Sometimes, Lucas forgets how his brother is the older one, yet he's the one who's doing the protecting. Though, it does make up for all the times Lucas had been the one who needed protecting when they were children. In the blond's eyes, this is simply him returning the favour to Claus, to keep his brother safe from the world after Porky's nasty reign happened.

Adrian gets a response from Lucas, who's shaking his head as he waves his hands. "N-no! Please, please stay. I'm really sorry, I just get protective over my brother, you see. Please, go ahead, ask us anything you want!"

"Is everything okay, by the way? Is there anything we can do?"

Adrian gave Lucas a small smile.

"N...no, it's fine! I get that. I really do. I'm not...not upset at all." Any questions at all, huh? Adrian should try to keep that in mind. "A...Also, yes, I'm doing fine!"

"Well, glad to know that you seem to be doin' well." Claus couldn't help but wonder why he hadn't found him earlier. Though, he supposed that question didn't really matter much. The kid probably had other places that he could have hid in. "And like Luc said, you can ask anythin' you wanna!"

"Where...Where do you live? And what's it like?" Adrian decided to ask Lucas.

The past has made the blond more protective of the family he has left, of anything sacred to him, that he'd be more than willing to go out of his way to stop whatever threat came his way. Losing Claus more than once hadn't made Lucas' protectiveness any better, especially when he's seen Claus go through so much in such a short space of time.

Never again will he be weak in front of Claus. Lucas is strong now, he can be the strong one for them both. He's had plenty of practice on strengthening his PSI for when he needs to do so.

However, this is one of those times where Lucas has nothing to worry about, that his protectiveness is simply misplaced. The blond is quick to back down, stepping back to give them some space. Then, he rubs his arm, sweating sheepishly with an awkward frown.

"O-oh. Right. S-sorry. I got defensive. Apologies. Ah, urm, c-continue. What you were saying, I mean."

It's just a relief to see Claus isn't in danger. Lucas could live with seeing Claus meeting friends if it meant he's safe.

"No harm done, really. Don't worry about it, it's fine." Adrian said with a smile, then looked at Claus. "Like I asked before, you both are siblings, right?" Claus nodded in response to this.

'Yep! Me and Lucas are both twins, actually." Claus then pointed to himself. "I'm the older twin, though."

"Well, uh..." Adrian looked at Lucas. "It's very nice to meet you! And uh...Sorry again for...for starting you both." He said with a nervous look on his face. " I just...I didn't expect to see anyone here. Especially...Not a familiar face." He drummed his fingers nervously.

"I can...Can leave, if you need me to?" Adrian asked, his tail swished back and forth. "There's...Also a lot...lot of questions I want to ask but..they can wait?"

Joining his side, Lucas remains alert, keeping his PSI awake to ensure he could protect his brother should anything happen during being there. The younger twin is surprised to learn this, wondering what Claus could've heard about. However, this is soon answered by the splash, then a face, then a figure to them.

Their appearance had Lucas stunned, wondering who this was as he examined every detail he is able to list mentally. The boy calls his brother Commander, something Lucas hadn't heard in so long. Not since Porky had been sent away in that capsule. Though, it had Lucas wondering how they knew each other, if they knew each other, that is.

Sensing his brother's discomfort, Lucas steps forward to take over, wanting to give Claus a moment to recover from falling over. The blond is hesitant, but stands his ground, not afraid to do what it took to protect Claus.

"Who are you? How do you know my brother?"

The other boy looked at the twins, and slowly got out of the water. If it wasn't clear before that he was some sort of chimera, it was rather obvious now.

The boy had an axolotl tail, though it was currently low to the ground. He cleared his throat.

"I...Sorry." The boy backed away slightly. Claus looked at the other chimera in confusion. "Didn't...Didn't mean to cause a problem!" He said, then went silent.

"It's okay, just...call me Claus, okay? Not 'commander'." The other boy nodded, then looked at Lucas.

"You're siblings?" Ah, so that's why the blond boy looked so much like Claus. "I've only seen him once or twice." After the other said that, Claus got up, and dusted himself off. "I...think that my name is Adrien? That sounds right..." Claus looked at Lucas.

"...Luc, I think he's harmless." He sounded rather certain.

Lucas had forgotten how quick his older brother is, given how the blond had to use his PSI to catch up. Goodness, had Claus been training while he hadn't been looking? It appeared so, for Claus is certainly faster than before. Looks like Lucas is going to have to up his game in training if this is the case. He can't let the quiet life slow him down.

After he managed to catch up Claus, Lucas panted, his hands on his knees as he hunched over, commenting how he's fast. If it hadn't have been for his PSI, there'd be no way he'd have found Claus, or followed where he'd been going. Thank goodness for that.

"Pant, pant... Bro, what's going on? Why did you come here all of a sudden? Is everything alright?"

As the boy continued to gather his breath back, he slowly stood up, the panting continues as he takes this moment to rest. It's only when he hears the loud thud when Lucas gasps, looking over to where Claus is. On the floor. This alarms the boy, causing him to run over to him, his PSI activated in case a threat came, or if Claus need healing.

"Oh no, you okay? What happened? Are you hurt?"

Well, he was going to explain why he was here, at least until he had suddenly fallen down. The arm that had grabbed him had quickly let go, and gone back into the water. It took a bit for Claus to get back on his feet. Once he did, though, he looked at Lucas.

"...Yeah, I'm fine, Luc. I think I was grabbed." He said, then paused. "The reason I came here was because I heard rumors that somethin' was spotted in the water. And I'll admit, I got curious..." Claus soon heard a splash in the river, and looked, and was rather surprised by what he found.

A boy looked up at Claus from the river. He looked like he was around the same age as the twins. He had black, messy hair, a pair of goggles, and brown eyes. Most noticeable, though, were the black axolotl gills that the boy had.

"...Commander?" The boy asked, his voice soft, but raspy, as it he hadn't talked in a while.

"That's....I don't really go by that anymore." Claus had finally said, and the other boy looked rather confused.

He hadn't noticed that his younger brother had called out to him. Admittedly, he figured that he would be quick, that no one would have noticed that he had left. It seemed like he was wrong about that.

After a while, Claus had stopped in front of the river, and finally looked behind himself to notice that yes, Lucas had followed him. Maybe he should have said so,ething about where he had planned to go...He rubbed his arm.

"Er...Sorry Luc." Well, maybe it was a good thing that Claus wasn't here alone. He didn't have healing PSI after all...

The older twin soon looked back at the river, and was shocked to see that something had swam through the water. He was unable to get a good look though, so he had stepped closer to the water with caution. An arm that looked rather similar to an axolotl's front leg had suddenly grabbed Claus' leg.

This had caused Claus to be startled and trip, so he fell to the ground.

Oh? Wanting to visit their relative? Alright, the blond would happily agree, if Claus wanted to do this! It was such a nice day so walking would be perfect for the twins. Get some vitamin D, or whatever they would say. It was a saying Lucas had heard when he was younger from their mother, though he was sure she was only saying it before to get them out of the house. Now, though, Lucas assumed it was because the sunlight was good for you. If only he had listened to his mother more.

It'd take some time before they'd reach Alec's, so this was a good journey to allow them to catch up with stuff. The twins were busy with their own lives, after all. Often, the chance these two would get wouldn't be much, so Lucas is happy to spend time with his best friend when he can.

Lucas hums to himself as they keep walking, arms behind his back with a smile. "So, have you been getting up to much? Anything you want to share? I'm just happy to be able to get a chance to spend time with you again. It's been a while, or it feels like a while."

Lucas really needs to stop thinking about the past.

Claus knew that it would take a bit of time to get to Alec's house. It would be quicker if he flew there. but he's certain that his little brother would not like to suddenly be carried. So, walking it was. Plus, it would be nice to just talk about stuff.

"...I mess, I guess that it has felt like a while..." The young chimera muttered as he walked. As he did so, he finally put his wings away. He didn't really want to deal with a comment on them from any of the other villagers.

As for what to talk about, where exactly should he even start...?

"...Feel's like a lotta stuff's been happenin'." Claus said as he rubbed his arm. "Hope that things have been goin' at least a bit better for you, though."

Any kind of smile from his brother meant so much to the blond. It made him feel good inside whenever Claus smiled, knowing he had the right thing to make his brother feel better. With a large smile, the boy pushes himself off the bed, hurrying to his side. Travelling with Claus again - how awesome. Lucas missed his brother so much when he wasn't around for those three years, so he wanted to make it up to him by spending as much time as he could with him.

He's quick to hold the doors open for Claus as they leave the house. Once they get outside, Lucas stretches his arms with a smile, feeling the sun hit his skin, giving him that warmth he loved so much.

"So," Lucas starts, still smiling widely. "How far did you want to go? Up to grandpa's house, or more local? I promise not to keep you out for a long, haha! We can head back whenever you want to, bro. Just say the word."

By now, they were well on their way from the house.

Claus noticed that Lucas smiled as he had left the bed, and the smile on the older twin's face was bigger. It was always nice to see his little brother smile.

"Thank you." Claus said when his little brother held open the door for him. It seems like a nice day outside today. Not too hot, not to cold. Claus walked outside, his wings soon stretched out for a bit, then went into resting position.

How far did he want to go, huh? Well, at fist he had thought that it would be a good idea just to go to the Sunshine Forest, but...

"Grandpa's house." The young chimera paused for a bit, and then nodded. "Yeah, Grandpa's house sounds like a good idea."

Lucas smiled softly. Okay, then they'll go somewhere quiet. Totally fine with the blond boy, whatever his brother wanted, they'd do it. He nods. "Sure. How about we go wandering outside for a bit? See if any sights catches your eye?"

The places Lucas likes might not be liked by Claus, so he decided to offer this choice so that his brother could choose himself, for him to pick a scenery or place where he might feel comfortable at. Quiet, light places where Lucas' thing. But, would Claus be the same? He wasn't sure, so he was going to have an open mind about this.

"I'm sure we've got some places we haven't seen yet."

Claus nodded in response to Lucas' suggestion. Yeah, that was fine with the young chimera. He thought that was a great idea.

"Yeah, let's do that." As soon as he had heard that suggestion, he had walked towards the door, and gave his little brother a small smile. A new place to explore would be nice, but really, anywhere on the Nowhere Islands would be fine.

...Well, Tanetane and New Pork City were areas where he would not go, not unless he was forced to.

Uh oh. Usually that meant something was bothering Claus. Even as children, Lucas could normally tell when something was on his brother's mind, given that they were twins after all. Silently, he listens, giving Claus the chance to process whatever was going on in his mind.

Thinking too much. Ah, something Lucas normally did himself. The frown grew a bit, his eyes softening with sympathy.

"I'm sorry, bro. Is there anything that I can do to help?"

Claus was quiet for a bit. Yeah, it was rather clear that the young chimera's own thoughts were bothering him a lot.

Usually, what he did was either practice with his psi, marksmanship, or swordsmanship to try to clear his mind, but right now he wasn't really sure if that would help much.

"It's fine. I just....Need something to distract me." He said, then paused for a bit "...Do you know any good places to explore, maybe?" That might be a good idea.

Hearing this, the younger twin frowned with concern, wondering if something was going on with his brother. They hadn't had a serious talk in a while, had they? Both of them had been so busy with their own lives that they hadn't had a twin chat in some time now. But, Lucas would always find the time for his brother.

Not wanting to step into a subject that might cause Claus to get upset, Lucas quizzed gently. "Ah? Anything on your mind?" he hoped by asking, Claus would open up to him. Because if something was wrong, Lucas wanted to help. No matter how serious or great the problem is, nothing was off limits.

Claus was his best friend. He owed so much to him.

Claus noticed his younger brother's concerned expression.

"Anythin' on my mind, huh?" The young chimera repeated the question, and drummed his fingers against his robotic arm as he thought. Honestly, he did have a lot of things on his mind.

"...Where do I even start...?" Claus muttered to himself as he soon sat down next to Lucas. "I feel like I've been thinkin' too much...I...Also didn't sleep last night..." Claus said as he rubbed his arm.

Claus gave his little brother a rather small, yet noticeably tired looking smile.

"I'm glad that you're doin' okay. And, you don't need to apologize, it's fine." Once Lucas asked if Claus needed anything, though, he went silent for a bit.

"Well, uh...I'm fine." Claus finally responded after a while. "I've just been....Restless, I guess."

"Hope you're okay big brother, sorry I was gone for a while. It's good to see you again." massive hugs for the older twin.

Claus gave his younger twin brother a hug.

"It's good to see you again as well, Luc!" I missed you..." The young chimera said, then paused for a bit. "I'm fine, but I feel like I'm the one who should be askin' if you're doin' okay."

"Hey, son." Black approached Claus slowly. "You've probably heard that I'd died, but...I'm fine, and there's no need to worry about me." She then pulled the chimera in for a hug.

Claus had stared off into the distance when he had heard the news about Agent Black's death. There was no way that could be true, right...?

Claus hadn't expected for her to pull him in for a hug, and it had taken a bit for him to truly process what exactly was happening, but once he did, the young chimera hugged his mom back, tightly, as if he was afraid to let her go. And he wouldn't, not for a while.

"...I'm glad you're alright,mom" The young chimera finally said after a large amount of silence.
