m starting to naturally make it cuter, bit by bit. Because I love the idea of cute journal spreads
• it’s alright to change things up. My journal is never the same month to month. Sometimes I write a lot or a little. Sometimes I track certain things and other times I don’t.
• I love an ecosystem Totally not necessary, but I love organizing my thoughts into a few journals. I have one for my everyday life, my spiritual stuff (meditation and manifestations), and one for important moments in my life.
• I notice small moments a lot more in my life there’s so much beauty I notice now, that I used to ignore. I have a section in my journal dedicated to small good moments. Jokes, pretty views, impromptu conversations.
• I realize I’m improving every day, even though sometimes it doesn’t feel that way. I track my life now and I have a way to look back and see proof of progress. Even when I feel like I’m spinning my wheels
• my emotions don’t fester as often when I’m upset about something, I used to just ruminate on them. Now I write them down and it is a great way to release negative energy
