Rules: List five topics you can talk about for an hour without preparing any material, and tag five people!
1. Old Hollywood movies and movie history (~1929-1965) -> behind the scenes, pre-code, movie trivia, etc.
2. Jack Benny -> his career, comedy history, inside jokes, radio program and television program, etc.
3. Media about the Tudor era/historical enthusiast -> (books, shows, movies) I won’t say I’m a “historian” because period dramas aren’t necessarily accurate or aren’t even trying to be accurate, though I do know the basics!
4. Chicago tragedies -> the Great Chicago Fire, S.S. Eastland disaster, & the Iroquois Theatre Gire
5. Catholicism and Lutheranism

Okay so there’s a lot I want to say:
1. The animated Barbie movies
I have so many things to say about the ones I’ve seen. Mostly about the parents. Like most of you are doing them all a massive disservice. Yes, I will admit Annika’s parents could’ve handled the situation a whole lot better and actually tell her something. But at the same time seeing your older child get turned into a fucking Pegasus by a madman. And then that child disappearing after a while, has got to be traumatic and fuck up your thought process quite a bit.
Also what the hell was up with Gothel and Wilhelm? Like yeah she took his kid because he saw their interactions as solely a friendship, but like what were the specifics. Were they longterm friends? Because the way Gothel speaks about it is like she fell head over heels for him. And presumably she never told him how she felt. So I’m guessing what happened was they met. Then they spent time together. Wilhelm saw it as a friendship so then he went and fell in love with his wife. Gothel just got super petty how he went and got a wife, just stopped speaking to him. And then fucking stole his child, for revenge because she was upset he got a wife and had a child.
Finally Queen Genevieve and King Randolph. I think these two are very similar character wise. (I personally don’t believe the theory that Queen Genevieve is Princess Genevieve) They’ve both lost their spouse. And they were betrayed by someone close to them that they thought they could trust. Rowena was Randolph’s cousin and he obviously cared for her. And Genevieve saw Preminger as a very close friend. And they both came horrifically close to losing everything they held dear. Randolph fucking temporarily died and Preminger was within an inch of becoming king. (Not that he would’ve stayed king for long, I’m writing an essay for that)
It does legitimately irritate me when I see people saying that they were dumb. Randolph is literally dying for most of the movie, of course he’s not going to be all there. The man is being poisoned for gods sake! And with Genevieve the only person she has to help is Preminger! There are no other nobles shown within her kingdom in the movie. Dominic and Bismark do not count because they’re from a different kingdom. Of course she’s going to trust him, she makes her own independent decisions, but still he’s the only one there her own age. Same goes for Randolph, he only has Rowena to help him. Give them a fucking break!
Additionally I’d like to add King Randolph is a dilf.
2. The War of the Roses
Specifically Henry VI, because of course I love any chance to talk about him. Edward of Lancaster and Margaret of Anjou deserve better. Edward being painted as evil is something I can’t get over. Also I must know more about Edmund Beaufort and Richard Plantagenet. Is there any specific details of their feud out there.
3. Lost Media
It speaks for itself really. How does this media get lost? Why does it get lost? And the fact that’s it’s everywhere. Like Everyone Knows That, it’s such a beautiful song and the fact it was found in a porn movie.
4. Miraculous
Miraculous is a trash fire with problems to large to ignore so there’s so much to discuss. Yes, I will bring up how Chloe was done dirty. Her character arc didn’t need to be a redemption, but what they did with her was a disgrace. That stuff is genuinely harmful to kids who might see that and even slightly relate to Chloe’s experience. And people in 2024 need to stop speaking about her like she’s the embodiment of the devil.
With the way everyone speaks about the show, I’ve come to the conclusion there is little to nothing salvageable about the show. It’s needs to end and the movie was objectively better than the show.
5. Slay the Princess
It appeals to me in so many ways. The art is stunning and breathtaking and so full of detail. The voice acting. The soundtrack. (I love the Damsel so so much) It’s the perfect mix of that horror, that element of having a beast and a princess. Ahh…just everything is so good.
Old horror movies would definitely be my sixth option.

oooh i think i did something like this a while back but i’m going to go into more detail :D
1. my OC universe, nights near sadovoje! i can explain both the original version i have and my future rewrite plan (which is almost identical save for making new names for the characters) as well as past versions of the OCs and what the universe was like before i decided to put all of my OCs into one world :DDD
2. my chemistry class this semester! i absolutely adored it and the only thing i would need in preparation is just the list of units we went over and i could explain all of them. it’s chemistry for nursing so we talked about ionic and covalent bonds, acids and bases, as well as functional groups and simple organic structures (alkenes, hydrocarbons, sugars, fats, fatty acids, amino acids, proteins, nucleotides, DNA)
3. what i did with at the middle school last year when i was helping special education kids with their science projects! it even inspired me for my story >:)))
4. the SCP foundation and various storylines it holds (dr bright, clef, gears, and kondraki, the serpent’s hand, pitch haven, the Bottle Canon iykyk, etc)
5. this isn’t really a topic but i would gossip NON STOP about people i dislike. i think everyone can do this.
