You and Kili we're walking through the woods trying to find the rest of the company. How you all got separated is against you. Now you are walking through the woods trying not to run into any elves.
Kili was trying to make a joke. You were far from laughing not knowing where your friends were at or if they were okay.
"Get it?" Kili asks with a laugh. You turn and pull your sword and point it at Kili. Your eyes were wet and you clenched your sword. Your friends were lost, you were lost and that made you uncomfortable. How could he laugh in a time like this. You took a step forward and stared him down as you growled.
"Can you be serious for one second?"
Kili's face fell as he saw your tear stained cheeks. He stood a bit straighter and pushed your blade from his chest as he pulled you close. "I am sorry dear I did not mean to make you cry. We will find them we will be okay," He pulls back and holds your shoulders. ",we are stubborn creatures us dwarves. It would take more than the Mirkwood forest to take us down." He smiles at you brown eyes warm and comforting. You turn your back to him and keep walking not letting him see you smile. You keep walking acting like you don't miss the warm feeling of his hands on your shoulders.
Off in the distance you hear a voice shout for everyone to stop talking and you rush to the sound. As you get near you find giant spiders that are attacking the company. Blade drawn you start to attack. As you kill one you come face to face with an elf his arrow pointing at Thorin "Do not think I will not kill you dwarf, it would be a pleasure."
Yelling is heard off in the distance and Fili yells "Kili!" I try to rush over but a different elf points their bow and arrow at me.
Soon Kili is brought back over to the group and we are stripped of our weapons and walked to the castle. I glared at Kili. "What was that comment about hard to take down?"

Walking with Kili and Mari was fun most of the year. Taking adventures through the woods outside the mountain. However once winter hit you constantly reminded Kili that you were only doing this because you loved him and her. They both loved the snow and laughed as you layered up. Mari played in the snow with Kili as the sun was setting and you announced that it was time to go home. Mari pouted and Kili scooped her up. "Listen to Amad." Kili told her. You walked back to the warmth of your bed and fire place you held on to the walking furnace that was Kili.
As you made it back to the mountain Mari was asleep on Kili's shoulder and you walked over and picked up the growing to fast toddler and put her to bed. You got changed for bed and had to stifle a shriek as you felt water drip off your hair down your back. All you were thinking about how Santa made it through the cold of the north pole.
"Santa is built hardier than you amrĂąlimĂȘ." Kili laughed. You look at him confused how he knew what you were thinking. "Your muttering my sweet." He kisses you in the forehead. You sigh and laugh as you slip into your warm bed and make a wave for Kili to join you. He slides in and pulls you close.
"That or you and Mrs. Claus are both warm enough to keep people like me going." You smirked and pressed your cold toes to his legs. The shriek he let out was stifled by your hand.
"Stop that you evil woman." He bear hugs you to him and whispers."Let me warm you up."

Walking into your room after dinner you see Kili playing with Marila. He is trying to help her walk. Her small chubby hands were holding his fingers as she bounced thrusting her hips. Her small whines and unsteady feet were too cute. "Come on, Mari, Adad has got you." He said as he gently guided her closer to her crib. She stumbled a bit but Kili kept her up right filling the air with praise when she took steps rather than being pulled forward. they finally came full circle around her crib. As they rounded the far side Kili saw you and raised his eyebrows looking back down to Mari. "Do you see this, Amad?"
"Amad!" Mari piped up. The top of her small head could be seen moving left and right trying to find me.
Kili staggered as a look of panic took him over. Mari rounded the crib and came running as fast as her chubby legs could carry her. You stepped forward to meet her and save her in case she stumbled. She reached out for you with a huge grin. "Amad!" She yelled out as you picked her up. Your eyes grew wet as you looked from Mari to Kili still on the other side of the crib.
"She is growing up so fast!" You cried and Mari laughed.
"Don't worry," Kili said coming around the crib and pulling us both in for a hug. ",I have got you."

"Come on Ki you said you would get up with us today and make cookie pies." You said setting Mari on the bed and leaning over to kiss Kili.
"Let me sleep." He moaned.
"You would leave Mari and I all by ourselves?"
Mari had now found her way to Kili's face and sat pulling and pinching his cheeks. "Adad!" She squealed with joy and laughter.
"Mari, adad is sleepy." He said pulling her hands away from his face.
"Did you spend too much time out with Fili last night?" You asked leaning over him.
He pulled you on to the bed cuddling you as you laughed Mari sitting above you both on the pillows.
"I was plenty responsible last night got back with more then enough time." He said punctuating the sentence with a kiss. "Then Dis needed something and I was running a bit late. Finally Thorin said Bilbo had stopped by for a visit and their was drinking and celebrating and now I just want to sleep armilime." He finished with his face buried in your shoulder leaving the lightest kisses on your shoulder as he gave back into sleep.
"Adad!" Mari started again pulling on Kili's hair this time.
"Let's let papa sleep and we will check on him later." You said pulling Mari's hands gently from Kili's hair.
"Why don't you and I go play in town for a bit and then find Uncle Bilbo and pay him a visit if he is still here."

After laying Marila down for a nap it was time to clean the room a bit. You took the dirty clothes and put them in a basket outside the door so that they could be taken to be cleaned.
After picking things up next came putting things away. Some of Kili's things had found their way around the room so you opened one of his drawers and it was full of things, Mari's first dress,
"look at her in this dress. Is she not the prettiest thing you have ever seen?" Kili asked spinning Mari around. You laughed watching the two of them spin.
An old toy,
"Mari you don't want your bubby any more?" Kili asked waving the dilapidated doll at Mari.
The hat he had bought with you while you were with the company,
"I got you something uncle I think you will like it." Kili said shoving the hat unceremoniously down on Thorin's head.
A book pressed leaf,
"I love it I am sorry that I misunderstood what was happening." You said leaning on Kili's shoulder looking at the completed painting that he had surprised you with.
A small swatch of fabric from your wedding dress,
His hand pressed deep into your hip as he lead you away from the reception and towards your shared room.
The knife from the night of the company gathering,

As he spoke his tone light and happy your stomach tightened and spine stiffened. "I am just fine thank you." Your heart clenched at your tone. He did not seem off put as he sat down next to you. He was not interested in you and you needed to stop being so triggered by everything he does.
"Glad to hear it just let us know if you need anything I would be more than happy to help." He said with a smile. Your stomach took a leap at his adorable face.
"I have lived by myself for many years even in the wild. I think I will be fine." You threw your words at him and your heart and stomach again let you know you were being stupid. You did not mean to be rude. "I know what I am doing." Ugh you were not making this any better. You got up and walked away.
Kili POV:
She was seated near the fire.
She seemed to glow like a star.
"Hello are you settling in well?" I asked moving closer.
She looked up. "I am just fine thank you." I sat down next to her as someone got up.
"Glad to hear it just let us know if you need anything I would be more than happy to help." I said happy to be so close to her. She had constantly moved away anytime I walked up. This was the longest conversation we had had past stoping her when Fili first introduced her to the company.
"I have lived by myself for many years even in the wild. I think I will be fine." She said as she gathered her things. "I know what I am doing." She got up and walked away still as beautiful as ever.

Paring: Kili x reader
You woke up to a cold bed. Kili was out and the fire was dying. You got out of bed to feed and stoke the fire as you cursed the cold stones beneath your feet. You took Marila from her warm crib near the fire place as you crawled back in to bed and began to nurse her.
Kili enters as you are getting dressed shaking snow from his boots and hair. "First snow of the year rolled in last night." He says with as smile. You are lacing up your dress as you ask him to help you.
"As long as it stays outside the mountain I might survive."
"Ah yes my hot block hates the snow." Kili said pulling your dress closed. "You love the rain. I don't understand that armilme." Kili ties a knot and leans over your shoulder.
"Rain is not near as cold." You state with a pout and stomp your foot. Kili laughs and kisses your neck. "You are like ice." You says pushing his face away from your neck.
"I love when January comes because you always dress up."
"Because skirts are extra layers over pants otherwise they are just a nuisance. " You say pulling up your skirt to show your pants underneath.
After a day training and taking a patrol around the mountain with Kili you both came back inside. You shook off your boots and skirt. You heard Kili laugh as he watched you stomping around like you would to tell a childs story.
"You typically move with the grace of a breeze this is a new side of you I have not seen."
"Lets just get near a fire before you have a frozen wife."
Kili laughed pulling you on the way to your room. "Heating you up is my specialty. Dis has Mari for a bit longer." You laughed as you followed him.
Later that night after getting Mari from Dis you and Kili returned to your room and settled in for the night.
"I just thought of another reason to like the snow." Kili said cuddling up to you in bed Mari in between you both due to the cold night.
"That is to say there was ever a good reason."
He ignores you and goes on "I though I came up with a good reason this afternoon."
"You never need snow to get me in bed with you." You laughed kissing his cheek.
"Very true but I also get to spend even more time cuddled up to my two favorite people." Kili said stroking Mari's cheek aa she slept.
Looking for Kili was not something you typically needed to do. He almost always let you know where he was going.
He had told you earlier today that he would be with Thorin doing patrols so you probably would not see him much. You had asked to join him but he said that Fili was busy and someone needed to be with Mari. You understood wanting personal space so you agreed and said you would see him when he came back. He kissed you and Mari as he left you both in bed.
As you and Mari walked the halls her cute little tottel was heart melting. Apparently Thorin though so as well. "Mari you are getting too big. You break my heart sulkhalûkh." You almost broke your neck as you quickly looked up to see Thorin with a wide smile reaching down for Mari.
"Did you just get back?" You asked looking for Kili thinking that maybe he was busy putting things way still.
"Get back?" Thorin raised his eye brows as he played with Mari's little hands. "Oh from patrol we came back hours ago." He said looking up at you.
"Where did Kili get off to then. He said you would be gone until late."
"We finished quickly and came back sooner than planned."
"Do you know where he went I wanted to show him something."
"I am not sure he did not tell me." Thorin's eyes went wide and he put his focus back on Mari. Your eyes narrowed at the old dwarf. Kili almost always voiced where he was going like his life was the most interesting news anyone in his family ever needed to hear.
"That's odd for Kili."
"He mush have been in a rush because he dismounted and ran off mumbling something about having to see her. Leaving me to clean up after him." Thorin sighed with an eye roll and rubbed Mari's chin checking for hair like the company always did.
"Her? Who?"
"I don't know I thought he meant you or Mari."
"Can I leave Mari with you?" You asked an uncommon feeling rising up in you. You paced your breathing as you tried to come up with a logical reason, not the panic your brain was flooding with.
"Absolutely." Thorin said too over joyed for the extra time with his niece notice your state.
You walked down the hall Thorin talking to Mari melting into the distance as he walked the opposite way from you. The world seemed to melt away.
Things that you had written off as flukes now stuck out as red flags as you looked for Kili.
Being late late to things he had planned for the two of you.
Saying you both would meet up for archery practice and he was an hour late.
Him saying he would be with Fili for the day and then Fili saying he must have said the wrong name because he had not seen him.
Being late to dinner because he was planning something.
Him saying he would meet you in Dale and then forgetting that saying he was swamped in papers trying to help Thorin.
Your ran your hands through your hair trying to get a grip on the world.
"No no, not Kili."
You were not naive you had been to enough taverns and seen men with women that were not their wives. Not Kili. He was the kind of man to have a single focus. Once he had his eyes on something everything in the sidelines melted away.

The rest of your day passed like a fog you searched for Kili but where ever he was he was hidden well.
Your anger began to grow as your day passed with out finding him. After hours of looking you went back to the training hall. Beating a practice dummy helped a bit. How ever it did not stop the panic at the idea of Kili with another woman.
Passing by a room with the hilt of your sword clutched in your hands as you heard a laugh that made your heart flutter as you moved to the door. Till it crashed to the floor. "Yes! You are wonderful. I will tell (Y/N) tomorrow I promise."
Your heart pounded in your ears and tears flooded your eyes as you heard a female voice respond. "I hope she is ready to go. Dose she suspect anything?"
You charged to the door ready to hit fist ask questions second.
"No I made sure she knows nothing but she will tomorrow and everything will be perfect." The words felt like a rusty sword was being driven through you.
Running away was an understatement. Your feet pounded the ground beneath them and leading you to the exit of the mountain. Mari pops into your head before you could take another step you wipe your face and make your way to Thorin's room.
He and Mari are sitting and reading a book about a jumping dragon. You walk over giving little notice and pulling your daughter away. Walking out of the room as Thorin's shouts follow after you.
Leaving the mountain you make your way to Dale and find an inn with a room. You give the woman behind the counter instructions that you are not here and more money to make sure she knows the story well.
In your room you feed and give Mari a bath getting her ready for bed. "Adad?" Mari starts to cry looking around for Kili.
"Shhhh sweet girl it's okay. Amad is here."
Once Mari is asleep and you know she will not wake you brake down face in a pillow sobs and screams wracking your body as you fall apart.
You could not help but lay thier and think about Kili. No you shook your head as you thought if he does not want me I don't need him.
You planned to stay in the inn for a few more days as you planned where to move on to next. Finding work when you did not have to worry about a baby was one thing. Becoming a guard was out of the question. You milled around a market with Mari wrapped to your chest. Looking at different packs and a change of clothes so that you could start a move on.
When you came back to the inn you told the lady that you would be moving on in a few days she told you that the man in the corner booth was looking for a woman that looked like you. She gave you a sheepish glance as she held up a large sack of coin. You sighed and rolled your eyes as you stroked the back of Mari's head.
As you glanced to see your husband in the corner of the inn's tavern waiting for you to sit. You contemplate your chances of getting to the door. Kili places a hand on the table his eyes moving between you and the door. You glance to see Fili seated near the door and wonder how you missed him when you came in.
Moving slowly to the table Kili leaned in as you sat down. "What do you want?" You cut out your tongue lashing at him like a sword.
"Amral," his hand reached for you slowly and you flinched away. "what is wrong?"
"You think a pretty name and soft touch is going to make up for what you did?" You asked softly stroking Mari's hair and patted her back as she slept.
"What did I do? The last time I saw you I held you and kissed you both as I said good bye." He asked hand still out reached.
"Did you hold and kiss her too?" You glared at his hand so close that part of you wanted to grab it out of habit.
"I woul...Kiss who?" He looked into your soul with his pained brown eyes. "Ghivashel, I have never touched another woman the way I would you."
"Oh just get it over with Kili you said you would tell me so don't lie to both of us. You have been late so often and so unfocused. I should have guessed but I never thought you would be one to cheat!" You took deep breaths as you felt Mari stir and looked down to see her face scrunched up.
Kili's hand slammed on the table as he stood knocking his chair to the floor. "Cheat?" He yelled looking as gutted as you felt. You shushed Mari hoping she would not wake to hear any of this.
"You heard what I said." You stared at him.
"What are you talking about?"
"Mari and I found Thorin, he said you two had come back hours ago and that you had to go see her. I searched almost the entire mountain before I decided to go work off some steam. Then what do I hear as I pass by in the hall, you telling some woman that you would tell me. That she was wonderful. You saying things would be perfect. She asked if I was ready to go. Well I was not ready. I will never be ready, I love you, you dumb dwarf! I had never felt more shattered in my life then hearing that!" You said now fully yelling, Mari crying. Fili getting up and moving to you.
"I can take her."
"I will want her back."
"As always." Fili said in a deep bow. You handed her over keeping a watchful eye as he walked away Mari pulling on his mustache braids while he calmed her down.
"ZĂȘzantĂȘ," Kili walks to you eyes watering hands gently moving towards you. ",I would never. You two mean more to me than anything, anything. When uncle said that you had taken Mari and you did not come to bed I knew that I had to find you. I had to find out why you would leave. I am sorry I even gave off the impression that I would do such a thing. But you running a way is not going to fix it you have to talk to me. Why didn't you barge in and see what was happening."
You cut him off. "I wanted to drive my sword through both of you. I figured Thorin would not take that well and let me live so I left."
"Ghivashel I was planning a surprise for you."
"I hate surprises." You said rolling your eyes.
Kili laughed. "I know that was why I wanted to make it something you would love. Can you just come see what it would have been?"
"There is no other woman?"
"No not like that she is a painter. Come see." He said slowly taking your hand and leading you out of the bar. Fili followed close behind with Mari.
Kili led you to a part of the forest near Dale where a tunnel of trees had become on fire with the seasons.

"Thorin and I found this on our last trip to Dale and I wanted to make sure it would look good in your favorite color so I waited and then when I saw it last autumn I knew it would be perfect. So I arranged for Gathora to paint a portrait of us and we were getting ready to tell you yesterday."
"Two years! You have been planning this for two years." You spun around to see him.
"I needed it to be perfect."
"I ruined that." He looked down at you a smile on his face that made you melt.
"You made it interesting. More action and searching than I had planned." He laughed. That made Mari look around past the leaves and pretty trees to find him.
"Adad!" She said and waddled her way to him. Kili's smile grew wide as he turned to look at her.
"What?"
"Adad, adad!" She shouted with joy and rushed him. He scooped her up and laughed as he asked her to say it again.
Iâm know Iâm not the first person to say this, but any newbies on tumblr really need to understand how different this is from a lot of other social media. Particularly tiktok.
I just saw a creator on tiktok reminding followers that itâs actually a problem when someone goes back to the earliest post and watches all the posts chronologically, liking and commenting along the way. The stupid app recognizes it as spam or something and then kinda puts a halt on their account? Literally punishing people for positive engagement?? đ„Žđ€Šââïž
Iâve already heard people saying years back how they donât want to be âcreepyâ and go through a persons blog, liking and reblogging tons of stuff. But think how many more people are going to be worried about it now, thinking they might do actual damage! Most people, especially younger people, are so used to the way tiktok works now. So please, do not ever worry about this on here. Just remember-
You will never do any harm if you go on a like and reblog fest through someoneâs tumblr blog! The only risk youâre taking is to make the blog owner weep for joy!! đđ€Ł
