A new beginning

Saeran nodded his head in an understanding manner, too as he heard her point of view about his taste in music. No shocking news so far, after what he picked up before. Time to time the turquoise irides evaded hers for a while, since Nana was telling some more facts about her favored genre. She seemed so … folksy and plain. Not in an unpleasant manner though.
“I … see.”, the redhead simply returned, lapsing into silence straight away. This conversation was horrible. It was quite an advantage to have the blonde as his dialogue partner. She seemed pretty good at talking to people. Well she wasn’t the party coordinator for nothing, right? Why did he join the RFA again? He totally sucked at this… at being social. Social conventions in general were difficult for Sevens twin, he had to learn them step by step, but the real problem was, people expected him to function like a normal grown up already just by seeing them. Saeran hated it. Again distracted by his thoughts he jerked up, looked at Nana and simply shrugged. “He’s… such a chatterbox.”, was his second reaction to the blonde’s statement, then, he shrugged again, “Yeah…?” Why not? Trying one wouldn’t kill him. So he waited for Nana, to give him one of those cookies, so he could grab one and lifted it to his mouth. First of all he sniffed at it, realising, it seemed pretty ordinary. So he had to take a bite. His lips opened he pushed his teeth into the baked good… it was kind of hard to chew.
“Fiff… iff horriffle…”, he murmured still gnawing slowly, but audible, “Waff iff iff even made off?”
“Ahaha…B-Brutally honest, huh?” she muttered, trying to hide her slight disappointment. You may say it’s better to give your unbiased opinion on something, but hearing him call her cookies ‘horrible’ did sting a little. “ーNo! I can’t be depressed about it! I’ll just try harder next time to make them edible!” Nana concluded, clenching her fists.
Were they really that bad though? The blonde had tried one once they were fresh out of the oven and they honestly tasted okay. A little dense perhaps, but not unbearable. Little did she know that they had hardened overtime, making them difficult to chew.
“Let’s give this a try…Mmphー!?”
Her teeth had sunk about halfway through the biscuit before they got stuck. After a few more tries of applying more pressure, she finally got through there, flinching at the audible ‘crack’ it made. …That was the cookie right? Should she start scheduling a dentist appointment.
“W-What happened to these!? They’re like brick now! Ahー I’m so sorry I made you try one of these! You can spit it out if you want!” she promptly added, glancing over at the box of leftover cookies. Guess those would have to get thrown away. The female was originally planning on handing them out to the different RFA members, but that was out of the question now. They’d probably they she’s trying to prank them or something.
“Haah…I really wish I was a better cook. Valentine’s Day coming up soon as well and I was hoping to hand out some handmade chocolates to my friends. Guess I’ll have to chance that to store-bought ones…”
Come to think of it, none of the members excelled in cooking. Yoosung was probably best at it, but you couldn’t really call him a master chef either. Should she ask Jumin to hire a cooking teacher? No, no. That’d be way too expensive.
“…Who usually cooks for you guys? The maid? I doubt Saeyoung’s very good at it. All he ever eats are those chips anyway.”
That was probably a good idea... After he leaned down towards the desk, he grabbed the garbage bin and spit the crumbles inside of it.“Say, did you even try one yourself?”, the redhead wanted to know, again as ruthless as before, turning the cookie in his hands, while looking at it. “No way...!”, he murmured as soon as he realized something weird, throwed the cookie into the bin as well, to grab for the box Nana was keeping them in, opened it again to rummage through the other biscuits she made, turning each one of them around in his hand, staring at them, examinating them sceptically. Then, after he seemed to found something, he breaked one of the baked goods in half, to grin confidently. “It was him. He exchanged your cookies with those. By him, I mean my brother. He tricked you. He took them. And ate them by himself. Cuz they were too delicious to share. See?” To explain what he ment he lifted up the piece of paper he just found inside of the flat biscuit. These are dummies. He didn’t even try.” Saeran bent towards Nana to show her the note which simply said They were too delicious to share.
