BUT YOU DON’T GET THIS as a Latin American it’s really weird to see that people are surprised by a black couple dancing Latin rhythms just because this kind of music was in fact created by black people and indigenous Americans!!! Salsa, zamba, cumbia and merengue are dance styles that dark skinned people created in the new mestizo lands that are now known as Latin America. It’s difficult for me to understand that Americans don’t associate this rhythms with black culture since IT WAS PARTIALLY CREATED BY THEM!! Black folks in this part of the world still create this music and bring all the SABOR to the dance floor, it’s amazing!!
